I think many are waiting for Linda to answer a question..to explain what she means
by "hearing Gods voice"

Im with Noahsmom. The innerman, the Peace of God, The conscience, and always theres
scripture to test with. Otherwise I walk by faith knowing my life has His providential hand
in it.

I believe that its very misleading to say its mandatory to hear voices
then dodge explaining what you mean. And the amen crew are guilty
also. This leads any young convert to seek to hear voices if their eternal
souls matter to them. And voices now they must hear.

Shame on the bunch of you that teach and spread this kind of garbage.
Most people know there is a demonic realm, and that our imaginations
can go wild. I cant give a rip about your subjective experiences, grow
up and have a heart for someone else besides your yourself.

By the way to any reader, hearing a voice is not what the bible means
by hearing His voice. It means your understanding will be empowered
to understand. If God chooses to give you an audible voice He will.
But it is not common. Most people who say He did lied. And it is not
at all necessary to hear any voices to know the Lord.

Lovechilds you continue to make these claims and refuse to explain.
You just refuse. Ive asked you many times in many threads to explain
for other readers sake exactly what you mean. Your spiritworld life
to me is nothing more than a scattering. Your ought to have a rethink.
The question has NEVER been the hearing, but what it means to hear. Audible? just what.
If its a understanding that comes from the Spirit...fine. That is confirmed in scripture. But to be sassy
and run around the forums telling people if they dont hear Gods voice they arnt saved.
That demands an explaination.

I don't want to keep caring on over anything to anyone. People on this site are pretty good at talking stuff and think no one can talk back. I can love God and not be someones door mat.

Hey I'm happy to be a door matt, nothing compared to what Jesus went thru for me, you, everyone.
We all spend alot of time in the epistles but it seems we forget that everything they wrote for us Jesus encountered, He only went harsh on the elites, sure He rebuked a few apostles but nothing like the pharasies.
But then we grab hold of 2 Tim and think it gives us liscence to go full bore and justify ourselves, back biting and throwing stones. Can we remember to hear Jesus' Word first and foremost?? Please

Faith comes by hearing the Word of God, what He has spoken since it all began, that's our foundation in our walk, everything else is by His will if we obey His commandments.
Hmmm I can recall only three, Love God, love thy neighbor, and 1 cor 7 off hand that Paul states on marriage.
Please add more if one can, I'm thinking but those three they came to mind first. Love covers a heap of them so I won't go into that kind of detail, their teachings, correct me pls if I'm wrong.

So if you want to blame people that they speak of THEIR own "enlightment" you have to blame Paul as well.

And why would so many men die when David committed the sin? Why do people have to repent when God commanded them to do the sin? 2 Samuel 24:1 and verse 10 and verse 15. What was going on there, ask the Lord you two! And please share with us so we can also know.

Fester i am on Africa time, you have to be patient, I spend a lot of time a day in the Word, well just about the whole day, or is it the whole day... Another question Strangelove can maybe ask the Lord... Does Cobus spend enough time with the Word and God?

But if we worship Him then he'll hear us! GREAT.

I guess you and deadflesh need to sort out how its possible to ask God forgiveness of sins if He cant hear you.

Cobus ..... Unclefester was a fictional character in a T.V. show during the 1960's.....a comical character of a silly fictional family (Adam's Family). My using his name is nothing more than a testament that I am willing to laugh at myself and my own folly when the occasion warrants as much. He's also the only person I've seen that could illuminate a lightbulb simply by screwing it into his mouth. How can one not be impressed by that ? Not only that Cobus .......the chicks really dig it too. I've had so many marriage proposals on this forum, I've had to fight them off with a stick. It's not easy being me ya know :)

Yes.....I can. Particularly when the latter is merely attempting to mimmick the true and real prophets of old and claiming himself to be one of them. Anybody can claim to be an apostle or prophet. Question God's intent and motive for being angry with Israel yourself Cobus. You've aligned yourself on this forum with others that "talk directly to God" and literally "hear His voice" .......ask them for the answer you seek. And keep "working to earn" your salvation thru sinlessness if you so choose. And after you've exhausted your human effort to be perfect, kneel at the foot of the cross and bare your soul to Jesus Christ with a humble and contrite heart. Salvation and forgiveness is ours for the asking. It is God's free gift of grace given to us by faith in Jesus Christ. The good works and all the rest follows naturally. You are putting the cart before the horse. Won't work Cobus .....no matter how badly you want it to or how hard you try. We are saved by grace and grace alone .......not by our effort. I'm not seeking any argument with you. But like yourself, I reserve the right to ask questions and disagree with other views on this forum.

i'm going out into the bush today and sitting in silence until i hear a voice. i'm expecting angels to show up too.

hopefully i'll have a prophecy for America when i get back!
