Does anyone else shoot starlings? I use a Stoeger .22 pellet gun to do the job.

We don't really have starlings around here.... our flying rodents are grackles... let's just say they have learned to give my back yard a wide berth....

Since this IS the firearms thread..... this is my latest addition. My EDC (every day carry) has been a Sig P938, which is basically a mini-1911... carried cocked and locked.
I have, for the past few months, been hampered with "trigger thumb"... which has nothing to do with anything fun, like shooting. I have limited mobility, and moderate to severe pain when trying to "do" things with my thumb, like pushing down on a safety lever on a handgun...
I decided to get a small handgun that does not have a safety, and narrowed it down to the SA Hellcat, or the Sig P365, or the new FN Reflex. After much consideration and handling of all the choices... I ended up with this one... the Reflex. It has a really nice single action trigger pull, due to it being an internal hammer, instead of a striker.
Anyway, I've only had it out once, and found that it's shooting a little left for me, so I need to adjust the rear sight a bit....
But, it shows a lot of promise... small, un-obtrusive, 11 round capacity... I think I'm going to like it.
The recoil is a bit snappy, being such a small 9mm, but it's not unmanageable....

That is awesome, I like my smith shield 2.0 because it has the same grip angle as the 1911. Super intuitive.

I don't personally own any guns, and I've only fired them twice in my whole life. That said, I still am a loyal supporter of the
Second Amendment, and I have no problem whatsoever debating those who disagree. My basic stance is very simple - most crooks don't care one bit how or where they get their weapons, as long as their schemes are accomplished. As a result, the only thing so-called "gun control" does, is make it even tougher for decent citizens to protect themselves. Some have objected to this, with questions like "But do you really need an AR-15?" And my response is to paraphrase Ben Shapiro: "Its not about what we need, but what we have a right to. The moment the government gets to decide what you need, we've become a communist country". He does approve of screenings for both the mentally ill and those with violent criminal records, but otherwise his view seems pretty consistent.

Ben has debated Piers Morgan multiple times on this, and I remember Piers placed six boxes of Sudafed on the table between them. He then said, "I can't buy all of this at once in this country; its illegal. But I can go online, and get an AR-15 with 6,000 rounds of ammunition. Don't you find that to be inconsistent?" Ben's response was to simply say, "I don't see what one has to do with the other." Later though, Ben apparently contacted Piers privately, sending him this message - "Don't bring Sudafed to a Constitution fight."
