Wow, while I knew you and I disagreed theologically, I didn't think you'd be into the conspiracy theory bit too. Come on, do you honestly believe that? Why do you swallow hook line and sinker every crazy story about the Jesuits or us Catholics, but when we point to the actual sources and documents of these groups you ignore them. Is it really Christian to bear false witness about what we believe?

Considering the fact that the guy posting it somehow believes that the Protocols of the Elders of Zion is credible, and that 9/11 is a massive government conspiracy in the face of all rational evidence, why should I bother?

I din't say that their main purpose in their founding was to counter the Reformation, I said that became their main purpose. They were founded to teach the poor, they were and still are a teaching order. But they are also great missionaries and were sent to areas in the third world where Protestant missionaries also were, and thus they became proficient at combating Protestantism in those areas.

So what yer saying is.....because the Catholic church didnt MAKE KNOWN her position on Protestant heresies until after the Jesuits were approved...THAT means that the Jesuits were not formed for that purpose???
