You answered me inside some of my quotes. As a result I couldn't automatically reply to them so I had to manually pull them out. Anyway.....

Non-OSAS Christians are calm and chill because our faith and hope is actually in God who we abide in, not us. As a Christian abides in Christ and doesn't resist His work in us, God does ALL THE WORK of maturing us in godliness and obedience and makes us stronger in faith and trust in Him. It's truly freeing to be in Christ!

🎠
lol

I have yet to meet a non OSAS Christian who is calm.

Every one of them are warning me (and themselves) how we have to remain in christ, how we have to meet some standard. how we have to work work word. or we will not get to heaven.

You do not share in my hope..

My hope is completely in God.

Not myself..

I hate the term OSAS.. To me, it is a calvinist term, and I truly believe why it is hated so much,

I prefer the term eternal life, or eternal security.

Thats what I have. I have confidence he will comp0lete his work in me,, Not that he might, Because its his work not mine

Never a truer word spoken

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:31-32‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me. Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own.”
‭‭John‬ ‭7:16-17‬ ‭
His true children do his will. thats how they know they are his.

and they are not afraid if they step out of line and walk away, God will go back on his promise.

If we are looking to our performance to determine if we are saved or not. We better stop. and look to Christ.

One of the reasons I answered as I did in an earlier post was to answer this question. What is the "will" of God? Is it an expressed desire or is it His actual will?
The WILL of God always comes to pass...Daniel 4:35. So if God's desire that all be saved and His unwillingness that any should perish represent His will, then everyone would get saved. Since we know that is not the case, then we know those verses are speaking about God's preference and propensity towards man.
brother please look at what your saying

The WILL of God always comes to pass...Daniel 4:35. So if God's desire that all be saved and His unwillingness that any should perish represent His will, then everyone would get saved.”

“For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭2:3-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

why do you say if that’s his Will ? you can now say it’s gods will for none to perish and for all to be saved yoy don’t have to say “ if God wills that none perish but all come to repentance

Peter is not wrong . Paul is not wrong when he says there Gods desire is for all to be saved and come to the truth

clearly God wills no one perish and that all are saved it’s no longer an of that’s his Will right ? But then there’s this

“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭13:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

maybe he’s telling people that because his Will is that no one perishes ?????? And he’s not going to force them but instead tells them to believe him and they’ll be saved ? But then though they might think what he said is true and feel the need to repent huh ?

Let me try it this way:
If God wills something, does it always come to pass?

Does or does not God's will always come to pass?
You tell me

“And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. ( this is Gods Will for man or satans will for man ?)

And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. ( God manifested this and now he’s grieves his own heart because he made man for wickedness ? )

And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. ( is this Gods Will or a regret because of what man did with life he gave them ?)

The earth also was corrupt before God, ( in genesis 1 he says everything he made was very good did he corrupt it so he could destroy it all by his Will ? )

and the earth was filled with violence. ( is man being violent to other men gods will ?)

And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; ( this is not what he caused )

for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. ( God didn’t do this the creation did it by listening to satans will )

And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.”( is god punishing them because he caused it all and blaming them ?)
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭6:3, 5-7, 11-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Was this Gods Will ? Or what happened because of mans corruption and is God grieved by what he sees ???? And then does he make a plan to save mankind …

brother to answer your question yes Gods will always comes to pass according to what he said only his Will only

now add in that he creates mankind gave them freedom to choose informed them of the choice of life and death. His Will was to give mankind dominion on earth in the beginning

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1:26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

man was then corrupted not by God or Gods Will but by Satan and his corrupt will

This happened beother because God involved man in creation put us in charge of earth and we went astray this was never the Will of God ot caused him grief and pain and made him repent for even creating us ……

“Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. the enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:24-30, 39‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In the end beyond our understanding everything will work out according to his Will but based nlt upon what he actually said to us , in the middle we better start believing and choosing life because we don’t know about who’s “ chosen “ we need to go the path Jesus made for us

brother Gods Will is good for every creature this doesn’t change thier own place in the creation as those who are free to choose life or death

Ok, so if the will of God always comes to pass, and it is the will of God that all be saved, why don't all get saved?
Because they reject the gospel when they hear it for what it is just exactly like Adam did to remove himself from Gods good and perfect Will for him

where did Adam go wrong ?

Gods Will is for Adam to be here

“And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:8-9‬ ‭

This is gods will for Adam he simply told him

“And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:15-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God spoke to him but look what happens to lead him astray but look how it’s not Gods Will doing this his Will was to put Adam in Eden and give him freedom but also warn him like any father would of the danger

“And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; in the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:4-9, 11, 16-17, 19, 23-24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s the same now God actually said what’s in the gospel for mans eternal life , but the world around us wants to snatch that word of life away from us like Satan did to them in eden by offering us alternative things to believe and follow

we part from Gods Will when we reject the true words he speaks to mankind this is just what happened in eden

God told man the truth that will keep their lives

“Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”
‭‭John‬ ‭18:37‬ ‭KJV‬‬

and satan comes after we hear it trying to snatch it away and replace it with fallacy he knows will kill us

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭4:3-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That’s what Satan did turned thoer ears from what God actually said over to his view of the fruit and they sinned and died like God warned them not to do

His Will is always expressed by what he says to us what he’s said to us is what Jesus said in the gospel

Gods Will is good but we are also free to choose life or death

What does it matter what they do? When God wills a thing it must come to pass...He DOES His will in the armies of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none shall stay His hand...Daniel 4:35.
I'm suggesting to you that the phrases...God desires that all men be saved...and...is unwilling that any should perish...do not represent God's will because they don't come to pass. Instead, they represent God's disposition and preference for man.
At any rate, I'm not sure you are getting the distinction. But as always, I appreciate the discussion.

Right. God allows those with free will to reject Him if they so choose. …And yet, it is God’s will that the whole world be saved.
