I guess I'm always surprised when I encounter Glenn Close of Fatal Attraction posting on a thread. I guess
by now I shouldn't be.
And yet I am never shocked by your persistent hypocrisy as it speaks volumes in every thread you manifest your doctrinal idealism.

I don't see anything you did that would be an embarrassment on me knowing I have the ability to explain my actions and let my own words be the judge.

Possibly you had no idea who I was speaking to.

I assure you that he is in everyone of these threads and looking at his posting history that goes many years before I ever joined, he has always been in these types of threads promoting the same tangent. So it's impossible he is Babe to his personal doctrine. And I treated him accordingly so.
Indeed sister it’s between you and the lord thank you for being so mature in receiving that as it was intended and for taking no offense that’s appreciated .

so back to the discussion is spiritual death even a real biblical principle or an idea someone has added narrative?

“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: by which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭3:18-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Those spirits didn’t seem to be dead but in some form of prison bit they died long ago thoer bodies of flesh I mean. Thoer spirits weren’t dead but trapped jesus went and preached to them after his death it appears to be saying so is “ spiritual death “ a thing ?

air is the first death of man physical , and the second death in revelation is about the spiritual death ?

“For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh,

but live according to God in the spirit.”

As Your Brother in Christ, I wish to go further about this post of yours into the spiritual realm itself.

Most of my home calls for demon possession have been helping those who claim to be saved by God and have never been set free. So unless I can discern them, I take the words from those who paint God into such a view of distortion relating to His literal Spoken and Written Word with a grain of salt.

The majority of self proclaimed Christians do not attend Church nor give to God even though God supplies everyone of their needs. On forums like this, I perceive I am conversing with several of those types. So I am quite aware of the spirits that lead them.

Yeah I’m just one of those disciples of Jesus still needing to walk along in his judgements I honestly have no knowledge of more than that .

aim not disparaging what your saying but know that God has callings for us all individually . I’m still just one of those trying to learn and hoping in the lord

I’d love to hear your take on spiritual death and physical death certainly and im glad I now understand your my brother in Christ .

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:14-16‬ ‭

Notice our spirit is still there but the holt ghost comes to be with us and lead our spirit , this is referring back to the subject of spiritual death

Before I answer you I wish to share something else with you.

Satan and his demonic army knows the Bible word for word more so than almost every person who claims to follow God. They could recite it word for word from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22. Most demon possessed people claiming to be Christian also are very good at proclaiming verses that they use and do not present contradiction to their spiritual reality. In some cases when we cast out demons, it was the person who kept debating us with their own personal doctrine. The demon left because the Spirit of the Most High God opposed them while the possessed human used verses that only represented personal truth opposing Godly truth. We live in a day where knowledge of all things are right at the end of our finger tips. And honestly, I tell spouses who call me to help their significant others. Don't be shocked if they become possessed again and with even more entities. We do not only have false christs, antichrists, but false Christians.

Ok, to your post now.

Physical death is when you take your last breath and your physical body perishes.
Spiritual Death is the condition of a rebellious attitude against God. So it will suffer in many ways. But what specifically are you thinking in terms of Spiritual Death?

Your verse has nothing to do with "hearing."

Because Hearing leads to...
44 While Peter was still saying these things, the Holy Spirit fell on all who heard the word.

So they will be awakened as they HEAR.
A spiritually dead person can hear the Gospel but he cant hear it with Spiritual discernment and understanding 2 Cor 2:14

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

A preacher like Peter is doing preaching is merely sharing the Gospel. It's the hearing the Gospel that Paul writes causes Faith so people hearing can believe in what is preached. Whether you like it or not, that's hard core Biblical Truth. Hearing the Gospel brings Faith to believe. But you cannot hear until someone preaches.

the only ones that can hear and believe are God's sheep who are already born again (John 10:26-29)

37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.

...will come to me/whoever comes to me.

How do people come to Christ without literally doing what the word "coming to" actually means?

That's participation on the persons part to come.

Only those who are already saved eternally, will come and that is his sheep (John 10:26-29)

I am not sure if I am IMPRESSED by such a display of ignorance by this post and those who agree with it or not??

Let's consider what you just said here.

Stephen preached the same MESSAGE.
Those who KILLED Stephen Heard that message.
54 Now when they heard these things they were enraged

So they HEARD and killed Stephen.

By YOUR POST, you are saying those who HEARD the Gospel Message and KILLED Stephen are God's Sheep.

Ignorance at it's very finest!

No one is saved until they first Believe.

Show me where they are believing first before they come?
Sis, you still don’t understand Romans 8:28-29? God has already saved those He chose before the foundation of the world.
For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

Peter answers who actually was the one that was foreknew before the foundation of the Earth.

19 but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.
20 He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you
21 who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

Jesus is what Paul and Peter are talking about.

Yep amen and then those “in him” are included as the children of the covenant

“And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

…For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:8-9, 16, 26-27, 29‬ ‭

cjriet os the elect of God the seed of inheritance because no one or no people were ever worthy now we are baptized in his name who is who oeter is talking about but Paul is talking to those who are in Christ
