You aren’t talking about receiving the holy spirit living in a believer when you say “ Christ lives in you “ ? Is it his physical body living in us or ?
He is the head the church is his body, When you are joined spiritually you become one with him, thats why Jesus said you must be born again

Oh yeah I think I heard this somewhere before

“Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: for by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: and he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; and, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: if ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:15-23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

He is the head the church is his body, When you are joined spiritually you become one with him, thats why Jesus said you must be born again
He did yeah when he was preaching the gospel

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:3, 5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing:

the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:63‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:10-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭10:42‬ ‭

That’s why I quoted this to begin with

Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall be given into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:36-38, 46‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we aren’t going to be judged by any word but his words ordained as judge of all is my point not Moses words not ten rocks and not the angel places over them under the law but only Jesus and his words of life

That’s all I’m saying if this tells you that I’m hung up on sin i can’t help that

Yeah that’s why I talked about baptism in his name for remission of sins and receiving his spirit

“Body of Christ “

“For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

Well before you edited it i got "Received the holt spirit of Jesus Ch fort ?"

Lots of people say they receive a spirit but don't say what one and it is often not the right one, I asked specifically if Jesus is alive in you, its a very simple question you won't answer, but if you don't have Jesus you are not a born again child of God, and if you did you would love to answer about the hope that is in you

I think it’s possible you didn’t understand what I said a Christian shoulnt be looking down on people because they think they are sinners eas my point we’ve all been sinners before and some still are not other Christian’s judging and condemning them and telling them they don’t belong is not the gospel not what the lord did that was my point

sinners need this a person who thinks they are righteous doesn’t hear it

“For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: but if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus can tell a sinner thier wrong and they can repent he can tell a righteous person rhier wrong and they’ll call him a heretic

a Jesus can only save sinners because all of us were in the same boat we can’t see sinners come to Christ and judge them away . Until there’s no one left to preach to we should be telling sinners about Jesus who died for thier sins and when that’s what they know we shouldn’t then demand perfection

airs not our place they have a savior and lord that’s dealing with them . If we have to point out others sins there’s a very well written doctrine for it to be done within a church setting

u timately Christian’s aren’t a bunch of little judges of each other we’re supposed to love the sinners like Jesus did us and does them too

i don’t even really use the term towards individual people “sinners” basically is saying they are flawed humans who need to come near to Jesus as long as we aren’t pushing them away he can save them too like us

aid there were no sinners there would be no need to preach the gospel “righteous” folk don’t like it

I only presume someone is a sinner if they tell me they are or are posting about being a sinner, then I show them the solution, reconciliation through the cross of Christ, people show what is in their heart with their words, that's why I am surprised you refuse to answer simple questions, I just go on what people tell me, if they say they are sinners ill tell them how to deal with their sin becuase God provided a solution, from the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks, you gotta open up a little and stop hiding behind walls of scripture

Just checking you are not meaning baptism by water right?
the baptism Jesus partook of and spirit he received yes

“There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:4-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus baptism

“And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him: and there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:10-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The church after jesus went to heaven and shed forth his spirit to believers (seeacts 2:33)

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, ( water)

and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. ( spirit )

For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:38-39‬ ‭KJV‬‬

were they still baptizing in water?

“Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭8:35-38‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Acts ten also shows they were still baptizing in water for remission of sins in Jesus name.

Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, ( water) which have received the Holy Ghost ( spirit )as well as we? And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭10:47-48‬ ‭KJV‬‬

before jesus rose his spirit wasn’t given to people after he died baptism becomes just like his we repent and get baptized for remission of sins in his name who had no sin but does for ours . When we get baptized in his name how Laotian is applied to us that’s why it says we become his children ( we’re baptized in his sons name and he sees us as his beloved son in whom he’s well pleased like he said to Jesus

“For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:26-27, 29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Water and spirit is one baptism it’s how Jesus was baptized Gods son thisnis part of the doctrine of his children to be baptized into death in his name for remission so we can be made into Gods children

Oh dear, you used water in the context of washing away your sin, So do you think water is your savior, did water die on the cross for you

The thief on the cross couldn't get down and be baptized and you can be soaked in water and still go to hell. The water isn't the saviour

Maybe we could start here , like we are at sunday school,

Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

How many baptisms in that verse? and how many Lords?

So you did put remission of sins on water baptism, John explains it like this

I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire

So Jesus will baptize with the holy Ghost, So Water is for repentance and there is one a baptism John points to comes from Jesus ,So in the verse one baptism, so in the verse you agreed with What Baptism is the one that would be most important, Spirit or water
