One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

“Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus ( one lord ) also being baptized, ( one baptism ) and praying, the heaven was opened, and the Holy Ghost ( one spirit ) descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him,

and a voice came from heaven, ( one God and father of all ) which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭3:21-22‬ ‭KJV‬‬
One Lord and a criteria is confessing that Jesus is Lord

1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

One Baptism = Spiritual, By one Spirit baptized into one Body. That is why Jesus said you must be born again, Spiritual Birth being joined one with God when you become his son, A new creation in Christ through receiving the spirit of his son, God becomes our Father

Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

We’re wasting one another’s time

“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Born of is the context, Nicodemus understood born again as how can he go back into his mother's womb, You have to be born of water by your mother to become human or you wouldn't be alive, you have to be birthed by the Spirit to become a child of God or you cant go to heaven, if you don't have both you are dying or dead, you need both those births to qualify for heaven

So you did put remission of sins on water baptism, John explains it like this

I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire

So Jesus will baptize with the holy Ghost, So Water is for repentance and there is one a baptism John points to comes from Jesus ,So in the verse one baptism, so in the verse you agreed with What Baptism is the one that would be most important, Spirit or water
“So Jesus will baptize with the holy Ghost, “

“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭3:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

a few days later jesus fulfills the promise of the spirit made by John the Baptist

“…And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.( this was the fire John promised and spirit Jesus would baptize with )

…But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, And your young men shall see visions, And your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before that great and notable Day of the Lord come:

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

…This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. ( he will baptize you with the holy ghost Jesus from heaven )

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, ( water in his name for remission what we do )

and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. ( spirit by Jesus from heaven ) For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:2-4, 14, 16-18, 20-21, 32-33, 37-

Water is for remission of sins when we believe Jesus died for them. We get baptized on his name because he had none and lives still were raised up with him from the gravr through the faith of baptism believing the doctrine paul teaches of it

I see lol the church had baptism wrong then ?

“Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭8:35-38‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Philip just used the wrong baptism then ?( You receive the Holy Ghost when you hear about Jesus death and resurrection and believe the man was reading isaiah 53 talking to a disciple of Jesus and he believed )

These man of the church had it wrong though ?And you’re explaining the right one now to me ?

Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭10:47-48‬ ‭KJV‬‬

airs hard for me to discuss with someone in a Bible forum that onow better than the early apostles and disciples like these two people in the Bible are you telling me Peter commanded the wrong baptism ? And Philip practiced the wrong baptism because they entered water ???

In looking forward to the response

Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins. Jesus is the name above every name. The ones from the grave were wondering around until he ascended back to heaven, It is the blood of Jesus that cleanses from all sin, and our faith is in Jesus

Notice in your verse the criteria Phillip put on the eunuch? If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest.

Same as Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

He said if he believes he may, the criteria is that you believe in all the verses, then I would encourage people to out of obedience but tough luck for the thief on the cross according to you, he didn't have the chance, Also notice Paul said that Jesus didn't send him to baptize have you wondered why and whether something had changed?

Thanks for all your support the last day hopefully I've helped you in response.

I noticed in the verse of Acts‬ ‭10 it says "they had already received the Holy Ghost", so why shouldn't they be baptized, they already had the Holy Spirit

It's hard to discuss the bible with someone who hides from the most simple questions, but you keep coming back and I'm happy to keep talking to you, hopefully, soon you will not encourage getting me banned and stop probing and actually answer questions, wouldn't that be a discussion

Sure without believing Jesus died ( she’d his blood his life ) for our sins who would ever get baptized in his name ?

That’s the reason we do it we believe the gospel it’s an act of faith God sent John and Jesus fuflilled johns promise from heaven try e chrich os still commanded by Jesus to baptize everyone in his name , he doesn’t say to tell them I died and I’ll baptize them

He said

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is every man’s doctrine and the name is Jesus. But notice he didn’t say you preach and I’ll baptize he said go teach them what I taught you and baptize them in my name

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭

will jesus save people who aren’t baptized for some reason absolutely I’m sure he will he can do whatever he chooses and belief saves us

theres no reason to not accept what’s there though and tell others it’s not true or anything we should gladly receive the promise of baptism and choose to be baptized for remission of all our sins in his name and tell others about that

and not worry about if anyone isn’t baptized Will he save us he is the savior of we fall short in some way he is not going to throw us away it’s not a regulation nothing in the nt is it’s a Godt from God to our conscience testifying th at the doctrines taught apply to us who were baptized because we believe he died for our sins ( she’d his blood )

“Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:3-4‬ ‭

“For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:26-27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

there’s no reason for us to argue about what the Bible says in this forum with the technology today we can just look and see what it says but then we argue about it because we were trying to compete rather than helping to edify one another and all change towards one understanding thats really there

If we just bicker and scripture fight no one ever acknowledges what the bible says 😂😂😂 it’s just showing our own foolishness

Do you think it’s wise at any point for two people to just not argue and move along in peace ? Not holding a grudge or anything like this , but just seems wise when it becomes foolishness like we’re doing you know what I mean jellybean ? Two knotheads aren’t gonna convince each other I reckon if they don’t agree .

But I am showing you what the bible says, even taking you into the verses showing what they mean, I was just trying to discuss, but it is hard if you won't answer if you know you are a sinner or not, even when you posted the verse to me saying if you say you have sin you are a liar....lol, or whether you had ever received Jesus and then try put washing away sins on water, what should we talk about? the weather? I'm enjoying if you are not you can stop but you keep replying to me so I'll keep answering you, I think you are liking it more than you let on

If we go strictly by the Bible alone, all humans born (aborted) (stillborn become life at some point) and will ever live come from the lineage of Adam.
But all humans who end up serving God come from and through Jesus.

Paul even shows us this in Ephesians chapter 1 where he is talking about BELIEVERS.
It begins with in verse 3.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places

We see the Father has blessed us in Christ

4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him.

We see the Father has chosen the Believers to be IN CHRIST (Which this decision was made before the foundation of the world)

5 he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,

We see the Father has predestined Believers for adoption as sons THROUGH JESUS CHRIST

So we read BEFORE the Foundation of the WORLD, the FATHER, by way of, in, and through JESUS CHRIST, blessed + chose to be in Jesus + predestined to be sons through Jesus the future BELIEVERS of God.

The Father set it up that Jesus would do these things for Believers before the foundation of the world.

So as every human ever born (aborted) (stillborn become life at some point) will be a blood lineage of Adam, every Believer in God will be a Spiritual heir through Jesus.
And this was all established by the Father before the foundation of the world.
So why did God need to increase the birth rate?

With water people do it all the time, they admit they got baptized to join the church or to try and impress their friends or family and admit they never actually believed in Jesus, I have heard it a lot, at the end of the day water is water, you will die if you don't drink it

Actually, he does but we will get to that at the end, first, we need to separate what man does and what Jesus does, and man can say some words and get you wet but baptism with the Holy Ghost is only done by Jesus.

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭
Ok. the message is teaching them to observe all the things Jesus commands, so do that, I agree

So again you need to separate baptism by water for repentance as a act that you can do, with Baptism of the Holy Ghost that only Jesus can do, there are many examples of the two happening at different times in scripture, if you want to go through that we can

But notice Mark 16, "but he that believeth not shall be damned." what is missing there? Baptism, It it is unbelief that stops someone from being saved, Nothing to do with water

baptize everyone in his name , he doesn’t say to tell them I died and I’ll baptize them
But notice he didn’t say you preach and I’ll baptize he said go teach them what I taught you and baptize them in my name
John 1:33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

See who is it John says Jesus will Baptize with the Holy Ghost? No mistaking that right?

John 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.

So when Jesus is glorified, The ones that believe on Jesus will receive the Holy Ghost that comes from Jesus, Should be no problems there?

Acts 1:4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

So different baptisms there, Water and Holy Ghost not many days hence, See what happens at Pentecost as an example

John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

Who does the sending?

John 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Who comes?

So to finish, And to show Christians receive Jesus

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

So who is in the People who are in the faith?

I look forward to your answers!

At which point in history?

If this is about after the Flood of Noah where you just went from possibly billions of people when the average person lived 857 years having children after children down to 8 people. It makes sense the birth rate would increase.

If we're talking about in the past 100 years, the Catholic Church promotes to many 3rd world nations God's Plan is to be fruitful and multiply and this has clearly taken place.

Even the Muslims refer to Adam and Eve exit of the Garden to be fruitful and multiply and they probably are the biggest majority of people on earth or close to it.

Here in America however, households are controlled by income. So many families have 1 possibly 2 children to complete boy/girl idealism.

But when in history are you talking about?

That's nice to say, But I haven't seen it, You started the conversation implying you are a sinner, So my advice would be to point you to the cross as the solution for your sin.
What does Gal. 2:16-18, especially 17-18, mean, ThewindBlows?

16. Knowing that a man is not justified by works of the lw, but by the faithfulness of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faithfulness of Christ, and not by wrks of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
17. But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves are also found to be sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.
18. For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself and transgressor."

Cameron said the conception of women was increased in Gen 3.

The reason he suggested is "to introduce the election". When I asked what that means, he said -

Cameron143 said:
Really? I'm not coining a new phrase. Surely you know what an introduction is and the term elect engenders.
There was no need to preserve a chosen people for Christ until after sin. Had Adam been successful, all humanity would have inherited life through him. Instead, all died in Adam. Hence, the need for a second Adam.
God chose Adam as a representative for all mankind...in him. God also chose those in Christ...in Him. All the choosing was before the foundation of the world.

I still don't understand why electing people for whatever purpose in Gen 3 required an increase in the birth rate.

I am moved with the amount of confusion these days about the nature of our salvation. The answer to this question can be different depending on the denomination you attend, but I believe the Bible is clear if interpreted correctly. Salvation is a free gift, that is received through repentance and faith, and it was completely paid for by what Jesus Christ did for us on the cross. All we are required to do is accept it by faith.
We are saved by faith.

But charity, love in action, is greater than faith, and faith works by love.

So no love then no faith.

Which Paul said he could have all faith as to remove mountains, but if he did not have charity then he is nothing.

And if any person preaches godliness is gain from such withdraw yourselves having food and clothing be content.

Which the love of money is the root of all evil for it neglects the poor and needy, and love is the fulfilling of the law.

Which is a person goes by their wants with their money they have erred from the faith.

James said if they do not have charity, love in action, works, then their faith is dead.

Which a person is justified by works, and not faith alone, for love is greater than faith.

So Paul and James say the same thing.

We are not saved by works, but by faith when we first confess Christ for that is all we can do.

But when we receive the Spirit then we have to have works of love for our faith to be valid for salvation.

John said without charity then the love of God does not dwell in you.

So do not love in word, neither in tongue, but in deeds, works, and in truth.

Which love is only valid if it is done in works.

The Bible says charity does not think an evil thought, and does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth to allow the Spirit to lead you to be Christlike.

Which a Spirit led person will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh so there is no excuse.

Which the Bible says the Lord knows them that are His having this seal that those that name the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

And if a person does not continue in the goodness of God they will be cut off.

And so not depart from the living God by the deceitfulness of sins.

Which some have a form of godliness, but deny the power thereof, ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth, and are lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.

The Bible says if any person thinks they stand take heed lest the fall.

Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling which we have a responsibility in our salvation for the Sprit will not lead us unless we allow it.

But many people do not allow the Spirit to lead them for they want to enjoy sin, and then say all they need is faith but that is not love so no faith.

We had to believe in God, repent of our sins, confess Christ, have love, have faith, study the word of God, keep ourselves unspotted from the world.

So our salvation is a free gift but we had to put in the effort to receive that free gift.

It seems some people say free gift to take responsibility away from themselves.

God calls things that have not happened yet, as though they already happened, for if it is a plan of God to happen in the future it is the same as if it happened in the past.

The Lamb was slain, the blood of the prophets slain, the kingdom prepared, all works were finished from the foundation of the world although they were future events.

Predestination of the saints means that God already had the plan of salvation to give to mankind before He laid down the foundation of the world, so it is the same as if they have salvation in the beginning.

And this salvation is to whoever wants this salvation.

God said He wants all people to be saved, and come to the knowledge of the truth.

He is not willing that any perish that any perish, but that all come to repentance.

The Spirit and bride say Come, and anybody can have salvation.

What game are they playing but to say faith alone, and they cannot fall, so they can enjoy sin and believe they are alright.

We are saved by grace, not faith.
