The truth bumps sure were surfacing while reading this book. It will not disappoint, it's chock full of powerful insight. Every church as well as individuals should have this one in their library.

In this book, Justin Teal leverages his personal background as a submariner to construct a framework for the concept of spiritual submission. In this context, he underscores the importance of teamwork, respect, and trust in authority as critical factors for the successful execution of the mission. The
submarine, unlike other vessels, fulfills its mission by operating in the unseen, "beneath the waters." This distinctive characteristic becomes a powerful
analogy for illustrating the spiritual dynamics that occur between the "XO," (the pastor) and the crew (the church). Teal reminds us that the cornerstone of effective leadership, and for that matter effective followership is bound within the concept of submission.

Sub-Mission serves as a succinct yet valuable introduction to the topic of spiritual leadership. Its straightforward but persuasive principles will aid those who are pursuing any sort of ministry among God's people. This book reminds us that no matter what our position in God's kingdom, there is no room for pride, as we are called to display a Christ-like submission to our Lord, our pastors, our ministry leaders, and one another. Within the Church, no role
is insignificant: all saints are called to be servants of the Lord, and at the heart of this sacred service resides the essential quality of being "submitted."

The book just arrived, read same in one sitting.
In a word, OUTSTANDING!!

(excerpt from forward)

"This book is not for the faint of heart.
It enlists the reader to engage in the eternal conflict
of conquering the self-damning , devious element of
pride in your personal life".
"Everything within our fallen human nature recoils at the very
thought of submission.
Satan realizes this and attempts to capitalize on this.
This has been the case since pride set up the original sin in the garden
of Eden".

When the relationship between pastor, elders/deacons and congregation is dynamic, then one has a powerful implement for advancing the gospel.
But
A submarine command team go through an exhaustive training process, this is not replicated in church ministry.

Submariners really highly trained, disciplined professionals.
Church members rarely are and church leadership with no or little outside oversight can be equally ill prepared for their role.

Worth Repeating and something I agree with what is said here -----

A submarine command team go through an exhaustive training process, this is not replicated in church ministry.

Submariners really highly trained, disciplined professionals.
Church members rarely are and church leadership with no or little outside oversight can be equally ill prepared for their role.
---

Not to mention that most ==Ministers today ---church Elders --Deacons ---and all the others running the Churches today many have not the indwelling of the Holy Spirit who is the only one that should be directing and influencing all who hold positions in the Church ---

Knowing which Church Ministers and all who are leaders in the Church who have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and who hasn't is a priority before any successful submission can happen ---and you need discernment of the Spirits which is one of the 9 gifts given by the Holy Spirit to some people not all people ---so who in the Church has this gift ?????????????

Haven't read the Book ----Does he include Satan in the Book --that is the Question ??????????????

Here is what I do know Satan is real and is a big influencer in many Churches today ---knowing your enemy and how he works and keeping him out of the Church Building is crucial in being successful in the Church --(PEOPLE ) Submission -----

Many are preaching a different Gospel and their Submission is of the Enemy not God ----Pride still rules today there is strife and conflict going on within many Churches today --as there is void of the Holy Spirit in many members in the leadership roles ----

You have to Submit to God Continually not just one time ----and Resist Satan Continually -not just one time ---who is your Pride ----and who has access still to all people ----including True Christians ----

Notice ---this word ---Resist ---

James 4:7

Greek word for resist

436 anthístēmi – properly, take a complete stand against, i.e. a "180 degree, contrary position"; (figuratively) to establish one's position publicly by conspicuously "holding one's ground," i.e. refusing to be moved ("pushed back").
