Yep looks like Biden listened to Trumps meeting with Orban and decided to take credit for the idea of financing arms to Ukraine instead of just giving them to them...Sneaky way of taking credit for Trumps idea,,,lol
Took me a while to find it(back around page 4000) but if you listen Trump is explaining the arms to Ukraine but it being a loan and not a gift... Biden stole the idea and is gonna take credit for it or else did it in a way Trump could not argue with him about because of things he said...

This is just SCOTUS doing their job. As Antonin Scalia would say "garbage-in, garbage out". It's not their job to re-write legislation correctly for congress or state legislatures.
Do you think the recent conviction in SCOTUS for Trump has helped his presidential campaign or ruined it?

Bump stocks aren't machine guns?? LOL Okay, if you think that I've got a bridge I'd like to sell you.

"“Nothing changes when a semiautomatic rifle is equipped with a bump stock,” Thomas wrote. “Between every shot, the shooter must release pressure from the trigger and allow it to reset before reengaging the trigger for another shot.”

Thomas is either senile and clueless or is deliberately misrepresenting the facts. Either way he has no business being on the highest court in the land. The shooter does not release the pressure from the trigger between every shot.

I'm not arguing gun control one way or the other; I'm just debunking the ridiculous notion by the SC that bump stocks don't essentially convert semi-automatics to automatics.

If you're talking about his 'falsifying business records' conviction in NY; it's probably inconsequential to actual support for Trump.

I do not know anything about semi automatic weapons, so I googled "how they work" and this is the answer I got:

Semi-automatic weapons use gas, blow-forward, blowback or recoil energy to eject the spent cartridge after the round has moved down the barrel, chambering a new cartridge from its magazine, and resetting the action. This enables another round to be fired once the trigger is depressed again.

In my opinion, I'll trust this explanation over residentalien who continues to lose credibility.

The way I understand Justice Thomas is that putting a bump stock on a semi automatic does not convert it to a fully automatic which only requires you to pull the trigger and multiple rounds will be fired.

What a bump stock does do is use the force of the recoil to aid the shooter in releasing and then depressing the trigger. It speeds up the process but does not change the mechanism. So arguing that it converts semi automatic to an automatic does not work with the standard definition of the two.

Shadow of Ezra

After meeting with Zelensky, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, abruptly refused to participate in the G7 summit, which began today in Italy, citing "religious reasons." Instead, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, has committed to attending this year's BRICS summit in Russia, hosted by Vladimir Putin. This is all unfolding as Saudi Arabia's 50-year-old petrodollar agreement with the United States has expired, with no new agreement in place.

I see you missed it as did the three left leaning judges.

Since it seems the actual constitution of this once great country is either ignorantly by some and purposefully by others, ignored or offered to judges to judicially , rather than by
''An amendment may be proposed by a two-thirds vote of both Houses of Congress, or, if two-thirds of the States request one, by a convention called for that purpose. The amendment must then be ratified by three-fourths of the State legislatures, or three-fourths of conventions called in each State for ratification. " source

As ruled by the other judges, there would need to be an amendment to include the disagreeable item as something other than what the current moniker it is know by.

Judges, DO NOT CHANGE OR READDRESS THE CONSTITUTION

Sheesh. I'm not even American but I know that full well.

It's all good.

this week-end Hollywood will pull itself together and throw money at the object of their misrepresentation in order to satisfy their desire to continue in the putrid waters of self-deception and globalization

Yep not even the POTUS as in this case but they try to later have it overturned... https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/department-justice-announces-bump-stock-type-devices-final-rule In the same many argue that the immigration laws(and others) can be over ruled by the wiggeling of the Presidents pen but in the same it must be ratified by congress or else they end up the same way...

I suppose it's a response to Trumps meeting with the 80 CEO's in the news about him not making any sense to some of the CEO's... both sides will probably go on and on about the others cognitive state for another week or so until something else comes up...

I think we can trust the reaction of the rest of the G7's response to Mr B rather than those who are duplicitous to the extent you wonder if it will be the next sport inducted into the summe Olympics. Since they will be held in LA this summer, one must admire the preparation and dedication of those with the foresight to take advantage of the occasion and the realization that the eyes of the world will be upon their dereliction to truth dedicated to inducing a coma like state in the populace in order to avoid the obvious decline of a never great statesman, who has been transplanted from a never won to a 'hail Caesar' gathering in the great white edifice in Washington.

All that silliness to say the Dems always say what they are going to do by saying Trump will do or has already done whatever it is they pretend to be so worried about. Such as never leaving the WH.

The devil must boast.

In the old days it used to be that the two parties boasted that their candidate was clean cut,no adulterer,,not in debt, extremely sharp, not a criminal ect. then the other side would go on and on as to their candidate actually even being better,,,,,Then we fast forward to 2024 and they argue that theirs has only lost two of their marbles and the other has lost all of theirs. Nobody even brings up just how many marbles they are suppose to even have in the first place so how do they even know if they've lost any of them? I think 47 since it's the 47'th POTUS and that they should still have all 47...

sometimes marbles chip as well

it's always about getting people who vote to believe the best about your candidate

sometimes you have to give out beer, free tuition, free citizenship, free money and so on

sometimes you have to promise to undo all the harm your predessor is doing/has done

I guess so but I live in Texas and so stopped voting years ago when they began passing laws making you vote party line. In the county where I now live the ballet doesn't say R or D out beside the candidates name anymore(and they wont tell you) so you could accidentally vote for an opposing party and we don't have secret ballet which means people can see who you voted for.
