That's funny.
He has already said he is the only one who can keep Israel safe.

I was under the impression God says he is the only one who can keep Israel safe.
Trump was the only president that kept his word to Israel. I believe that means something to God and I believe it's the reason they have thrown everything at him but still haven't stopped him.

Well maybe I know him better than you do? ;):giggle:
Quite likely.

I can't even really explain how I feel about things
I had an intense prayer session about a year ago that kind of follows on what you said just above. The kind of session that over time has been very rare. I wish I could explain it in all of its intensity, but I can't in a forum. Let's just say that the basic outcome was a view of how bad things are globally. But not just what we see, rather everything underlying, every system, everything. It's all ______!

I'm also finding myself staring out the window in contemplation of how much of what goes on in these "Christian" discussions are part and parcel with what I just said above.

Things are really a mess...

Trump is speaking within a political context, meaning he doesn't think he is Israel's Savior. He means between him and Biden, he is the one who will help Israel.
When one looks for the worst, they generally find it.

JW. Is this a nod toward Trump's conviction(s), handed down to him from the many faces of rulers?

To those that consider the possibility that the degree of impact may differ from person to person. That is, some sins are greater than others. We have two options. One is a cad, and the other is a creep. Solomon was a cad... but it seems that some would rather prevent him from ruling to keep Herod in power.

In one of the articles I gave in the last few pages(Rolling Stones I think) it gave the details of Dunn,Wilks agreements with Trump. P. White is vocal about 7 mountain D. teachings but as for Trump I'm not sure if he agrees with it or just after Christian support in general.
I've only done cursory research on the topic; but to me the 7 mountain thing doesn't look like a theocracy push; they definitely want to influence culture/government etc. But that's not inherently nefarious- We all want to, or should want to, have a positive impact on our surroundings.

I haven't really seen anywhere that he (Dunn) is trying to use the power of government to enforce religion on people. The school vouchers stuff doesn't sound bad in theory. Education reform is another thing that has been a long time coming; though I admit it needs to be done with caution .

Me too.

Understood.

During his first campaign when at some church somewhere he said something to the effect, If Christians could just be united, then they would control everything. I've never been able to find a copy of that brief interview.

He's not wrong in his conclusion, but he is quite far off in his conditional statement. With however many tens of thousands of denominations there are, that condition seems quite a ways off to say the least.

I'm sure they've done some homework about numbers, but it would be interesting to see what the numbers are that would have nothing to do with that faction he at least was involved with.
an ecumenical wish? the thought of 'Christians' controlling everything does not seem like heaven on earth to me

America is not a theocracy and all power belongs to Christ, not a bunch of people thinking they have the 'right' to something

I'm not meaning all of that to you personally...just responding to the words here...I'm not familiar with that statement from Trump

I understand. Things are being put into place for a final outcome it would seem

I understand about the discussions also. there is no human that can follow all of what is going on.

do you have a source for that quote? you state it as an impression....but if only your impression, then that makes a difference

but no I do not believe a human can keep Israel safe....but I would like the source for Trump having said that, if he did

I heard it as a practical statement from someone who viewed Christians as a very large constituency. It really didn't seem to be any more than that.

No hint of anything ecumenical nor theocratic. Just numbers.

Where do you see what Carter, Reagan,Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama things they did in Scripture?! What are talking about?! America, if mentioned at all in Scripture, is very brief.
I didn't say I saw anything Carter did in scripture.Where did you get Carter from?

Are you wanting me to quotes scripture where God says he will cause Israel's enemies to conquer them or flee from them?

Or are you wanting me to quote Trump claiming he is the only one who keep keep Israel safe?

Or both?

Trump didn't say between him and Biden. He said no one else can keep Israel safe, and he knows ALL THE PLAYERS.

No one else will, and no one else can.

He does, and he knows no one else will support Israel. So if he doesn't get elected, Israel will be without any allies. This is what he was referring to.

ok

I was referring to Christians getting together...sorry I could have worded that better...I meant there would be alot of compromise in such an agreement

my personal thought, is that Trump is not a Christian as we understand a Christian

Perhaps he should watch his mouth then

It sure sounds like he believes he is more than he is.Reminds me of someone I've read about In scripture.
