I think the headline is inaccurate.

He admitted to the relationship when she was 17- and he admitted that back then.

The allegations that are coming NOW is that she was 12 when it started. It doesn't look like he or anyone else has confirmed that.

She had been seeking a $50,000 settlement since 2005.

Right. She was 12 when it started and Morris was 21. It wasn't just a one-time thing, a mistake, but was ongoing for four years. The elders at Morris' church at the time knew about it and he was forced to resigned for two years. He never made any attempts to make things right with the girl or her family; he actually had the nerve to blame the girl of having a "Jezebel spirit" and making it out like it was all her fault. He shouldn't have just resigned for two years, but should have been arrested.

Justin Peters has an excellent interview up. He talks to a guy that served under Morris at his Shady Grove church. It's a little long but has some great insights.

Robert Morris is a very slick conman. In his book The Blessed Life, he says people who don't give (tithe) open themselves up to Mammon. But the preachers who make people believe they must tithe are actually the ones influenced by Mammon! Those big megachurches, big homes, planes and cars don't just show up out of thin air. Truly incredible the things guys like him get away with.

More incredible is average Joe Christian defending him.

That is the real issue. Although this matter is none of our business, because it became widespread media news, it became everyone's business. None of us needs to comment on this mater, but this man was also a false teacher.

Something is seriously amiss with this story. Now a transcript of a phone call has been released to the media.

Apparently Cindy "forgot" that she asked Morris for 2 Million dollars over the phone; but "remembered" when she found out that Gateway released the transcript.... mmkay.

The media have also portrayed this as Morris attempting to "buy her silence"... but the actual quotes from the transcript have her being the one that approached him for money... he never says anything about wanting to buy her silence.

Moreover; they continue to say that he confessed/admitted to doing things to her while she was 12... which continues to be false; as far as I can tell, he has done no such thing.

I don't know about all this; I do know Morris molested the girl over a four-year period starting when she was 12.

Frankly I have a distaste for all the goings on that occurred with Trump's so called religious advisors. That, apart from the ongoing discussion.

There is no doubt that any dirt that can be scraped together and create the illusion that it is a direct reflection on Tump, is fair and to be expected. There is no doubt of Trump's moral failures but they appear to be connected to adult women and not minors.

So I guess everyone is happy now. Justice has been served. To different people in different places for different reasons.
My apologies, Idk why the program notification failed to alert me to your reply. Strangely, I also cannot see your 'something funny' images. In other circumstances, this usually doesn't really bother me, but in this case, I consider if to be unfortunate.

we'll never know the whole truth and nothing but the truth and some folks would not have it any other way. it would put a dent in all the speculation :cautious:

I'm sure the issue is at my end, and that does happen to happily coincide nicely with my opinion of that. :poop:

Ikr, with all the cloud storage these days? But now that I think about it, I've yet to actively employ the capability, consciously anyway, so this might be a reasonably legitimate solution for all I know. I remember I think it was HAH that inquired in having a similar issue and solution being offered but, the thought of having to go into the matrix provokes my anxiety and I've determined to be anxious for nothing. Although this laptop has proven to be exceptionally durable, it's about time for a new one anyway what with the abuse this one has suffered; a dog sized cat using it for his perch, and a 2 yo that chucks it to the floor the instant she decides that it is either no longer useful to her or that it's in her way. *I noticed a pink one on sale so, hopefully, I'll "see" you later!

ooooooo.....pink! I bought a Lenovo the last time (about 6 mths ago) having never had one before. Was on sale for 700.00 from 1000.00

So far, I'm quite happy with it and don' miss the HP at all. They offer really good support and don't make you stop everything you
are doing to update every 2nd week.

Prior to that, I bought a laptop online (amazon) from a Chinese company and the thing overheated and basically blew up internally. The companyr refused to replace it and said I should have it repaired. Thing is, the serial # could not be found and a few other kinky things were off. In fact, it was silver and the co that was supposed to have made it, said they didn't make that model in silver.

They may have been running a scam of some kind, but ultimately, Amazon made them return my money and then I bought the Lenovo.

I assume that the problem is that I haven't updated as regularly as I should (gots no time for dat!) and since you have a newer and improveder edition, my thingamareader doesn't understand its language.

The one I "puck up at Walmart" is just an HP (which I consider a step back because the first one had the same issue of overheating and regularly requiring a battery replacement). I was willing to offer only a couple of franklins since the only real use I have for it atm is ccchat. If just for the convenience of not having to move camp going from office to living room and back again, it'll suffice for a backup. I haven't set it up yet, however, but I once I do, I should be able to figure out the glitch this one is experiencing. More than likely, I'll end up having to do the leg work and search out troubleshoots.

It comes with a free year of office though, so I might fiddle around with that a bit to get a general idea of its capabilities, although I'm not expecting very much. But I've wanted to write a book or something as far back as my first pc purchase in '98 but my ADD only allows for the equivalent of pilots that other people pick up and make something of, but that goes with the territory putting ideas 'out there' in public chat on the www. I've arrived at the realization that is exactly my niche market, although it doesn't pay any sort of material returns. Lol, if you haven't noticed any good series or movies coming out for a while, it's probably because I haven't chatted in any other general forums for as long as I've been a member here at cc, so they have to do a lot of unimaginative remakes... :geek:

See, it seems like I'm making all of this up right now, doesn't it?

hardly. I am afraid the world as we knew it, has left the building. I had a really good friend in my early teens and an expression she had went like 'stop the world I wanna get off'. sounds about right

have you looked into typing 'copy'? it wasn't for me (side gig) but you seem pretty good at writing...maybe too boring tho

I used to write these funny little dog plays back in the day....was more for kids, but adults really got a kick out of them. I used to do composite photos using my own dogs or stuff from the net. That was on flickr before they went all serious and took the fun out of things.

Every once in a while I think about writing stories like that....now I could illustrate with AI...but I haven't really looked into it much

Sure could not tell you had ADD....I have a bit of (don't know what to call it actually) but all the labels in the cubboard have to face out and things have to be arranged 'just so'. Once in a while I try to just put something away and never mind the order of it but I literally have to go back and 'fix it'. Might have to do with childhood trauma. And other stuff. Something I can 'control' as opposed to being controlled. I think I took too much psych stuff in collage haha.

Well I hope you get yr pc stuff all tidied up. And stay away from stuff made in the Orient...although that is not easy these days
