I read the Bible some, but have yet to find the passage where God tells us what he did on that very first Shabbat.
I’ll keep looking, but like to think he slept-in a little. He gets up in time for a mid-morning tee time and His best ever round of golf. He has a leisurely lunch and spends the afternoon playing with His children whom He loves dearly. He follows with by a brief late afternoon nap. Later, I think He spends some time trying out new chords and rhythms on His banjo before settling into His favorite recliner with a good book. I like to imagine at some point He falls asleep in that chair, the book folded in His lap and His reading glasses still perched on the end of His nose.
Until finding his instructions, I guess He leaves it up to us how we honor Him with rest on His set apart Sabbath. In any case may you be Shalom.
