Hi body of Christ,

I hereby submit my prayer request for you to pray for my marriage. I am at a wits end with my husband. He lies, gambles and flirts with other women.
He is not apologetic about any of those things even when confronted & now we have a communication breakdown. He keeps to himself most times, always on his phone and I've honestly stopped trying to be intentional about fixing our marriage because I feel it is one sided. I do not believe in divorce so that's why I'm resorting to prayer. For God to fix what is broken. He is the one that brought us together for a devine purpose. He blessed us with the fruit of the womb, we have three kids together, surely it cannot be all for nothing. I pray that God may heal he's wounds and restore that which the devil has stolen. I pray for devine restoration and total turn around from sinful lust for money, lust for women and a deceitful tongue. I pray that God may renew my strength where I've grown weary and give me a forgiving heart. I pray that He may guide my actions and speech to speak life into this marriage and not death. I pray that He may search me and bring me into repentance for any wrongful deed that I may have committed that dishonoured my husband and dishonoured the covenant of marriage. He is a keeper of covenants and I pray for a full and complete restoration of the covenant that was made between my husband and I in the presence of our families. I come against every principality and every alter erected against this covenant in the mighty name of Jesus! I'd also appreciate some advice from you guys about my situation. Other than prayer, what should I do as a wife to help him?

So live your life in Jesus that he will be shamed by his behaviour and attitudes. The Bible says that you can win him without a word. You will need God's grace, of course. Humanly speaking, the marriage is over. Now God is the only one who can restore it.

It's commendable that you seek restoration instead of running away. I'm sure most of us here will agree with your prayer. Let's see what God can do!

My heart goes out to you.
May the Lord give you the peace that passes all understanding through Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4
6Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Lord please help this precious family as this dear wife pours out her heart to you along with the little ones.
Turn this curse into a blessing in the long run and in the short, please curse every sin that divides that it will bring no pleasure. Please bring a soul winner for the forgiveness necessary for your help in what must feel like a hopeless situation.
In Jesus Name, Amen

If you want any more presentations like this one in the link, feel free to ask. Maybe the Lord can use it to reach your husband or children. Someone cared enough to share it with me as a teenager. Then God changed my heart and started correcting my desires.

I’m sorry for the breakdown of your marriage that has occurred.

Is he willing to go to counseling, either on his own, together with you, or both?

Thank you. I asked him today if he was willing to go through marital counselling and he said yes. We shall definitely explore that and hopefully it helps us heal and communicate better.

I would highly recommend Mark Gungor. You can buy DVD's of his seminars or find him on youtube. He is highly entertaining which is a bonus. That's not to say counseling won't help. One of his seminars is "How to stay married without killing anyone". The title gives you an idea of his approach. He also gets very serious when he needs to. Look up "Laugh your way to a better marriage". You won't be sorry.
