Cheatle is making the argument that her investigation has only gone on for 9 days so she can't provide any answers to the committee about it.
It takes liars a lot of time to make a believable lie and the biggest issue is they have to know what you know. What facts have leaked out. What lies can they get away with.
But that is not the same with someone telling the truth. Comer asks if anyone from the Secret Service was up on the roof at any time during the rally you can easily answer that, if you have nothing to hide and there is no reason for an innocent person to hide that answer.
Comer asks how you came to the conclusion that Trump did not need more security at this rally you can easily bring out the emails that were flying back and forth or the minutes from the meeting where that decision was made. If you have nothing to hide. But if you are still trying to fabricate a lie, you are afraid to give away any information that could later blow apart your phony lie.
In my opinion Cheatle is a liar and she is afraid to say anything that might later be used to destroy whatever lie they finally fabricate for her. This is not incompetence. This is malfeasance.

Long a go.. I realised the news gave information and then summarised what it meant for me. No need to think for myself.

While there was initially some question about whether or not it’s a bullet or shrapnel that struck Trump's ear, Trump is said to have written in a social media post after the rally on July 13, “I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening.”

Not really anything to follow up on. Damage to the out ear tissue can result in significant bleeding the longer or wider the cut to the ear is. It would have been nice if they would have released pictures of his ear before anything was done to repair the wound. While the pictures taken after the patch was removed could simply be some really good cosmetic surgery that repair the damage to the outer ear of Trump.
Here is a ballistic test showing the potential damage such a round could have caused. Didn't like the fact the video was staged at such a close distance, I think it over amplifies the motion of the ear after impact. Good luck figuring it out,

23% of those who responded to poll said that the young man acted alone in trying to kill Trump. If they are right then we can all rest easy knowing that the threat of violence died with his death and even though we are getting closer to this election the Secret Service will be more focused on protecting the two candidates, more cautious, and since the Democrats were not behind the assassination attempt (if this theory is correct) their is no reason to think they would be behind a future attack.
