Hi Christian friends! I'm a believer of Christ. Blessings to all! Anyone here loves Baptist hymns? We're the same! 😊 I'm in love with the hymns. My favorites are Blessed Assurance, It is well with my soul, Victory in Jesus and more. I play piano at home. But I have the desire to be pianist at our local church. Our current pianist is bit old and needs someone younger to replace her. She said, her fingers hurts sometimes. I know how to read notes I only play when I have song sheets with me. I only had 2 sessions with my piano teacher, I remember she taught me notes placed in lines and spaces like CDEFGABC. So most of the time I write a letter each note before playing. I stopped practicing because I'm currently reviewing for board exam. I'm looking for music buddy here. Specifically a pianist! I'd love to learn from you. God bless!

Yes I like the older hymns. I bought a broadman hymnal a while back and just read the lyrics. Some of the language is archaic but the testimony of the writer can be a real blessing.
