I looked up my friends' website to catch up on them and found that they've recently lost their daughter to a three-year battle against cancer. The cancer won, but it wasn't from her surrendering to it. He wrote an article about Trump's red baseball cap, and why he wears it, and I think the conclusion has its application in this case.
I noted an excerpt from the article:
In ancient Jewish wisdom there is a serious moral discussion about which poor person should receive your charity...One needs money for food, while the other needs money for clothing. The conclusion of the discussion acknowledges that the spiritual need takes precedence. A person's dignity and identity is often more precious than a full belly. (Donald Trump's Baseball Cap, Thought Tools, RDL, Jun 26, 2024).
The context of the article explains that clothing meets a spiritual need and is summarized as explaining that men wear suits and ties to community events such as church rather than more comfortable attire in an awareness of the community, by an outward consideration of the community rather than an inward consideration of oneself.
So, having not even viewed the video and only going by the initial image and backstory provided, this is France expressing their regard for the Christian's dignity and identity.

It may just be that the attention span grows ever shorter. So much to look at. Nothing to focus on.
I thought this woman's perspective interesting and informative.
The display seems to be exerting an opinion of the world's power in influencing the transformation of Christianity rather than any sort of message that, given the benefit of charity in scholarly interpretation, Christianity is made up of such as these. There is a truth in that, yes, that even the apostles were "once as such as these," but it leaves out the new (spiritual) robes that Jesus offers each and every one of us.
Yes, probably one of their greatest attributes which is why they rarely waste such a generous and forgiving spirit on crass Americans, the Great Satan, or heathen of any race or nationality.
Genez had asked me within a discussion of the rapture why I chose this avatar (a lioness), but I chose to decline the courtesy of reply because of the underlying, and subsequent confirmation of, insinuation that I did so with nefarious reason. I started to type it out but eventually deleted the comment in midsentence, figuring that it would only be received with more ridicule.
But in friendlier company I would've been made more comfortable in divulging the reason that I chose it. It puts me in mind of the verse, "...and at his right hand stands the queen in the gold of Ophir." And it served well to remind me of my dignity, even in the face of ridicule.
