The democrats got too illegitimate and they pushed too far into doing evil and supporting evil. We don't want to partake in their damnation. It be better to let them go and make their own country and fall under the weight of their own sins and hubris while we make America great again.

Oh, so you're unable to live alongside people who have different views, or in a country where you don't get your way on everything.

That's too bad.

No, I think you're purposefully mischaracterizing what I said. National divorce theory isn't the most ideal plan, the most ideal plan would be to get Trump back in office and for the wicked to repent of course. In lieu of that however, then national divorce becomes preferable to continuing the grinding misrule of an illegitimate regime or the neccessity of a revolution.

I think I'm starting to understand the root cause of Christian nationalism and the strong interest so many Christians have taken in politics lately. I believe it all boils down to the belief that God's judgment will be coming down on the US very soon. This is the driving force. When a person believes this, and it is reinforced by their interpretation of scripture and strong emotion, nothing can change their mind; no amount of facts matter to them. Anyone who doesn't side with them is on Satan's side. The only thing that matters is reversing course as quickly as possible to avoid disaster. This is the unseen element that makes this movement so hard for a lot of people to understand. The sky may fall tomorrow, or it may not. Either way my hope is in Him.

You expect MAGA to agree with Dems on how to conduct elections?

They never have!
Why not, we never had this problem prior to 2020. It didn't matter what party you were in. If someone makes a reasonable request you don't attack and insult them as being racist, instead when possible you agree. Biden complained that the cost of doing audits nationwide would be tens of millions of dollars, even a hundred million. That was too much. Then he sent $160 billion to Ukraine no questions asked. That is the real heart of this problem. Insulting 50 million Americans while treating Zelensky like he is a prince.

Why? I'm perfectly fine living with people who have different views than me. Aren't you?
Oh good, so then you do agree with me that everyone in this country can and should come together on the proper way to run an election.

I'm really beginning to think Donald Trump doesn't care if he gets elected or not. With all the crazy things he's been saying, which don't seem to be helping him at all, I think he must simply not care. He knows he will probably lose and just wants to bask in whatever attention he can get for the last time. He should care though, because getting elected is probably the only thing that will keep him out of prison.

Your conclusion may well be right, which requires at least some level of critical thinking. I wonder why this same critical thinking isn't applied more widely.

It seems like you're saying it's either Trump is elected and the entire country becomes Christian, or we have to have a civil war and split into two.

Needless to say, I don't agree with that at all. Like I said, I have no problem living alongside people who are different than me. In fact, I prefer it over living in a monocultural society where everyone is the same.

I can't help but wonder why God's judgement would be coming down on the US now? Why didn't it happen when we were wiping out 90% of the Native Americans and enslaving Africans? Why didn't it happen during the era of segregation, Jim Crow, and lynchings?

Yep, and what changed? Trump became a leader in the Republican Party and started calling every election rigged. The elections didn't change, and we didn't suddenly start conducting them differently.

It was that the GOP adopted Trump's mantra of "if we don't win, the election was rigged".

It didn't matter what party you were in. If someone makes a reasonable request you don't attack and insult them as being racist, instead when possible you agree. Honestly, I'm kinda getting tired of repeating this.....lots and lots of audits in several states were done, some by Trump-picked entities.

If all the swing states that decided the election conducted audits and confirmed the results, why would we need a national one?

You misunderstand. Saying I'm fine with living alongside people who have different views doesn't mean we must therefore all agree on everything. It means we can disagree without being angry at or hating each other.

I've wondered the same thing myself many times. Near as I can tell, what's different now is the LGBTQ+ agenda. This seems to be the straw that broke the camel's back in many people's minds. What I've heard a lot of people say is that sodomy is what brought God's judgment on Sodom and Gomorrah, and it will be what brings judgment on the US.

But what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah isn't that simple. There are a lot of reasons given in God's word for why they were destroyed, ranging from pride, gluttony, laziness and no compassion for the poor (Ezekiel 16:49). Sexual immorality was certainly part of it, including rape; but it wasn't the only thing. All these things have been going on in the US for a long time so why hasn't God brought down judgment yet? I have no idea. All I know is that when people or nations have filled their cup of sins to the brim, then it's time; and only God knows when that time is.

Seems to me, the thing that has really sent people into a tizzy, is the fact that so much LGBTQ+ stuff is becoming accepted by the mainstream and children are now being influenced. That's not good, but I don't believe in being reactionary; I believing in looking for constructive solutions. And one of the most constructive I can think of is showing people compassion and teaching them the good news.

I don't think you are here to have honest discussion, you seem to be pushing a narrative more than discussing anything. You have an answer to everything and don't see eye to eye, try to understand, or even pretend that you feel where others are coming from.
I can't lie that this is pretty pathetic of me, but with the distrust I have for the Democrat death/sex Cult, I wouldn't be surprised if you were being paid to come push the bull you're pushing here on Christian Chat. You swallow too many lies and walk lockstep with ALL other brainwashed or employed by them (democrat cult), with no sense of reverence for what's true.

Can't remember if it was you or not, but if feels like you were saying someone wasn't being Christlike because they were name calling you, but you haven't shown anyone here 1 ounce of empathy or understanding at all, just an unwavering defense for "God Government", the god of the DNC cult. If you don't understand the problems we have for these wicked Satanist, then it's only because you refuse to see them. It's not hard to understand when you have no reverence for Truth and have scales on your eyes. Why not try to understand our problem with these things instead of excusing their wickedness and sowing division?

I want to do what Jesus told us to do and make disciples of all nations. That's the only way to TRUE peace and truth. I care what He wants, not anyone else.

Queer people have always been a part of humanity. And if we truly believe in freedom and liberty, then we have to allow LGBTQs the freedom to live as they see fit, as long as they're not breaking laws or violating anyone else's rights.

I don't like the KKK or other white supremacist groups, but they have the freedom to believe and live however they like, as long as they stay within the law.

That's the deal we make in the US. Freedom sometimes means people you don't like or agree with can do and live as they like,
