Read the passage I gave. Adam wasn't deceived. No different from people smoking. They believe it will lead to poor health and eventually death. They do it anyway.
Yes I guess he was suicidal lol because he believed the fruit was surely going to kill him the day he ate it haha maybe he was miserable from tbe womans constant complaining haha ? 😅

(sorry magenta just a joke of you see this )

Brother I didn’t say he got deceived or fooled I said he believed what Satan said even though he and also she knew the commandment and word of God about the fruit

at our making the argument with that verse he didn’t get deceived I’m saying he knew what God said about the fruit

“but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

so did she

“And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:2-3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

What I’m saying they haven’t eaten it yet havent transgressed now look what happens after Gods said clearly “ do not eat the fruit you Will surely die “

“And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:4-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the lie is that it won’t bring death ots a direct opposition to what God said about the fruit. What I’m saying brother is as soon as he said tbat her perception of the fruit changes this shows us that her belief about the fruit being deadly changed that’s what allowed them to eat it look what I’m saying now they heard Gods true word and satans lie about it which will they believe about the fruit ? That it’s death and no good to eat ? Like God said ? Or will they believe it’s good to eat it like Satan said ?

“And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Now to clarify my point about Adam also hearing the word eve heard it’s here

“And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

who was deceived has no relevance to my point brother I’m saying they both were aware of what God said ( truth ) and what Satan said after that ( lie ) whichever they believe is going to shape how they see the fruit at foret eve saw it as death even afraid to touch it

“of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.”

When she believed the lie she ate and the. Adam harkened into her voice says the scriptire there and also ate of the fruit she was the first false prophet really carrying the devils lie about Gods truth but Adam knew as well as eve both Gods word and then the serpents Adam heard it from eve

israel heard it from the false prophets , Christian’s here it from false teachers and prophets

There’s always truth and lies but who will we believe is always the question of faith and life and death

Adam was in a covenant relationship with God. The covenant was a works covenant. There was only one stipulation...don't eat. After Adam failed to live up to the term of the agreement, God brought the sanction that He promised...death.
After this, God unilaterally entered into a covenant of grace with Adam and Eve. He shed blood on their behalf and then covered them signifying the blood the Lord Jesus Christ would shed and His righteousness which He clothes His own in.
None of this changes the fact that Adam was not deceived. He did believe He would die and chose that over obedience.

What does that have to do with grace?
It has nothing to do with this grace

“For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old foreknown unto this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.”
‭‭Jude‬ ‭1:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Gods grace that comes from the gospel he sent to all creatures and saves though brother …..it has this connection

“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and Saviour Jesus Christ; who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.”
‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:11-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

As opposed to creating a grace that doesn’t agree with his word telling us “ you need to repent I’m warning you you’ll perish “

just like “ don’t eat the fruit I’m warning you you’ll die “

just like “ I set before you this law as a blessing or a curse a blessing if you will obey and a curse if you will not obey therefore choose life and live “

If we let what he actually says in the gospel be the truth the things he says he’ll do will happen

The gospel of grace is found here it’s the same for everyone

“And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. ( this is what saves us grace and truth ) No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:16-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We need to accept his word this is something he repeatedly said there’s this stuff

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

this stuff

“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭13:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Everything he said we need to believe really is in the gospel

all we have to do is accept the truth

“Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”
‭‭John‬ ‭18:37‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the word of life

“For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:22, 24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

just if we learn from God the truth and accept it the epistles all the sudden make perfect sense but when we try to pick and choose things from this epistle of that gospel we’re really avoiding a lot of what he said will save us and wants us to know and most importantly the promises he made about eternal
Life also in the gospel his words of promise and hope and faith and light and truth and life

It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:45‬ ‭KJV‬‬

You have to me misinterpreted scripture. It is saying Son will not ever do what is done all over again it is done at that cross once for us all to believe it or not. Son took away all the nasty nines and dirty dozen first as to reconcile us all first, as if we never had ever sinned, even though all know we have.
Col 1:21-23 yet read Chapter one and 2 please
It is time to be thankful to God Father and Son for this gift given to be new in love and mercy as is given to us first. thanks
Under Law the flesh and blood first born curse gets revealed to turn over to god and be new in the Law of Liberty, Hebrews 7:11-12 under new Law, the Law of Love to all. wow
I've not misread nor misunderstood the Hebrews letter. It is possible to lose your salvation such as when you denounce Christ after having been enlightened and saved as the Hebrew letter clearly indicates.

Ok brother he believed hed die for sure when he ate it so he committed suicide then knowingly ate poison fruit .

They believed this

“but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

and didn’t believe this lie it’s just there for fun and to have a scapegoat ….

“And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:4-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

your saying that’s not the reason they are the fruit ….they didn’t believe it was good for food and safe to eat and would make them wise like gods ? They didn’t believe that at all right they believed it was deadly

What Satan said didn’t change her belief and his from what God said ? From this

That belief led her to eat the fruit ? Ot wasn’t keeping her from it ? And then this didn’t affect her belief ?

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:4-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Instead they didn’t believe Satan they just decided we should eat the deadly fruit in a suicide pact ?

I don't think Adam did believe Satan. Otherwise, it could not be said that he was not deceived.
To be deceived means to believe the lie. Adam did not believe Satan's lie. However, he disobeyed
anyways. Some say it was out of his love for Eve, so she would not die alone, or some such, perhaps
a romantic notion, likened also to the sacrifice Christ makes with His life, I am sure @posthuman
can describe it better than I could... what many overlook is that Adam was of the natural world.
He had not eaten of the Tree of Life. Some say he would have had to in order simply to be alive,
but obviously that is wrong, for all are sustained by God whether they are saved or not until they
draw their last breath, and also, the text makes more a case for him having not eaten of the Tree of
Life than that he had. Any ways, as a natural man, it would be natural for him to disobey, no matter the
reason... to put himself on the throne as it were. That is essentially what all unsaved people do. The pride of life.

Love you sister… women are the least complaining species on earth 😂
I just finished watching a documentary on dogs. They are amazing! I think they deserve that accolade .;):D:giggle:

Again, Eve did believe some version of what you presented; Adam didn't. I base my understanding on 1 Timothy 2:14.

“I don't think Adam did believe Satan. Otherwise, it could not be said that he was not deceived. “

so he believed the fruit was going to kill him for sure when he ate it ? For sure eve pursuaded him god says he “ hearkened “ to the woman’s voice 😅( his downfall apparently ) 😅😅( thin ice )

“And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it:

cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Do you see what I’m saying ? God told him one thing and no one had eaten the fruit yet , that commandment was meant to keep them safe Sort of “ everything is yours just do not eat from this one tree it’s deadly for you “

that’s the part I’m talking about them not believing you can see Satan persuade the belief of just that part she asked about the fruit trees and states what’s in her belief

“but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.”

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: ( he’s attacking her belief in what God told them )

for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, ( he’s making it seem
Like Gods doing something selfish or keeping good from them to pursuade them )

then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

( the last part is true but that was never man’s role in creation we were to be gods image and operate by his words alone following as children )

And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, ( her belief of the fruit is surely changed as we see her mind now sees it as not going to cause death like Satan said )

and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:3-6‬ ‭

the reason I’m saying that it happened through the false doctrine that “ it’s not going to kill you “ imagine it eve just ate some fruit after accepting what Satan said about it I think that’s clear .

God said “it’s deadly don’t eat it “

satans said” it’s not it’s good for you gods keeping it away from you “

She then sees it as good food and will make her wise rather tban the belief she had just expressed “ it’s deadly dont even touch it or I’ll die “ so her belief about the fruit nothing else but that the fruit won’t hurt them it’s actually going to benefit them

The reason I think it’s the same for adam
Is they were both named Adam before they sinned and were considered one

and because of what he said there to Adam saying “ becaue you hearkened unto the voice of your wife and ate of the fruit “

It’s no different really than this

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭4:3-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Or this

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭2:1-2‬ ‭

it isn’t just “ do I believe “ it’s “ what do I believe “ what God has said to me ? Or any other word contradicting it ? We have to choose to stick with God even when we can’t see the proof of it working

Again, Eve did believe some version of what you presented; Adam didn't. I base my understanding on 1 Timothy 2:14.
So you believe Adam committed suicide willingly ?

The only part im saying that they believed is whether the fruit was going to bring death or not that one part was going to keep them from It if they believed it

What did God mean here brother ?

“And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it:
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Gods saying he hearkened to what his wife told him , and then ate the fruit he was commanded not to

eves saying I hearkened to what the serpent said and ate the fruit.

my point simple if you believe a piece of fruit is poison you aren’t going to eat it unless you want to die

If you believe it’s not really poison like you were originally told but it’s beneficial you are going to eat it

think of what I’m saying caused the fall ( they didn’t believe what he said would keep them alive ) then think of what saves us after the fall

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I’m not sure it seems like they thought it wasn’t going to hurt them because Satan made it seem a good thing rather than a suicide pact where Adam wanted to die and ate the fruit believing it was certain death. I think it shows that mankind has always had a choice to accept Gods true the and live or to accept satans lies and die and I believe that holds true throughout scriptire

people who hearkened to Gods word lived people who broke and defiles it died but he’s always been saying “ believe what I’m telling you and you’ll love and be blessed even today he’s saying bekieve what Jesus said will save you and be saved

I believe he sinned wilfully.
Yes he did knowing what god said

but following what the devil said like eve did

why did he do that is the question brother ? Was it because Satan attacked thier belief in gods word about the fruit ?

Creating at the very least doubt of what he said ? Or did they have faith in what he said the whole time ?

what we believe is going to lead us to our actions
