They came pretty dang close, sure did.
It's looking like the whole thing was a setup from the beginning from butt kiss Biden's secret service. I think Biden knew there was a plan to kill president Trump, and use the secret service to help get it done. Then got the FBI to help cover their tracks, so to speak.
That is just what it looks like to me, with The limited information I've seen, concerning the investigation into the attempted assassination of President Trump.

@StephenM
If Democrats win they will:

Eliminate the filibuster

Pack SCOTUS

Make DC a state

Import a new electorate with full voting rights

Declare dissent “hate speech,” punishable with jail time

Enforce a vast censorship & surveillance regime

Make their power over you PERMANENT.

Make their power over you PERMANENT.
Hey @cv5

I don't know. That part sounds more like the GOP agenda. Their leader is claiming that we'll never have to vote again. That would mean that whoever is elected this cycle will be leader for life over you. And I'm guessing that if we never have to vote again, then our leadership position will be filled as Great Britain's is, by family heirs. Oh, perish the thought that for the remainder of the existence of the U.S. there will always be one of that family leading us. We would definitely be doomed. I'm going to vote for the one who knows that in four years we're going to do it all over again, by public vote.

Hi @cv5

Isn't that what some are claiming the previous administration did to overturn Roe?

Make DC a state
Haven't heard that one. Has that been announced as a democratic initiative? Seems like it would be an awfully small state.

Import a new electorate with full voting rights
Really? The democratic initiative is to send all of the full citizenship Americans where? I mean, that would require that you get rid of the old players. Where are you moving to? I think I'd like Panama. Will the Democrats pay for the move or are they just going to put us all on a slow boat to China. Do you have any idea how many Americans, I mean born in the USA Americans, live in this nation? You think that a couple of million immigrants are going to overwhelm 300 million Americans? What planet do you live on?

Declare dissent “hate speech,” punishable with jail time
Again friend, sounds more like the GOP initiative here. The only person talking about putting people in jail as a part of their campaign agenda is the GOP candidate. I haven't heard any such claim of jailing and persecuting people from the Democratic ticket.

Enforce a vast censorship & surveillance regime
I honestly have no idea where that comes from. Again, the only people speaking of censorship is what's going on in the Republican ranks. They have actually made public schools get rid of hundreds of books and they're trying to get us to rewrite the history of our nation as regards the slave trade. That we good Americans did those poor black slaves a favor by bringing them over here and murdering them and making them work for nothing. And all of that was for their benefit because it made them stronger! Yeah, that's the GOP narrative, my friend.

Like a homosexual who has worked out in their mind that their sexual practices are not hated by God, the GOP wants to get you to believe in your mind that the way we treated black people that were forced to come here as a favor to them. That it was all a great benefit to those poor folks that died 300 years ago in chains and forced labor.

You do know what 'projection' is, right?

HI all,

And, of course, the very premise of this thread is that those who aren't going to vote for the GOP ticket hate the man leading them. Why can't it be just like all other elections during the last 200+ years? We each one make a choice as to who we believe to be the best person up for the job. It has nothing to do with hate. I just don't believe the man is a good fit for the job.

Of the two major contenders standing up for the job, I find that the Democratic side is the more stable choice. If someone gets an abortion, that's on them. And as it's looking now, that issue isn't even going to be any different with either of them in the job. So now, wiping the abortion issue off of the list of 'reasons I'm voting Republican', the rest of what's left looks much better to me under the Democratic initiative.

It's not hate, you know, that's what the homosexuals try to tell us is why we don't agree with them. It's just a matter of making a choice, based on the available evidence, as to who one wants to cast their vote for to lead the nation for the next four years.

Ted, when Trump wins he's going to send you to a re-education camp.

Sounds like you've already been and I'm not really wanting to be like you in that regard. Sorry, I'm voting for freedom and democracy and decency. I'm voting for non-tyrannical leadership.
You have no choice in the matter. Just like you have no choice when you're unable to deny adultery and homosexuals as your highest moral standards.
Your electric vehicle will also be taken from you and will be replaced by a V8, 5MPG Chevy or Ford.

Why would deposing a political opponent using a weaponized CIA, DOJ, FBI (all of which are operating outside the law) be considered a stable political environment?

And then, as a last resort, turn to the ultimate crime that brings political upheaval, assassination (the Kennedys and now Trump)?

Speaking of instability, I truly hope your sons are not sucked into the Democrat sponsored political vortex of the WW3 that they have planned. Tulsi Gabbard knows the playbook and has issued the warnings. You had better take heed.

Trump’s last four interviews:
-57 minutes (Dr. Phil) -57 minutes (Theo Von)
-2 hours and 3 minutes (Elon Musk)
-1 hour and 11 minutes (Shawn Ryan)

Kamala’s first interview in 40 days as the Democrat nominee:
18 minutes, edited, no transcript, and with a chaperone.

I see that as concerning at the very least, especially when his own people are fessing up to it. That, plus his whole "Build the Wall" scam is enough for me to conclude that he's not trustworthy and quite likely pretty dangerous.
You mean the "Build the Wall" scam that Harris now supports?

Sorry, I'm voting for freedom
No you aren't. Harris was installed. She wasn't voted in. That's not freedom. And she doesn't believe in freedom. She's proven that with the policies she and Biden espoused.

No, wrong again. She back stabbed her boss and took his job. She had news stories squashed on social media. And she's getting ready to steal the vote again. They found illegals on the voter roll in Texas. I'm sure there are more. She allowed an invasion of illegals into the country. She may be for a lot of things, but democracy isn't one of them.

She got her position because she was dating and sleeping with a married man. She was caught lying about her policies in her interview. Everything she was for, now she's against, except abortion. So much so, they are comparing her to Reagan. She also is standing by her VP who lied about his military record, and his drunk driving record.

I'm voting for non-tyrannical leadership.[/QUOTE]

This is just flat out fantasy. You haven't listened to what she has been saying or doing.

Hi @cv5

It hurts to laugh so much. You're using some statements made by a KGB officer in 1984 to establish what's going on today in the U.S. And it's posted on X. Now that's a trusted news source for sure.

I tell you, it hurts to laugh at the idiocy that MAGA comes up with to support their cause.
