if you don't believe He is at all times fully God, i rather think you are the one who does not believe in the orthodox doctrine of the hypostatic union...
His Deity never stopped being God.
His Deity simply stopped empowering Jesus to function as God.

That is why he needed to pray to the Father for his needs, and depend upon the Holy Spirit for his miracles.

Why do think Satan tempted Jesus to turn the stones into bread?
To get Jesus to stop being as a man, as to disqualify Jesus from dying as a man in our place!
Satan tested - not tempted, look at the Greek and at James 1:13 - he tested Christ because Satan is not omniscient and thought Jesus was only a second Adam.

Satan was unable to deceive the first Adam but was able to coerce him through attacking his wife. he probed for weakness in Christ and found zero.

sorry, but saying Christ remained God but became not-God is complete malarkey. however popular that view is in the modern Laodecian vomit church, it remains error.

He did not 'need' to do anything. He did things for our benefit.

always take the highest view possible of Christ, not the lowest you can stomach.
you do not want to err on the side of blasphemy, friend. if you err at all let it be that you praised God too much! as tho it is possible, ha

Satan tempted Jesus
if you believe in the deity of Christ you should recognize that statement as blasphemy, bro.

it is amazing, and quite sad, that so few recognize it as such.

am i wrong @cv5 ??
why did we become equipped for this?
to strengthen the beloved.

if Satan knew he was talking to God would he dare test Him?

No.

See Job 1-2

God can not be tempted. That is true!

Read what this says.

Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry.
Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command
that these stones become bread.” Matthew 4:1-3

That's even more reason we need to understand that Jesus was not functioning as God at that time!
For the Word of God tells us he was being tempted!

Therefore, Matthew 4:1-2 proves he had successfully made himself to be as a man!

"For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses,
but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin." Hebrews 4:15
Come on....

Make those bones come to be alive!

again @Genez please read, "test"
just as every sacrifice in Leviticus.

Christ was "tested" in every way as we are, and found perfect.

God cannot be tempted. kjv is in blasphemous error to translate as "tempt" both in the wilderness and in Hebrews.

No.

See Job.
The Greek first class condition in Matthew 4:3 revealed that Satan knew who Jesus was the Son of God.

Here is what the first class condition in the Greek reads like in Matthew 4:3 to the reader understanding the Greek.

And when the tempter {Satan/Lucifer/the devil} came to Him, he said, "If You are always {in the absolute status of being} the Son of God - and you are - SPEAK that these stones may become bread."

{Note: The Greek syntax of a 1st class conditional clause requires 'and you are'. This indicates that Satan recognized the deity of Christ even if we do not!

"The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God (and you are) tell these stones to become bread.”

Satan knew him before the Incarnation. Even demons knew who Jesus really was, and Jesus commanded them to be quiet.

Why did Satan tempt Jesus to turn the stones into bread? He would have to take back up his power to be God to do so!

Satan wanted Jesus to fail to live as a man.
For if Jesus remained living as a man?
He would qualify to die for all men as a man.

Nope.

Strong's 3985 - to test or prove. same word in Matthew, Mark, Luke and Hebrews.

'the one testing' not 'the tempter'

you do not need to contradict James or to blaspheme.

you only need to study, and to believe God.
what you are presenting is contrary to orthodoxy.

or does it really appear who is the one who does not believe actually in the hypostatic union, hmm?

:eek::p

if we will never experience sinless humanity there is no such thing as salvation.

you don't have to be God to be pre-fall Adam.
You missed what I said. I wasn't talking about us experiencing sinless humanity, I was talking about our humanity experiencing God.

the very next thing recorded in Matthew 5 is Christ speaking ex-cathedra, as God, not as man.

not 'thus saith the LORD' as Moses and all the Prophets.
"But I say unto you" as no one but YHWH can speak.

fail?

not fail.
Deity.

do you believe in the hypostatic union or do you believe in a mere glorified human, with a hedge around him, as Satan accused of Job?

standard Hebrew betrothal ceremony language.

the Groom defers all questions about the timing of the snatching away of the Bride to the Father.

Peter did not lie when he said "LORD You know all things"
What you have said here makes no sense. It appears you are content for Jesus to say He did not know while at the same time knowing all things? How does He, God the Son who is omniscient, not know when He will come for His bride?

BTW @Genez does John 1 mention the Word ceased to be God and became flesh in your translation?

because i am not seeing it.

sure seems like it clearly says God with us, IOW "Immanuel" - - - not "a particularly gtoovy guy with us"

Hahaha

i do love you, m8.

don't take it wrong. :)

no mere man can by their death make atonement for the sins of the world.
if this were the case the cross is human sacrifice, like to Molech, which is detestable. you might as well say Christianity is Baal worship.
So you think God died?
