I have a simple solution. Just raise the minimum wage to $250,000 an hour. Then the tax on our pay would be enough to pay the debt to 0.

The only downside is our dollar would be worthless and no one would be willing to trust us ever again. So no more loans, no international trade. But since we are the biggest consumer nation in the world that would impact them every bit as much as it would impact us. People would ditch the US dollar as worthless, but at least we would be debt free and then we could start pulling ourselves up by our bootstraps.
Dollar becoming worthless you say?
Yes, it is true, the useful idiot chumps are in for a world of hurt.
Let them suffer. It will teach them and their children a valuable lesson.

The useful idiots will never see it coming buddy. So at least there is that consolation.

3. Even if Powell cuts rates to 0 tomorrow (inflation would explode), cash interest expense will keep rising and will peak at $1.4 trillion. If the Fed cuts by "only" 100bps in the next year and keeps rate constant, interest will hit $2 trillion by 2026.

Wow! You are an optimist! You think US currency will still be around in 2026?! I would be very surprised if we make it to 2025.

@LukeGromen

CNY is free v. gold. CNY is not free v. USD. USD was historically not free v. gold. That worked as long as commodities were only priced in USD. Once that stopped, commodities have become the crowbar freeing gold from the USD.

Gold is now the reference point for USD & CNY, rather than USD the reference point for gold & CNY.

This the real reason Russia & China are public enemies #1 & #2, IMO

===============================================================================

(1) Luke Gromen on X: "@TXMCtrades IMO if the USD was free v. gold historically (up until a few yrs ago), this chart would not look like this, and the price of gold would be 6-7x higher than it is today, if not more: https://t.co/h6g59GQfvq" / X

"...other IMMIGRANTS that make up our country..." Seriously? Earlier immigrants came in LEGALLY, but there Haitians came in ILLEGALLY. So why are you lying right off the bat? Comparing lawful citizens with foreign illegal invaders?
Oh the irony. It's you who is lying.

https://springfieldohio.gov/immigration-faqs/

Q: Are the immigrants here legally and how did they qualify?
A: YES, Haitian immigrants are here legally, under the Immigration Parole Program. Once here, immigrants are then eligible to apply for Temporary Protected Status (TPS). Haiti is designated by the Secretary of Homeland Security for TPS. Current TPS is granted through February 3, 2026.

Who's the father of lies? Satan.

It seems to me you want to stir the pot of racial anger, not me.
Huh? Who here is trying to support Trump's racist fear mongering? You're actually trying to accuse a person who's defending people from racist attacks of stirring up racism?

Bizarre.

I think the entire debate was gaslighting from start to finish, especially with all these pundits on cue talking about how Kamala won and how ridiculous it is that someone is eating a cat. I don't like to be lied to and if I can expose the lies and the gaslighting I will. I could care less who you or anyone else in this country votes for. That is your choice if you are a US citizen who is eligible to vote.

Also I find your attempt to play the race card about people who are concerned about the impact the 20 million illegals brought into the country in a very short time will have is ugly. I ignore your posts as much as possible because in my opinion they are poisonous. This post is just one more example of someone trying to project the ugliest possible motives in someone posting a link that helps clear up the debate and expose the lies.
You didn't answer the question at all.

You posted a story about an American citizen being arrested for killing/eating a cat. Why? Were you trying to support Trump's fear mongering and lies about Haitian immigrants in Springfield? Why?

Earlier I posted a story and video about a metal shop owner in Springfield who has hired many Haitians. He praised their reliability and hard work, and said he was very glad to have hired them because of the labor shortage in Springfield.

That's a heart warming story, a story of America where people can come here and succeed through hard work. Why, rather than focus on that, have you instead chosen to focus on trying to validate Trump's dark lies? You have a choice. Light or dark. Hate or love.

Which would Jesus Christ choose?

You didn't answer the question at all.
Post #600, 603 and 611 answered this. I am not interested in conversing with you, as I have said repeatedly I do not feel that you are faithful and honest in your posts.

This person proves that the claim is not "unfounded". It proves that all those trying to say the claim is ridiculous are simply gaslighting us.

It proves that there are people catching and eating cats. Hence to say this is happening is not "unfounded".

You can claim that we have not seen the proof of this, that is fair. But unfounded makes you appear ignorant. Anyone who has lived in other countries, like myself, knows this is not "unfounded" and that it certainly happens frequently in some countries. I have never been to Haiti, but I do know some ball players have done animal sacrifices to help their performance here in the US and I do know that the voodoo religion does involve animal sacrifices. There is nothing ridiculous or unfounded about the claim.

Instead, simply ask Trump to provide the proof. He made the claim, now prove it.

I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to go over this in detail.

1. The debate was rigged. ABC news was very biased and not an impartial debate moderator. One of the moderators had a closer personal tie to Kamala Harris. The fact checking and accusations were all one way against Trump while being fully positive for Kamala Harris.

2. Kamala was given the questions ahead of time to practice on and rehearse her response. She was also wearing a wireless earphone so that she could be fed information to respond to Trump.

3. As soon as the debate was over they flooded the airwaves telling us how she won and Trump lost.

All of that represents the gaslighting.

However, when looking at people responding to the debate in real time we find that both those identifying as Republican and Independent were having very positive response to Trump and negative response to Harris. One poll showed that among undecided voters who watched the debate 60% said afterwards they had decided to vote for Trump while 30% said they had decided to vote for Harris. Since the debate is all about influencing the undecideds that would be a huge victory for Trump, not Harris. That is proof we were being gaslit.

They also made a big stink on the internet about the claim that Haitians were eating cats in Springfield OH. Some of the useful idiots even posted memes portraying Trump in a straight jacket saying this. But within a day we were provided proof by Ohio police that yes, they had arrested a woman for killing and eating a cat. So once again, gaslighting. This also caused us to ask people in Springfield what is going on in Springfield and we learned that the immigrants, many of whom are Haitian are driving without a license. One person explained that since they don't speak english they bring an interpreter to take the written exam and so in many cases they don't even answer the questions, it is the interpreter that does that. One man said he had been hit three times by the Haitians. The police chief and the mayor and a bus driver for the school system all talked publicly about what is happening. People are not being prosecuted for the crime of driving illegally. That is not a small thing as when they get into an accident they have no insurance and they do not pay for the damage, which at times is extensive. One guy mentioned about a Haitian accident that brought down a power pole. Of course some of these accidents are deadly as well. Now the debate was not about the risk to our pets from the 20 million immigrants that have come in with Biden, but it was about Kamala's performance as a Border Czar. The attempt to make this "racist" was gaslighting. The attempt to focus on the debate on the claim that Haitians in Springfield are eating cats is gaslighting. You discover how absurd they are when they first claim it is a ridiculous argument until there is proof that it is true. Then they claim that it wasn't in Springfield. It was in Ohio. In the end none of that is what 99% of Americans care about. The issue is not "lock up your pets", the issue is how did Kamala do as "the border Czar"? Any attempt to change the narrative is, in my opinion, gas lighting.

Personally I don't care about the election and did not watch the debate. However, this is entertaining, I cannot deny that, and I thank the Lord for giving us this comedy of errors as it is always helpful to laugh. I don't care who wins the election or if there is even an election. This is not my home, I am just passing through, a pilgrim. But I do appreciate when liars are exposed and the liars were furiously telling us that Kamala won after the debate but as I look at polls of undecideds and independents I find that conclusion to be laughable. She was destroyed, as she should be. She is a phony. Now if I can see this, someone who is only mildly interested, you can be sure many, many others see it as well.

As you may realize I have simply cut and pasted this response. That is what I plan on doing going forth with Jaybird and the other trolls.

This is really very sad. So many here who call themselves "Christians" are full of darkness, anger, hate, and lies.

We all know who the father of those things are. And we know what Christ taught about how we are to treat the poor, our neighbor, the stranger, and the least among us.

I pray the Holy Spirit intervene and help turn you away from the darkness and towards God's unconditional love.

Good glad to hear that.
Please provide links about this supposed massive 20,000 man labor shortage.

How is the inflation and housing crisis doing there? How about this endless need for $$$ endless funding $$$ at taxpayer expense?
Are these supposed new labor taxpayer revenues vastly outdistancing the vast tax expenditures?

Because I doubt it. In fact I know that you know that 20,000 additional souls cannot POSSIBLY be absorbed as labor in a city of 60,000.

I think you plucked one token employer out of a sea of unemployment, debt and despair to erect you Potemkin village.

Nice try buddy. But logic and reality wins the day. Again.

And no @JayBird , you have NEVER ONCE spoken about the tens of thousands of missing migrant children.
Because you DO NOT CARE. Not really. Total radio silence from you, @ResidentAlien @Maggiefortruth and the rest of the crew.

I am not aiding and abetting human trafficking cartels. And making a buck doing it.
I am calling them out for what they are. And you? Nary a word about it.

What is the problem here? The evil servant was doing wickedness and knew full well
what was going down. The dirty money. The human and child trafficking. The cartels.
The payoffs and kickbacks. The whole rotten affair. Bye bye, lake of fire for you.

Mat 24:48
But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
Mat 24:49
And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
Mat 24:50
The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
Mat 24:51
And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

I knew there was a catch to the crime significantly dropping claim.

https://pointofview.net/articles/crime-not-going-down/

I did not lose money under Biden because I'm in a more conservative fund now after doing very well under Trump. I knew someone who lost $100K almost immediately under Biden and just recently started to bounce back. I retired this last May and am tired of the risky funds/roller coaster ride. I make enough return on interest now to do just fine with a more conservative fund. Thank you Trump!
Dan, I wanted to make sure I followed up on this as I promised.

I read through the article and the links he cited, and here are my thoughts.

He starts out by citing how Americans think crime is on the rise, when the data shows it isn't. Of course, just because people believe something is true doesn't make it so. People overestimating crime rates has been a problem for years now, something a lot of people attribute to local news and their "if it bleeds it leads" approach to news broadcasts.

But his main argument is that the data showing crime rates dropping is misleading because what's really going on is that people just aren't reporting crimes as much as they used to. To support that, he cites the FBI's Criminal Victimization Survey. I went and looked at the latest report (2023) and the graphics and it doesn't support his claim that the drop in crime rates is actually due to reduced rates of victims reporting to police. None of those reporting rates show a change that would account for the drop in crimes committed (such as, a 6% drop in reporting can't account for a 20% drop in crime).

Next, he points out that some cities didn't submit crime data. That's true, but as the FBI notes that's always been the case (they've never had every single city report in a year). So that doesn't account for the rather dramatic drops in crime either. Plus, obviously a city not reporting doesn't affect the data in other cities that are showing significant drops in crime.

Next, he argues that because arrest rates for crimes are lower, that means people will report crimes less. But that's similar to what I covered above, in that the drops in reporting aren't sufficient to account for the drops in crime.

He also keeps jumping back and forth between 2022 and 2023 data, which just confuses things.

Again, thanks for posting the link. It was an interesting set of arguments to look into.

The insidious Democrat plan has been very clearly exposed, in fact they have admitted as much: election fraud via massive immigration fraud.

This is entirely criminal in nature and intent.
The mechanism by which they are facilitating this criminal escapade is ALSO a highly profitable criminal escapade, human trafficking,
all at taxpayer expense.

Top tier Democrats lie a flea infested bed with the cartels. Without the slightest qualm. But this is typical for them as a criminal psychologic profile lacks a conscience.

Migrants are tools and pawns and merely a means to an end for the political elite. Pity those poor souls.
IMO, they have other plans for new migrants too. Such as padding the military with migrant WW3 cannon fodder conscripts.
Migrants are in for a rude awakening.

Fortunately, not my problem.

The stock markets hit record highs and you still managed to lose money? Or did you just not make as much as you hoped?
We have to go all the way back to George H. Bush to find a time when the market did not hit the all time during a Presidency. So hitting the all time high is not indicative of the type of return you would have received.

According to Kiplinger's in a article they did "The Best and Worst Presidents (According to the Stock Market)"

https://www.kiplinger.com/investing/602714/best-and-worst-presidents-according-to-the-stock-market

The stock market return for Biden has been 11.2% annually.
The market return under Trump was 13.6% annually.

So assuming reinvestment of all gains for a compounding effect for a 4 year period of each Presidency.
10k invested under Biden would grow to 15290.41k for a total return of 52.9%
10k invested under Trump would grow to 16653.79k for a total return of 66.53%

So his statement he did better under Trump is actually factual vs anecdotal.

The one fact that I have never heard discussed is the robbing of retirement funds!
If you are and active worker or retired, you should be very concerned that the funds that you have set aside for retirement are being drained by the current administration.
Over the past year, they have reached into your savings and removed about 25%.
I know what you're thinking. You go check your balance and tell yourself, that's just not true. I don't see any withdrawals, everything looks just fine. In fact, the balance increased a little!
However, that balance is only worth 75% of its value of a year ago! This is due to the inflation we have all suffered. In other words, for every 100,000.00 that you have set aside, 25,000.00 has been stolen.
That's just one of the problems that each of us should be voting to correct!
I have seen a few people mention it over the years: How the government now wants to act as if
they are giving retirees welfare to pay them back the monies contributed during their working years,
to help support them in their golden years. It really is nothing short of theft. And shameful!!!

Are those numbers adjusted for inflation?
LOL......no I did not feel like doing the math for that so I just did a straight total return just to point out that Dan did in fact do better under Trump.

In either case though both returns have beat inflation.

Thanks for posting that, but honestly it's a terrible analysis because it doesn't control for inflation at all, and he included the rather large gains that occurred after Trump lost in 2020 (but before Biden was sworn in).
