I'm not sure how many of those resulted in convictions. The firearm was acquired illegally.

Lying takes much more effort than telling the truth. A polygraph can detect stress, not the same as a lie and certainly doesn't explain what the lie is, but the effort to beat the polygraph can overwhelm a good liar.
What really does work is micro expressions, vocal stress analysis, and someone who is very well trained in questioning techniques. Also the reason they will question people for 24 hours is to get them exhausted, again trying to overwhelm a very good liar.
So although they don't care very much about the results of a polygraph they will still use them. So saying they have been "debunked" is too simplistic. A polygraph does not tell me if you are lying or telling the truth. But people who can tell with a very high degree of accuracy can tell you with a high degree of accuracy if you are lying or telling the truth will still use polygraphs as one of many tools.

Sadly parroting the highly improbably crazy coincidence theory being fed to us by the MSM is the only approved theory for the internet. All other theories run the risk of being suicided.
Who could forget Biden 's speech when he railed against Trump and MAGA Republicans with a hellish red background or when Biden said “it’s time to put Trump in a bullseye” just days before the first assassination attempt. Then we have Harris who stated that Donald Trump is a threat to our democracy and fundamental freedoms. This type of rhetoric fuels hatred and could very well lead to violence. Hence, two assassination attempts on Trump only 5 weeks apart! The democrats really know how to exploit and abuse the word "democracy." Tyranny could inevitably end up becoming the outcome of their idea of democracy. Someone once said that democracies eventually degenerate into totalitarianism. America seems to be moving in that direction under the democratic regime.

Rather than condemning the violence, Jeffries instead took to the X platform to rant about the now-dissolved Project 2025 and the prospect of a national abortion ban, a policy that Trump has repeatedly ruled out. “Extreme MAGA Republicans are the party of a national abortion ban and Trump’s Project 2025,” he wrote. “We must stop them.”

One correction: He probably didn't park on the street but across the street in one of the parking lots. He got to the location when it was still dark and slipped through the hedges undetected.
In the last sixty years we have had JFK, RFK, and Reagan shot by lone gunmen. Now with Trump that works out to about one every 15 years. So we can all rest easy, it is now highly improbable that there will be anymore lone gunmen going after Trump.
He got out of a car in a parking lot with a rifle, and crossed the street where any car driving with their headlights would have seen a rifle, and then jumped the fence to get into Trump's golf course with a rifle? That seems like a terrifying minute afraid someone will come and see you at any second. How far was the car parked from this? Did he have to travel a hundred yards? A rifle is very difficult to conceal, and in the middle of the night people are always going to pay attention to that man sneaking into the Presidents golf course.
Just another random assassination attempt on a former president who's life has been threatened on every venue by every person who fears him. Nothing to see here move along.
