“Starting today, we are asking users in the United States to pay a small recurring fee for unlimited access to CNN.com’s world-class articles,” CNN’s Executive Vice President of Digital Products and Services Alex MacCallum stated.
Users will be prompted to subscribe after reading a limited number of free articles, gaining unlimited access along with additional perks like exclusive content and fewer ads.

Vance Brilliantly Exposes Left-Wing Media
During his recent CBS News debate, Republican vice presidential candidate Sen. J.D. Vance stood by his assertions regarding the effects of immigration on housing prices. Despite challenges from moderators, Vance provided evidence, including quotes from Federal Reserve member Michelle Bowman.
Bowman had stated that new immigrants could increase rental prices due to low housing inventory.
“Here is Michelle Bowman of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors: ‘Given the current low inventory of affordable housing, the inflow of new immigrants to some geographic areas could result in upward pressure on rents,'”
Vance also referenced a Journal of Housing Economics study showing that “immigration inflows into a particular Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) is associated with increases in rents and with house prices in that MSA.”
Vance also cited a report by the Congressional Budget Office which revealed that “increases in immigration raise state and local governments’ spending—particularly on education, health care, and housing—more than their revenues.”
Vance’s Debate Success Sparks Surge in Approval Ratings
After a strong debate against Democratic opponent Tim Walz, Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance saw a notable rise in his approval ratings.
Polls conducted immediately after the debate showed a noticeable shift in favorability for Vance. CNN reported a 19-point swing from -22 to -3 among left-leaning viewers.
CBS News/YouGov indicated that favorable views of Vance rose from 40% to 49% post-debate.
Walz, on the other hand, faced criticism and struggled to respond to key questions. Many believe Walz’s blunders likely fueled Vance’s debate success and improved ratings.
“I think we shouldn’t lose track, I think even in the civility of the fact that J.D. Vance came to this debate to land a bunch of punches, and he did,” CNN’s Abby Phillip said.

A former French teacher, Peter Vlaming, has been awarded $575,000 by a Virginia school board after being dismissed for not using a transgender student’s chosen pronouns.
Vlaming, supported by the Alliance Defending Freedom legal group, argued that his termination violated his religious beliefs.
“I was wrongfully fired from my teaching job because my religious beliefs put me on a collision course with school administrators who mandated that teachers ascribe to only one perspective on gender identity—their preferred view,” Vlaming said.
After initially losing in a lower court, the Virginia Supreme Court ruled in his favor, stating his First Amendment rights were violated.
“I loved teaching French and gracefully tried to accommodate every student in my class, but I couldn’t say something that directly violated my conscience,” Vlaming said.
