The anti-christ will not appear until the Church, which hinders him is taken out of the way, and the Jewish temple must be rebuilt by the midway point of the Great Tribulation for him to do so.
[re: "the man of sin"] he is not "revealed" when he does the "sitteth in the temple" thing (v.4b--MID-trib), but when he does the "whose COMING / ADVENT / ARRIVAL / PRESENCE / PAROUSIA" thing (v.9a [and v.8a,6,3b "be revealed"]), which is at the START of the "7 year period" (not at its MIDDLE!)

ALL passages (covering this Subject) AGREE (on that)!

I suspect that this will be, in its own way, an act of mercy on the Lord's part as the falling away of those who have remained babes-in-Christ and who abide outside of the impact zone will die as judgement begins at the house of God and who will be a part of the world's one third killed during this event; before they'll have time to be among those who will fall away, as foretold in scripture. IMO...
How does this even make sense?

It sounds like you're saying: the ones that fall away will be the believers who "remained babes-in-Christ," but they'll be among those KILLED, and these [the ones who "remained babes-in-Christ"] are killed "*before* they'll have time to be among those who fall away".

Makes no sense, to me. lol

[Besides... 1Cor15:51 shows Paul (addressing "the Church WHICH IS HIS BODY"/the BODY OF CHRIST) saying, "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,"... and that INCLUDES the ones he just wrote earlier in this epistle--see chpt 3!! where he called them "carnal" and "babes in Christ" and as "walking as mere-men"]

I didn't think it was that hard to understand, sorry about that!
We're told in 2 Thes 2: 2-3: "That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;" Those that fall away before the man of sin is revealed, will be those believers who remain babes in Christ. Heb 5: 13: "For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe." Those who die when the burning mountain impacts the earth and who are babes in Christ will die before they have time to be among those who will fall away when the day of Christ is at hand. 1 Pet 4: 17: "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?" This will happen like this because judgement begins at the house of God. So the burning mountain will impact the earth a year or more, I think, before the midway point of the Great Tribulation. This will spare some of the babes in Christ as it'll be before the man of sin is revealed, and, I suspect, somewhat before the falling away that is foretold in 2 Thes 2: 2-3 (as listed above). Let me add that the man of sin will be from Europe and will be revealed to the world for sure in the temple in Jerusalem.
To my thinking, we'll all be changed during the Rapture or 1 Thes 4: 17: "Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." this event is what restrains the man of sin: 2 Thes 4: 6-8 NASB "And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. he For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming;"
The reason I say that the Church is what restrains the anti-christ is found in Mt 16: 18: "And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Gates are a defensive weapon.

why does israel need to be literal?
when you look at DNA the prophecies can't be literal.

Isa 66:7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.
Isa 66:8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
Gal 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
Gal 6:16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.
Rev 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

Rom 9:6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
Rom 9:7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.

Rom 2:26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?
Rom 2:27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?
Rom 2:28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
Rom 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

1Co 12:27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
Eph 3:6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
Eph 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

Gal 3:7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
Gal 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
Gal 3:9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. .....
Gal 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
Gal 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Gal 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

It is clear that the body of Christ is spiritual israel
It is clear that it is the heart and faith that makes us heirs.

the mistake was made by israel when Jesus came the first time. they were looking for a worldly kingdom with a worldly king.

Im looking to heaven.
Mat_4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Mat 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
Mat 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
Mat 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Yes, it is clear.

But damnable heresies...
Unrighteous leaven etc...

Can't say Christ did not warn them.

Why does it need to be literal?

Has to be or you are questioning the prophecies of the bible?

Is the antichrist going to sit in the temple and claim to be God?

Did his disciples teach us differently?

Do you understand the things that are shadow of things to come?

Do you understand why about 3000 souls were saved on the day of Pentecost?

Do you believe in a 7 year Tribulation?
The prophecies are often conditional.
And fulfilled in Christ.

Spiritual Israel will and have fulfilled those prophecies.

There is an antichrist today claiming to be God

Since the evil one isn't omniscient, I suspect that he has several prospective anti-christs groomed to be ready for selection when the time comes. As for claiming to be god, that'll have to wait until it's the right time too.

This coming year will have an increase of chaos and turmoil in the world along with an increase in wars. By the feast of Trumpets in 2025 the one who will become the antichrist will sign a covenant with many including Israel for Israel will be tired of wars and looking for peace and security and Israel will have that time for 3 1/2 years till the evil one takes his seat in the temple of God.
That's a lotta speculation there........

I would like to mention something of importance. America has always been Israel's best friend even tho these days there is some distrust. But someone is coming to make a covenant with many including Israel. For some reason America is no longer in the picture!

What should we expect to happen next?
I remember when Gorbachev was the Anti Christ and it was the start of the tribulation?

Christians were waiting to beamed up at any moment, it was imminent we had to leave Bibles everywhere for those Left Behind!

Wash, rinse, repeat, wash, rinse, repeat...

I wonder how long until Christians come to terms with the fact >>>>> the eschatology of Hal Lindsey was wrong.

When you mention 'Christians' doing this or that, are you one?

What do you think that means? It might not be as bad as some people think. From what I've been seeing of the globalists in our own government, they don't want to let it be destroyed - I think they want to eventually hand this nation over to the antichrist to put it under his control. And of course the antichrist will shower them with rewards for doing so.

I don't think the antichrist would want it destroyed either because this country has an abundance of resources and skilled man-power that he wants and needs.

Kind of like when Nazi Germany occupied France during WW2. The Nazis LOVED France. Every Nazi hoped to be assigned to France and not the Eastern front to fight the Russians.

But it has to be pointed out that love for France did not make the Jews any safer. The Nazis and Vichy France systematically deported whatever Jews they can find in France to the execution camps in the East.

So I think it will be the same for Christians in the US. When that mark of the beast is implemented and we refuse it, they're going to systematically kill us off as well. And all those that take the mark will hate us. At least in WW2 there were some Christians who helped hide and rescue Jews (as a matter of fact, France was able to actually hide 3/4 of their French-Jewish population during the entire war), but who's going to do that for us?

It's not to say that we'll all die. God will make sure there will be some left who will be "alive and remain" when the Lord returns for us, just like some Jews somehow survived the Holocaust of WW2.

2ndTimeIsTheCharm, Yes this is exactly what I think ww2 was a foreshadowing of the end times. It's very sad, I want to memorize as much of the bible until that time. God willing some of us can be like Nicole Valery-Grossu's in bless you prison she wrote the bible on the wall so unbelievers could have hope that if they die there will be a better place to go.

And both those who see him fulfilled in the past without accounting for him in history along with those insisting he is in the future when they have gone have fallen prey to him. He's standing right in front of both their faces and niether of the two can see him in their pride.

I thought about what Nicole Valery-Grossu did and I think that's a great idea! So what Bible verses would be good to write on the walls in prison?

Deuteronomy 31:8 The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Luke 21:27 At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

I just recently shared this with someone on here, but I think it will strengthen us in prison too:

Isaiah 54:17 no weapon forged against you will prevail,
and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.

This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
and this is
their vindication from me,”
declares the Lord.

Psalm 23:4
Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,

I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;

your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

There's so much more!

yes, there are so many good encouraging bible verses.

'Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” "I promise that today you will be with me in paradise"

Jesus also said, "I will be with you always"

18And: “I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found.

Say to those with anxious heart,
“Take courage, fear not.
Behold, your God will come with vengeance;
The recompense of God will come,
But He will save you.”

19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Psalm 23, 57,51,91,
