Hey all,

I've returned from my slumber to ply your brains for creative date ideas excluding dinner. This girl I'm really interested in cannot, for medical reasons, eat out.

I have yet to ask her out, but think the world of her and would like to be able to make the first date a memorable experience though it will have to exclude the centerpiece of most successful dates.

The best ideas I have, however, are bowling and mini golf.

Hmmm , no food AT ALL? Now that you say it , I realize that almost all date ideas include food, something's wrong there haha. But it's not impossible..what about videogames? a mario kart's afternoon date?
Does she like sports? you can go hiking, or play tennis, even go for a walk in a nice park.
Bowling and mini golf sounds fun.
I will tell you this, if you two like each other, you will have fun with anything you do. :) I hope you find something fun though, good luck!

You know..here's a thought..find out what she is allowed to eat..make the food yourself? Sooooooooo..here's my idea.... Make supper with her at her place..ask her parents.. that way you'll be able to incorporate food into your date..there's nothing sweeter than a guy cooking for his girl.. then go to the movies with her..watch something epic..then afterwards..take a nice moonlit walk in a park.. buy a bottle of bubbles..and while you're in the park..have a wonderfully deep talk..while she whimsically blows bubbles..ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh or you could take a blanket with you and go star gazing!!!!!!!!!!!

Bible Trivia. How about an old fashioned tea party have empty glasses, empty plates, A rose in the middle of the table. Go all out break out the fine china. I bet ya she will have an awesome time.

Bowling sounds cool, how about taking her to the zoo, skating, maybe an amusement park? These events usually stimulate conversations.

Great thoughts, everyone.

I should make a few more qualifiers.

1. I can't go to her place. It is a female dorm at a Christian school. While curiosity compels me to see what is there, the stiff penalty that is said to be worse than being executed is a dissuading factor.

2.She can't go to mine. I made the mistake of introducing my last girlfriend to my parents too early. Perhaps if we're still dating in a month...

Seriously, keep'em coming. The more ideas I have in the bank the better. :)

How about a date where you and your lady go to a park. Have a bag of simple questions like. Whats your favorite song.. Whats your view on this etc.. in a bag you draw one each and begin to exchange ideas, thoughts, fears, hopes, and all those things.

Take her out on a "Dat". You know, a date without the "e". All you would have to do is hangout and find activities you'd both enjoy.

If you know what she can safely eat, you could assemble a picnic lunch at your house before picking her up. Scope out a nice park, or, better yet, a botanical garden, if your city has one. The food isn't absolutely necessary, but it will help keep you from getting nervous, and give you something to do/talk about. Just make ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN that the food you take is safe for her to eat. Nothing says "second date" like a trip to the emergency room........;) good luck!

movies (she could eat before she goes), carriage rides, beaches, libraries, concerts, movies or music programs in the park, bike rides, aquariums, historical places in your community, church activities that don't involved pitch in dinners/food.....

something personal to you. Something personal to her, the environment you live in, only you know. These passions and abilitys only you know. Dig deep within the realm of you and what you have at your disposal and you will unearth something to be most treasured. Good luck.

Congrats! Snackers is dying to know where you decided to take her, but I informed him that it would be rude to ask (I really am trying to teach him manners, but it's a slow process). Have fun! Keep us posted if you want! :)

This sounds like a great idea, Fencer.

I like an idea of each bringing your animals, that would allow you to showcase your pet instead of yourself. :)

---+)(+----
I just like the idea of doing something that hits on your strengths for a date. If you are not a great conversationalist, well, a pet lets you disperse some of that pressure. I play hide and seek with Piddy (pictured) and that I know would be fun to show a girl in a date. I think so , anyway. You need to mmake certain girl is not allergic to doggs or didn't have her cat, Fifi, torn apart by one as that kind of SURPRISE on a date would make the date ende quicker than you couuld say, 'bad food, got to go to emergency doing'
' (that was said for snackersmommy :) )

But , yeah, ritter bring a 'p' or a 'p' (pen to write down questions on picnic outing and don't forget to have a red/white checkered tablecloth , LOL. or pet is other 'p'.)

I love your mini golf idea! I think that'd be a great way to start a relationship. It's fun and has so many opportunities to have some laughs :)
Best of luck with the first date :-)

The pub. A couple of shandies is sure to keep conversation going. God knows, I need a drink to make me sociable.

Hey all, just got back from our first date. It was awesome. Thank you all for the inspiration.

Here is another great date without din-din idea, when I was. 10 , at recess, I played tetherball and hopskotch , they are fun I think, would be on a date and after those two games, you can invité a couple kids you see at playground to get in a square (noté: ritt, don't invité any cute guys to.a square or you might soon be dateles :D ) and play some SQUAREBALL .
