I haven't seen you, or anyone, "debunk" this (the "144,000" are indeed YET FUTURE to us).
On another note,
what do you believe Jesus meant, when He said this to "the 12" -
--(
Matthew 19:28)
Mat 19:28 "And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me,
in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory [see Matthew 25:31-34 (quoted below) for its TIMING (and location)], ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel."
[the "12 tribes of Israel," by the way, that you (and Covenant Theology) are suggesting ARE NO LONGER pertinent in God's scheme of things]
Mat 25:31
When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him,
then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
Mat 25:32
And
before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth
his sheep from the goats:
Mat 25:33
And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Mat 25:34
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye
blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom having been prepared for you
from [apo] the foundation of the world:
[note, here it is "FROM [APO] the foundation of the world"; whereas
elsewhere, certain passages (DISTINCTLY) say, of OTHER THINGS, "BEFORE [PRO] the foundation of the world"--NOT the SAME matters!]
--Question (regarding this Matt25 passage) - Do you think Jesus was saying the
SAME THING HERE (when He tells the "Sheep," - Come, ye BLESSED of My Father, inherit the kingdom
HAVING BEEN PREPARED for you
FROM the foundation of the world") [is that the same] as when He said, "
I *GO TO PREPARE a place for you..." ?
IOW, do you notice ANY DISTINCTION WHATSOVER between these ^ two sentences (Jesus' words)?
[Full disclosure...]
I do!
The two sentences are NOT conveying THE SAME IDEA. There are definite DISTINCTIONS between them, and
cannot "mean" the SAME thing.
