Musk is use to mutual respect in interviews. However, he certainly and understandably would not allow someone to impugn his personal or professional character.

An experienced pastor was being hosted by a younger pastor and his family while attending a conference in another town.
After dinner the senior pastor thanked his hosts and stepped out into the backyard for a relaxing draw from his pipe.
A few minutes later the young pastor leaped out from around the corner he was hiding behind and declared. "Aha, I caught you, burning incense to the devil!"
The senior pastor replied,
"Yes, but I didn't know you would come so soon."
