Many times you put someone on ignore because their responses to your posts are falsehoods, mocking, and taking your words out of context. Since they are the offender, why allow them to continue offending?
1) Do you see the ignore feature as something that should give you the "power" to "punish" anyone who offends you?
2) Do you believe other members should have the "power" to "punish"
you "at will" if they believe
you have offended
them?
3) What do you do in a real-life situation where you find yourself in similar circumstances?
If, every time someone on here was offended, the offender was "punished" - the threads would be empty because everyone would be banned.
What if the "offender" is right in what they have said and you are wrong? Then what?
What if the "offender" is correct in what they have said - and, you are offended simply because you cannot handle the truth - what then?
You can't "administer at will punishment" on others just because you feel offended.
Sometimes, it is better to [just] "let God handle it" and move on...
