This election was the most consequential election of my life time. I hope that everyone took the time necessary to vote.

I'm cringing as I approve this because I know darn well that it's going to turn into a mud slinging contest.

All I can say is
keep it civil.

Everybody has said that about every election since I was old enough to notice what people were saying about elections. They always say it in commercials and they always mention this alleged fact when they start talking politics around the diner table.

This is the most important election of all time! Every single time.

*sigh---
I'm about sick of politics...the constant game of "GOTCHA" and false accusations of treason, nazi vx Marxist vx communist vx terrorist sympathizers ad infinitum.

Or 38 years ago so and so said and did something and just weeks before the election I remembered and now I wanna sue them for millions of dollars.

Gimme a break....really?

I miss the days before "Cancel Culture" where we ALL were simply Americans that felt united because we are Christians....
Politicians in general was considered a less than a dishonorable job someone had to do. But someone had to be the scapegoat.

Now these people are in charge and people are saying they are either heroes or villains...and their supporters are the same.

I can't promise to do anything to quell it, but I promise not to instigate. At least not too much.

This is true, especially in the South... especially in Alabama. 🤦

This is an attempt to derail the thread. Ignore if you must...

This is not a thread to instigate an insurrection. My intent is to take a look at the decision you made when you voted. The question is if you voted for Trump, was your vote for Trump or against Harris, or if your voted Harris, was your vote for Harris or against Trump.

Or did you vote for someone else (against both).

I voted today and am spending the evening watching the live results. So far, it's going well.

Keep an eye on Virginia....

Too close to call....and if she loses that state it's an embarrassment.

I do my best not to entangle myself in the affairs of the world. Selections are just another one of those things.

I've watched maybe two movies this year, one of them was just last night. The Jones Plantation. A must watch for anyone who hadn't quite figured out this system we are living in.

Okay, I watched Trumps speech last night and Kamala‘s speech today. I voted for the independent candidate. I’m excited for what is to come.

Unfair system in that in CA as elsewhere, the ballots have to be sorted, counted, boxed up and that doesn't get done til 10pm and the ROV gets loads of boxes election night, when the winner has already been called. I watch people rushing after work to vote, families w/children and disabled citizens make it a point to vote, and it ain't even gonna count, just for stats. Candidates aside it's a horrible setup and quite sad, whatever party side.

I voted for Trump and all things Conservative in my local and state of Colorado election. It was a great day for our country, but I'm saddened for Colorado and the things that were voted in; namely keeping abortion legal and taxpayer funded, but also the legalization of gay marriage. The government should stay out of all marriage in my opinion.

The majority of Colorado votes liberal, but I'm fortunate that my county still goes Concervative.

I did not vote for Trump. I won't say why because he is President now.
So moving forward I will pray for Him and those working with Him in the running of our country because that is what my God would want me to do.
I will keep and open mind and listen to his plans and pray for the best.

I do wish both sides will come together and stop the mudslinging and battling EACH OTHER and find the common ground to do what is in the best interest of ALL Americans, no matter what side of the aisle that they are on. A house divided shall not stand.

Matthew 12:25 Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.

I'll continue to pray for those who govern; at the same time I'll pray the Lord will raise up people with wisdom, intelligence and maturity. Mental instability has become the new normal in the US and I'm not confident we can bounce back. It'll take a miracle.

Just curious. Who did you vote for then if not Trump? And why????

I'm asking because people who hate Trump NEVER say who they voted for that they think will actually do better than Biden or Harris (who did nothing) during this term of duty.
