Jesus is the Way. He is the Word understood ACCURATELY.

Calvin was a good student of the Scriptures. It's those who followed him that gave us TULIP. Not Calvin.

So, what we now call Calvinism would be better to be called Bezaism, more appropriately named after Theodore Beza, who was a disciple of John Calvin. Those disciples were the ones who screwed up the thinking.

Do a search... " Theodore Beza gave us TULIP "
But in order for Jesus to be understood "accurately", we have the objective propositional truth claims of divine revelation. What would you know about the Messiah apart from the written Word of divine revelation?

Goosestepping dogma....
And I bear that slander proudly; for a disciple is not greater than his Master; and the Master was accused by the Pharisees of being the devil himself!

You're being dishonest. You drew a contrast between Calvinism and Jesus, as though Calvinists don't believe Jesus is the Way. The Doctrines of Grace are at the heart of Jesus' Gospel. Anything less is NOT the gospel.
You don't have doctrines of grace. you have doctrines of condemnation. There is only one gospel and Calvin did not write it. I am not the dishonest one here. Get over yourself. In fact, just take a look at how condemnatory your posts are. I never ever said you or anyone here do not believe in Jesus. Isn't that against the TOS? Are you trying to get me banned maybe? You cannot show anywhere that I said you do not believe in Jesus as the way for salvation.

You have already accused me of having heretical beliefs. Be careful I don't report you for such statements. Honestly, you people are threatening and just plain nasty.

You can easily lose the filling of the Spirit.
The gift is useless if one is walking after the energy of his flesh...

Just be dumb about what God's Word actually tells us, and you will be stepping out all the time!
David prayed that God would not take His Holy Spirit away, yet these people seem to think they control God in some way. Dumb, ignorant, deceived. Pick one. (or more)

Actually Calvinism is the Gospel of Gods Grace,TULIP so if you reject it as the way, you reject the way of Christ and Grace !
Anyone else notice how this particular poster just replaced the gospel of Jesus with Calvinism and called it God's grace?

Well...Calvin & Co. merely systematized soteriology with the Doctrines of Grace.

Oh...So the first recorded martyr in the NT was an evildoer? A false prophet? A false believer? And his murderers are your heroes?
Rufus? Can I have permission to quote what you just stated?

Jesus called it self righteousness.

Calvin died on the cross, to show us the new boss?

What part are you? the Co. et al? We are to keep our eyes on Christ who is the Author and Finisher of our faith. Hebrews 12:2 Calvin plays no part in salvation nor any system imagined in his name.

Since you broached those terms, now go stand in the mirror and answer this question: Was David a New Covenant or Old Covenant believer? Be sure to get back to us with your answer.

And what part of this truth can't you understand:

Rom 11:29
29 ...for God's gifts and his call are irrevocable.

NIV

And to what covenant does this truth apply: New or Old Covenant?

And finally, please tell us which of your above derogatory terms did freely choose for yourself? :coffee:

Calvin was God's gift to his Church at a critical time during church history. So...there is that...

You can feel free to answer my questions in 893, as well.
I feel free not to waste my time.

You are not as important as you see yourself being.

Your lack of credibility has been revealed in what you proclaimed.
And, too many see through your inability to grasp what you are shown.
and wishing to recreate what you want to see..

Its come down to...…

Why should I bother with you, when others here already see you are wrong.
And, those who line up with you? Make them know its group think, and nothing more.

I vote to change this thread title to "MISUNDERSTANDING GOD'S ELECTION".
Let's start with this CRITICAL question ...
Do you understand the deplorable condition of the human race?
i.e. that they are all born with an inherited sin nature
i.e. that they are greatly hindered by their mortal enemy,
Satan and his fallen angels (evil spirits, demons)

Paul was given the gift to heal. Right?
But?

2 Timothy 4:20
Erastus stayed in Corinth,
and I left Trophimus sick in Miletus."

Problem with your thinking...

You over simplify...
Snip out of context, and put a wall around it.
Then dig your heels in.
Then, go looking for cheerleaders to join in with you.

You are looking for a 'gang.'

Translate: Oh....due to my superficial knowledge of the scriptures, which runs about as deep as a mud puddle, I plumb forgot about the Old and New covenants and how radically different they are and that king David was an OC saint, as were Saul and Sampson who suffered loss of the Holy Spirit. My mind's in a blender; I just can't remember... But I'm just too dishonest and duplicitous to publicly confess my shortcomings.

And quit flattering yourself and your fellow comrades. The only things you guys have shown me is that you and your ilk will go to any lengths to pervert the Gospel of Jesus Christ because you have such unjustifiably high opinions of yourselves -- just like the Pharisees of Jesus' day.
