This is true. Even though I'm fully submitted to the Lord, to the Holy Spirit right now and living in obedience to Him in His power, God hasn't taken my free will away. I can walk away from Him even now if I still choose to. But I don't want to because I freely choose to commit myself to this fellowship. Like people do with all their relationships -that's why divorce and broken friendships still exist among Christians - God did not induce them - but Christians of their own accord broke those relationships.

This is the kind of fellowship the Lord wants - someone who is freely willing to stay with Him and live His way, not some robot who has no choice but to stay.

finally, someone who gets it the same way.
now give scripture.

I think, as you misunderstood me, that it is impossible to LOSE salvation. but it is probably possible to ditch it on the side of the road, so to speak, right?

No, you CAN lose salvation. If you walk away from the Lord, you walk away from your salvation because that salvation is in Him alone. It's not a "thing" you can keep and leave God. It's like being a part of a club. When you join the club, you get all the benefits of being a member. But if you leave the club, those benefits are no longer yours - you don't get to keep anything from it if you leave.

You believe in OSAS which will hurt your salvation. But if you're stubborn about this, God will just let you learn the hard way that it is false. And you'll regret the time wasted embracing this false teaching.

You want scripture? It is all over this thread. I like that @Pilgrimshope lists an exhaustive amount of them in his posts and explains them plainly and well, so you should study those and ask God to help you understand how to live in His power so you can grow in Christlikeness and overcome any habitual sins.

I just don't want you to go through what I did as a teenager. I will keep praying for you!

what the heck are you saying?
you are all going on and on about how wrong my idea is, and now that I agree you are trashing at me for that.
HOW DARE YOU INSULT MY PASTOR.
not everyone uses unfounded claims.
osas. blah blah blah. if you use an aronym, explain.
yeah stop selectively listening to me.
you say you read some of my posts, read all of them before assuming.
i used to "know" everything christian, but not have it, but that changed.
and if you say otherwise, I am calling you a catholic.
what did i say i have been told is not relevant?
of course, prayer is among the best thnngs to do for instruction.

now you may shut up. I am not getting back on this thread.

you are twisting my words and ignoring what i am saying and listening selectively instead.
Hey man keep the arguing down, okay?

I think if we look closely at scripture salvation is something we’re waiting in expectation for , rather than a possession we have . It’s really a promise that we would receive when he returns.

“so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭9:28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

salvation is something Jesus promised to bring to us who believe in the gospel and not something we lose or already possess.

“that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s a promise to those who continue in belief until the end. In that sense the premise “ can we lose salvation “ doesn’t really make sense when people ask it

But that's the thing about the Great Shepherd of the sheep...He doesn't lose any. Even those who go astray He goes and gets. According to Psalm 23, He takes care of them in this life and gets them securely into the Father's presence forever.
Mmhm

“But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath ( Godisn’t causing it they are ) against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

to them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

but unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; but glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: for there is no respect of persons with God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭2:5-11‬ ‭

if your actually reading my responses look above what’s it saying here to the church ? Is it saying Gods causing peoples behavior ? Or is it clearly saying he’s going to judge peoples behavior ?

God; Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

to them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

“unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness”

Does your interpretation of psalm 23 change what the church is taught by the apostle ? Or Jesus or the several quotes about this matter should we read psalm 23 then reject the New Testament doctrine ? See what pauls saying about judgement there ?

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the sheep follow the shepherd they don’t reject him and he doesn’t tie a rope around tbier neck and drag them

But David did write the lord was his shepherd so maybe the nt doctrine is all wrong when it explains thoroughly this stuff I’m not sure

Men are held responsible for their actions, but those in Christ have their actions judged at the cross. Their sins are forgiven them. As far as the east is from the west, God places them behind His back, and remembers them no more.

Temporally, Christians still experience the negative effects of their sin. No one is immune to the biblical truth that we will reap what we sow. But the motivation for the correction is different for Christians and non-Christians. The non-Christian is simply being righteously judged. The Christian, however, is being instructed. God is using the opportunity to help His people to understand the effects of their behavior on others. In this way, we become more sensitive to others making us able to love them as ourselves.

What I'm trying to explain is what it means to be in Christ. We are no longer dealing with God eternally on the basis of our actions. We are secure in Him. Our sins have been forgiven. This frees us to relate to God on the basis of relationship: Father and son. We have special access and favor not afforded to those who are not saved. We are treated differently from those who remain under condemnation.

so Paul teaching the church we all must be judged for our actions that’s all wrong because “ they are all judged at the cross “ which doesn’t ever appear in the Bible yet several repeated teachings say we Christian’s all must appear before God and give. An account be judged according to our deeds

we should forget what the scripture teaches and just claim we’re already judged at the cross ? Which again no one in scripture suggests it and they teach the opposite this seems pretty shaky

can we keep the arguing down?
I am also looking for biblical quotes. not convictions.
I fall firmly into believing that you can get unsaved, because I did choose not to accept christ. as a concious decision. like, i thought, i dont want it for myself. maybe someday. i believe it to be truth, but i do not accept the truth. I still care about others being and getting saved, but i myself do not want ti.
until I got saved, and truly believe his love now.
Listen, you can tell by these many pages that this is not the place to obtain an uncontested answer.

There are Trolls on the Net. And many of those gravitate to sites where Christians gather. They even pretend to be one. That is called Poes Law.

If you want the answer, look to the Bible.

The truth is Christians are sealed by the Holy Spirit a d are irrevocably Saved by God's grace alone. We are not saved because we chose to be on our own. God led us to his word,as The Word of Eternal Life, and allowed us to understand why. We do not choose this ourselves, as we are told. Because then we would boast we can choose God or abanndon God. And God is indifferent to that.

That's a lie.

Anyone you meet who tells you Salvation can be revoked by a Christian is lying to you.

When they claim to insist upon that being true while claiming to be a Christian they are lying to themselves.

While God is not a man that he should lie. Jesus said of all whom the father gives him,us,Redeemed Born Again Sealed Christians,he shall lose none.

None. And no,it does not mean we can choose to leave. God knew us before the womb. God put our name in his Lambs Book of Life,Eternal Life, before he created this world.

Trust that God knows what he's talking about.

Deniers of eternal irrevocable Salvation do not.

Gid be with you.

of course you will explain why this doesn’t apply again but see what you are saying there and here ?

“Temporally, Christians still experience the negative effects of their sin”

Scriptire doesn’t teach that anywhere ….this is what scripture teaches

“For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:26-27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that’s really plain and clear but because of hypergrace there’s always a reason it’s not right because you think it’s not true even when you read it plainly , it’s going to revert back to your own thoughts about it because some of you willfully aren’t hearing .

It’s like you read this

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

and reply we’ve already been judged at the cross well never be judged by our own deeds good and bad we’re just experience temporary pain when we sin ect but none of that can be found in scripture and the opposite riddles the pages repeatedly explaining judgement by our deeds

I sort of am starting to see that we’re wasting our time I think I could wuote every scriptire in the Bible clearly explaining we all have to face the lords judgement according to not deeds but it’s not ever going to register because you already k ow and don’t need to hear the scriptures they’ll just be uninformed somehow it’s not like it’s interpretation it’s just what it actually there Gods judgement will be exactly like I’ve quoted several times like the scriptures teach believers

“But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; Who will render to every man according to his deeds: to them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: but unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; but glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: for there is no respect of persons with God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭2:5-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we can pretend it’s not so and we’re “ judged by the cross “ but that’s untrue and will never move anyone to repentance and faith

The Bible doesn’t teach that it teaches what it actually says stuff like this

“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:23-27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Stuff like this

“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭13:3‬ ‭

stuff like this

“Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life;

and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:28-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If we reject Gods word and continue teaching the opposite it’s just leading people astray like we are warned in scriptire which causes people to reject and speak insult towards the truth

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭2:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

You should do what you advised and read the Bible more start believing what it actually says

Everything I shared is biblical. Romans 8:1 says there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. The verses showing that are sins are completely and utterly forgiven are easily found, as are others that describe the new covenant relationship that Christians share with God. Isaiah 61 is a beautiful description of this relationship.

Anyone who is judged according to their deeds will inevitably be condemned because all have sinned. Regardless of how little one sins, the fate is the same for all. To offend in any point of the law makes one guilty of the whole law. To those who are saved, Christ has become the end of the law. It no longer condemns the believer.

Naw it’s not biblical at all that’s not even the whole verse haha it says that’s for those who follow the spirit and put the flesh deeds to death we did that one earlier and you ignored it

but anyways brother you should one day ask why you have to reject so much of what’s actually there in the gospel and epistles like for instance what they all taught about judgement day it’s definately not that we were judged at the cross …..or that we’ll never be judged by our deeds ect instead it’s going to be what it says about that subject it’s always the same I hope you can acknolwedge it one day it’s actually extremely Important

All the verses you shared are only applicable for the unredeemed. Believers are made righteous by Christ and increasingly holy and obedient by the work of God in them. They live in patient continuance in well doing. They do not fit the description of those God pours His wrath upon.
You sin every day. Despite your best efforts, you continue to sin. Are you going to be judged for any of those sins and go to hell?

thats ridiculous it’s just a way to omit anything you don’t wanna hear Paul was writing to the church people who believed but didn’t ignore what Gods apostles were saying

They didn’t receive a letter and then go through the letter claiming this is for us but that thing no that’s for the “ unredeemed “ lol

“and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

Will you answer the questions I asked at the end of my last post?
brother that’s not my decision to make I have to face the judgement like you do and every one else. I believe salvation is like Jesus the savior taught. He will judge everyone when he returns some will go here based on what they did

“Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: ( he then explains thier deeds)

…Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: And these shall go away into everlasting punishment:( he explains tbier deeds )

but the righteous into life eternal.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25:34, 41, 46‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it’s always th same teaching everyone appears before his throne , are judged by thier deeds and either end up in the kingdom or not he’ll , but the lake of fire hell will end at the judgement

Your asking me to judge my salvation I won’t do it , I’m waiting for the judge to come as Paul taught

“But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self. For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord. Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭4:3-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

a of course if you ask my opinion lol I’m saved and Sonia everyone else but I’m not the judge Jesus is

“And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭17:30-31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The truth about all this stuff matter immensely to the outcome you find that in Jesus words.

brother that’s not my decision to make I have to face the judgement like you do and every one else.

I’m waiting until the lord comes like Paul said ….

“For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord. Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭4:4-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

when you have a court date ….do you decide what the judge will do before you appear ?

I believe that when Jesus returns I’ll have to do this

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:10-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

My rewards whether good or bad I’ll receive that day like everyone else in the nt time period.

“Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life;

and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:28-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I have. And you just proved my prior point about false teachers. Thanks for that.

Scripture harmonizes. It is a concise truth.

Your ideology makes both Jesus and Paul to appear confused. Yet, they weren't.

This may help you.
