I am not a Pharisee, Jesus dealt with their traditions in the seventh chapter of Mark and Matthew 12.

[Mar 7:1-13 KJV] 1 Then came together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, which came from Jerusalem.
2 And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault.
3 For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash [their] hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders.
4 And [when they come] from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, [as] the washing of cups, and pots, brasen vessels, and of tables.
5 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?
6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with [their] lips, but their heart is far from me.
7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching [for] doctrines the commandments of men.
8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, [
as] the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. 10 For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:
11 But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, [It is] Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; [he shall be free].
12 And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;
13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

This is getting a little long but here is another encounter, this time over the Sabbath traditions of the Pharisees with all of their man made rules verses the proper observance of the law of God:
[Mat 12:1-2, 8-14 KJV] 1 At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.
2 But when the Pharisees saw [it], they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day. ...

8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
9 And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue:
10 And, behold, there was a man which had [his] hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.
11 And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift [it] out?
12 How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.
13 Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched [it] forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.
14 Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.

In this thread we are discussing the Seventh day Sabbath of the creator and the discussion has moved into areas that may cause confusion, but if you follow the words of Jesus in which he is contrasting the traditions of men vs. the commandments of God you can avoid confusion.

God numbers days, the seventh day is the Holy Sabbath day, blessed by God. While the first day, Sunday is a tradition of man based on immoral pagan principles of sun worship and brought into church as a compromise between pagans and the apostate church which is the Roman Catholic Church.
Nor are you a sabbath law keeper per EX 31:14-15, "Observe the Sabbath... Anyone who desecrates it is to be put to death... Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day is to be put to death." (Where is a cop when you need him? :^)

We are not in a theocracy, judgement is now on the last day.

Not sure why you keep singling out the Sabbath that came with a death sentence. Many of the commandments did in the OT. Doesn't mean we can break them now like commit adultery. Why would we want to break anything that came with a death sentence- God asked us to learn from their disobedience Heb 4:6, 11

It would be nice if the sabbath pushers kept it between themselves and God.
@Inquisitor @ChristRoseFromTheDead @GWH @Gideon300 @Pasifika
"These people who are encouraging you to follow the Sabbath and God’s commandments are actually doing you a big favor. They're trying to help you reconnect with the teachings of Jesus, which many seem to have forgotten. You might know the basics about Jesus, like how He died for our sins, but there’s so much more to His message. He also called us to follow Him, yet many choose to follow other paths instead. It's worth reconsidering where that leads you and whether you're truly following His example."

Once you die and step outside of time and space into spiritual reality, there are no more Saturdays. We in Christ have died to the temporal world and live with God in the eternal sabbath. Repent of your unbelief and join us

The NT singles out sabbath law as not reaffirmed, whereas the law against adultery is reaffirmed in places like MT 5:27-30, but the penalty is hell rather than mere earthly death.

After seing here what transpires, people rejecting the words of GOD, the commandments that ARE the covenant, I now understand fully Moses's great anger at his people and why he smashed the stone tablets containing the Moral law!

Exodus 32:19-20:
"When Moses approached the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, his anger burned, and he threw the tablets out of his hands, breaking them to pieces at the foot of the mountain. Then he took the calf they had made, burned it in the fire, ground it to powder, scattered it on the water, and made the Israelites drink it."

Scripture says something different as does Jesus who kept the Sabbath and as a Christian, means to be a follower of Christ. Jesus kept the Sabbath in the NT Luke 4:16 and all of the commandments John 15:10 if we abide in Him we will aslo follow in His footsteps.

His faithful followers did that as well, according to the commandment.

Luke 23:56 Then they returned and prepared spices and fragrant oils. And they rested on the Sabbath according to the commandment.

Because

Heb 4:9 There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God;

The rest in this verse literally translates into Sabbath keeping

Original Word: σαββατισμός
Part of Speech: Noun, Masculine
Transliteration: sabbatismos
Pronunciation: sab-bat-is-mos'
Phonetic Spelling: (sab-bat-is-mos')
Definition: Sabbath rest
Meaning: a keeping of the Sabbath, a Sabbath rest.

To enter God's rest one also ceases from their works, as God did, on the seventh day

Heb 4:10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.
Heb 4:4 For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”;

The wages of sin is death, God is not talking about the first death on earth. He had done everything possible to and for man and when we reject His commandments, we are told we are rejecting God Rom 8:7-8 Eze 22:26

Two resurrections - one for the saints, the other for the lost. Our decisions we make lead us on the path we end up. Once Jesus comes all decision have been made Rev 22:11

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for [a]a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

Rev 22:14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

People do not realize the great parallel of Moses delivering God's people through the trials and tribulations of the wilderness to their promise land to what Christ is trying to do for us today to deliver us to His Promise Land and sadly, nothings changed, we are still a rebellious, stiff-necked people who reject the Words of our God.

This is obviously using using physical concepts to describe spiritual reality. It's nonsensical that everyone in the world will travel to Jerusalem every 7 days to worship God on Saturdays simply because it would be impossible. Like I said, you guys are carnal

Isaiah 66 is such a LOADED chapter about the Kingdom of the Son!

In the Kingdom of the Son of His love our time with the Lord never ceases because He indwells His people.

"And it shall come to pass
That from one New Moon to another,
And from one Sabbath to another,
All flesh shall come to worship before Me,” says the Lord."

Now, this was written to Jews who were used to New Moons and Sabbaths being specific days of worship to the Lord. And we should remember that this was written to Jews.

But in the coming kingdom of the Son the worship of the Lord is continual. There is no disruption. All days are days of worship: for example all days are like New Moon days and all days are like Sabbath days.

The Jews would have understood this: the kingdom that is coming is life changing; surpassing anything they have ever imagined.

V,

I will make the same bet with you that I made with SB: A million dollars that Rom 14:5 & Col 2:16 are correct in teaching that resting on the sabbath is optional for Christians.

"Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters. One man's faith allows him to eat everything, but another man whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables... One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind."

"Do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day."

Despite Paul instructing Christians to "make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification... whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God... May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus" (RM 14:19&22 and 15:5), it appears that some folks prefer the sound of a scratched record to that of harmonious music (EPH 5:19).

No betting please, I know it’s only an expression but it is painful.
[Mat 27:35 KJV] 35 And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.

[Psa 22:18 KJV] 18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

Can you reconcile these statements with these verses:
[Rev 22:2, 14 KJV] 2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, [was there] the tree of life, which bare twelve [manner of] fruits, [and] yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree [were] for the healing of the nations. ... 14 Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Carnal? In what way?

[Rev 22:1-7, 14-15, 18-19 KJV] 1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, [was there] the tree of life, which bare twelve [manner of] fruits, [and] yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree [were] for the healing of the nations.
3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
4 And they shall see his face; and his name [shall be] in their foreheads.

5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
6 And he said unto me, These sayings [are] faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.
7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed [is] he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. ...

14 Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15 For without [are] dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. ...

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book.

Hi, the Sabbath under the New covenant only come when we "believe " the Gospel. See Hebrews 4.
Is not like the Old covenant Sabbath of the 7th day where no one can enter into it as God declared in Hebrews 4:5

Understanding two covenants with it's law, commands, regulations etc is important.
