Pope John 23rd was the one that called the Second Vatican Council he treated all people equal becuase we were all made in Gods image and wanted a revival within the church everyone loved him he was nicknamed the good pope while Pope john paul the second wanted interfaith dialogue and respect for other religion. I didn't know about him kissing the Quran but last year he stood up for some of his fellow priest that were accused of crimes. This raise eyebrows world wide.

Most people look at Francis and think, leader of the Catholics, but your statement isn't false. Catholic means Universal.

Yes yes the catholics have a bad reputation but the truth is books weren't affordable to the majority of the public until the 1800s before that they were a luxury. A peasant would never be able to afford one in their lifetime. Then there the fact they couldn't read and even if they could read the Bible was in Latin.

Pope Francis condemned burnings of the Quran in Europe as barbarism. I don't know that he has missed the Quran.

While Pope John Paul did kiss it in May of 1999.

In non-ecclesiastical use, small "c" catholic means universal, this is true.

Whether or not the word is capitalized should inform us as to the meaning.

Majuscule "C" Catholic refers to the Roman Catholic church.

Probably should also add, Eastern Orthodox Church, and Oriental Orthodox Church.

I was banned from another site for telling the truth about the Roman Catholic organisation. I have nothing against Catholics as individuals but yeah, Francis proves my point.

When he says they worship the same God then that means he does not recognize that Jesus is God. No matter how you cut it that word is a denial of Jesus' divinity. That means he also denies the incarnation.

The Catholic church and the popes burning all the books and those who printed them certainly didn't make reading the bible any more affordable for those poor peasants.
