Well we are not like those that came before us huh. Well say we know Peter's in jail and we hear a knock on the door "its just Peters angel". This was all after Christ rose form the grave ... yes shouting time! They, angels are sent out continually to server human beings who are destined to inherit salvation. Org written.. "Not all are they ministering spirits for service bring sent forth on account of those being about to inherit salvation."

From what I gather they are not ours to command, to just sit and chat with they only obey the Fathers word. Haha but what I want to know is why was that their first thought and Hebrews.. I want to hear about the revelation by GOD about all this.....

Do you not believe in angels then? The Bible says a 1/3 of them fell to earth.that means there are 2/3 left with are Father and on earth protecting us. We are also given names of the Angels Gabriel and Michael so they are destinct and different from the holy spirit. I never thought of the holy spirit protecting us that way. It guides us and helps us with Satan's attacks it.
In Darlene Deibler Rose testimony she talks about an incident during ww2 where people were going to break into the bungalow but angels encamped around the house and the bandits were to scared to enter and steal from the missionaries.

I want to believe what the Bible teaches about angels, but I have not been able to figure out what that is beyond a few crumbs like those two you cited. Please share any more enlightenment you have gleaned from Scripture.

I dont agree. The bible mentioned the angels becuase it important. If God left out the angels then what should he also leave out our enemy the devil? God's rightoues so he states only truths and what right.

I understand the role of the devil sufficiently, but it is the rest of the angels I am more vague about.

A good place to see the o tee action of angels and mankind is in the old testement when they were mediating the covenant for instance one of my favorite Bible stories as a kid .

it was always funny to me that the guy is answering the donkey and arguing with him “ because you’ve mocked me ! “ lol why wasn’t he in shock tbat his donkey was rebuking him ? I’ve always just marveled at this factor of this story

i would have been speechless but he just goes on conversing with the donkey ha ha ha haha

anyways it shows how angels at times interact and intervene between God and man as spiritual ministers that work for man even when we don’t know any better God works with us but we have to eventually listen it took a lot for balaam but eventually he repented lol God through an angel to a donkey to a man who didn’t even realize what was going on

Non Christians are not heirs of salvation, so you are wrong.

Don't be disagreeable. Everyone but God is wrong. Furthermore.

1.) I wrote, "This post is to show the role of spiritual beings in the lives of people, both christians and non-christians." Spiritual beings, not only angels. So don't be quick to judge someone or what someone says or you'll end up wrong a lot of the time.

2.) Angels do minister to non-christians. There were no christians in the OT. And if you say, "Well, angels don't minister to people who aren't God's people," then remember the angel ministering to Balaam and God Himself ministering to a Pharaoh. There are many more cases. So don't be quick to judge someone or what someone says or you'll end up wrong a lot of the time.

I see the humor, but I also wonder whether angels have free will, do they need to be saved by faith, do they travel to earth from far away, will we be angels in heaven, do they still make genuine appearances, do they coordinate their role with the Holy Spirit, and so forth.

Yes, the rare disease she has sounds horrid. I just sort of stumbled onto that song last Friday night,
it was part of a compilation of the most popular song from every month since 1980, haha, I got to
2002 and have been listening to that song ever since! I designed the panel Friday night also... and
you know Céline is the face on the panel? Some people might not know what she looked like at any
time in her life. This Céline Dion song is just incredibly beautiful, and really embodies the perfection
of lyrics and vocal mastery I believe she has been striving to express her whole career, which has
really been quite amazing, all things considered. I am not even a real fan, although I can certainly

Thanks ValleyAnt. I like your name. I see Christians as being the ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation. I also see the Angel of the Lord as being Jesus the deliverer of the saints. Some might say that that cannot be, since Christians have a flesh body, and so did Jesus as well, but I believe the scripture is talking about those persons from the perspective that they are spiritual beings at their core. There are plenty of other scriptures that point to angels as being God's human messengers, with Jesus being the chief messenger. The word 'angel' is a word that means 'messenger'. That is what Christians are.

I actually meant to use this post to get to the topic of territorial angels/spirits that indeed 'minister' to people, for good or bad. Some comments overshot the intended purpose by a long shot.

You have God's angels and satan's angels-- both spirit beings. (Read 2Kings 22.) You also have other beings that can be called 'angels' as in 'messengers': eg. "To the angel (messenger, pastor, elder) of the church of Ephesus write..." (Revelation 2:1).

I never start out with a false premise. You just have to ignore the natural human need to make an immediate judgment (ie. to make sense of things immediately so there's not dissonance) and just wait. This thread isn't meant to be about 'angels' in that sense but about Jesus as opposed to evil territorial spirits. See? Who would've guessed that? So, you should guess about less so you can know about more.

I like Genesis, John, and Hebrews basically start with "God" and How Hebrews starts, "God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, in these last days has spoken to us by His Son." God spoke His Word (and will and ways) through many people before Jesus, but He made Jesus the Final Word making Jesus's example, lifestyle, teachings, and works the Pattern for everyone from His time until the end of time.

Things are different now in that we have received the holy ghost of we are in Christ and are meant to ourselves have a close intimate relationship with him . In the ot they needed angelic intercession we do not we have Jesus as our mediator with us by the spirit

it seems Satan was a high ranking angel beautiful in appearance important in heavens order and it is said that pride and vanity led to his fall from heaven desiring himself to take the place of God

and this was at least partly based upon jealousy that God chose mankind to rule the earth and not angels in the beginning man would be the hiers of salvstion and angels would be the ministers who served them and helped them along

Though I neglected to mention I chose the panel verses because of the angel song lyric:

This song is about the miracle of life and gift of love she experienced through the birth of her first son (all

Frankly, the doctrine of angelology has always confused me. What do angels do that the Holy Spirit cannot do Himself? Angels seem redundant or even in the way, and I find the NT references to them lacking in rationale and specificity, including HB 1:4-2:9 & REV--and therefore confusing. I will be interested in meeting them in heaven (so I can add that info to my website :^)

Don't look at it from the aspect of 'need'. God made angels and yet He doesn't need angels. And look at us. We exist. The premise shouldn't be based on human logic because by human logic, I think almost the entire Bible is obsolete or at least irrelevant.

I've made a lot of jokes about that. Maybe Balaam wasn't freaked out about a talking donkey because a.) he still lived in the time period when Eden was still fairly fresh on everyone's mind because before the Fall, animals and humans could communicate; b.) living in that part of the country and being 'prophetic', he was used to seeing strange things; c.) knowing how to manipulate curses against others, he had occult experience and had therefore seen animals and inanimate objects speak before (which does happen).

Those are helpful citations. I agree that the role of angels changed with the coming of the Holy Spirit.
