So we are to just ignore the word 'also' and the Greek meanings of these rests that show there are two different rests.
Hebrews 4:1 Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. 2 For indeed
the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, [
a]not being mixed with faith in those who heard
it.
Same gospel, same promise of rest. There are two rests in this passage, not one.
The rest here means this:
Original Word: κατάπαυσις
Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
Transliteration: katapausis
Pronunciation: kah-tah'-pow-sis
Phonetic Spelling: (kat-ap'-ow-sis)

Heb 4::There remains, then, a
Sabbath-rest for the people of God;
The rest in this verse literally translates into keeping of the Sabbath that remains for God's people, because God's people keep God's commandments- His version through faith and love.
Original Word: σαββατισμός
Part of Speech: Noun, Masculine
Transliteration: sabbatismos

Meaning: a keeping of the Sabbath, a Sabbath rest.
Heb 4:10 For
he who has entered His rest has himself
also ceased from his works
as God did from His.
So we enter into
Christ rest through faith Heb 4:2 and those who enter ALSO cease from their works as God did from His, on the seventh day, which is the Sabbath Exo 20:10
Heb 4:4 For
He has spoken in a certain place of
the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on
the seventh day from all His works”;
