We should follow the intention of the law.
Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exo 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
Exo 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

The intention is clear.
Keep the 7th day. Not everyday or sunday or no day.

But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God:

Wrong for insisting we are breaking the law/being disobedient if we don't join them in their law observance.
Not surprisingly you ignored the part of my post that addressed that.

Post where anyone said what you claim they e said there. Link the post.

i don't have any specific days of worship. i can worship on the 7th Day, The First day or any day as i feel the desire in my heart. so I'm not in a position to judge people based on what Day they worship on.
Eve was told that they may eat of any tree except for one. One specific tree that God commanded them not to eat of.

if Eve took your attitude "i can eat from any tree, The First tree or any tree as i feel the desire in my heart." She would of sinned very quickly. She did sin because she disregarded Gods commandment and thought her disobediance was nothing.

God said keep the sabbath holy, the 7th day and it isn't up to us to say Gods grace will overlook our disobediance. Or to say it doesn't matter or its what i feel like that matters. No God said it, we should respect it.

Deu 6:2 That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.

Ecc 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
Ecc 12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Why do you lie about Christians?

You clearly haven't read this thread. But bearing false witness? That's your priority.

That's sad.

Thou shalt not steal.
Thou shalt not bear false witness.

I can see why there are those who insist God's commands no longer apply.

I see you like to give advice because you have no use for it yourself.

Who was God addressing in Exodus 20? See verse 2. Also see Exodus 31:16-17; 35:1-2; Deuteronomy 5:15)

Sabbath keeping with all its rules and regulations, was part of a covenant with Israel (Exodus 16:23, 29; 31:12-18; 35:1-3; Leviticus 19:30; 23:2-3, 32; Numbers 15:32-36; 28:1-10; 29:39-40; I Chronicles. 23:30-31; II Chronicles 31:2-4; Isaiah 1:13; Amos 8:5; Nehemiah 10:31) that is not binding on Christians under the new covenant.

Colossians 2:16 - Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day— 17 things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.

Mixing and confusing the old and new covenants remains your Achilles heel.

Does scripture show the Sabbath is only for the Jews?
The nation of Israel was the only nation to receive the commandment to honor the sabbath.

That is what the Exodus text states.

I am certain that Rome and Egypt did not receive a written commandment to honor the sabbath.

And certainly not in a codified law.

Was it Gods plan for Adam and Eve to have other gods before Him. NO
Was it acceptable to make any graven image, or any likeness of any thing, and bow down thyself to them, or serve them? the LORD thy God is a jealous God and God does not change. No
was it acceptable to take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; No
Was it acceptable to forget the sabbath day, and not keep it holy. No
Was it acceptable for children to dishonour their father and mother? No
was it okay to kill? No
Was it okay to commit adultery? No
Was it okay to steal? No
was it okay bear false witness against thy neighbour? No
Was it okay to covet? No

God's character does not change and the moral principles don't change.

If these laws were were able to be transgressed and freely broken then the perfect world would have not been a a very nice place.
You need evidence from Genesis to support your claim.

You can't just make wild claims like every other church in history.

a) There is no mention of coveting in Genesis
b) There is no mention of taking the Lord's name in vain, every country had there own Gods anyway
c) I did not find the commandment to honor your parents
d) No commandment was given to honor the sabbath

To claim the ten were given to Adam is not supported by the evidence.

There is no record of a sabbath in history anywhere but in Israel.

Numbers 28 presents an overview of the sacrificial offerings and religious rituals commanded by God through Moses
to the Israelites, scheduling daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sacrifices... but Sabbatarians routinely lie about this.

I thought that all Christians desire to worship on the Sabbath.
Your eternal sabbath rest is in Jesus because Jesus fulfilled the law.

You rest from your works of the law because your under grace now.

As a Christian with the Holy Spirit you cannot sin continually.

1 John 3:9
No one who has been born of God practices sin, because His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin
continually, because he has been born of God.

Amen! Nehemiah 9:13 - Then You came down on Mount Sinai, And spoke with them from heaven; You gave them just ordinances and true laws, Good statutes and commandments. 14 So You made known to them Your holy sabbath, And laid down for them commandments, statutes and law, Through Your servant Moses.

Who is them? The Israelites. (vss 1-2)

Deuteronomy 5:1 - And Moses called all Israel, and said to them: “Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your hearing today, that you may learn them and be careful to observe them. 2 The Lord our God made a covenant with us in Horeb. 3 The Lord did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, those who are here today, all of us who are alive.. 15 and remember that YOU (the Israelites) were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought YOU out from there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm; therefore the Lord your God commanded YOU to keep the Sabbath day.

Why would a Christian condemn it when other Christians honor Gods Sabbath gift?
Because there legalists.

Because they condemn others for not obeying the law.

Because they say the mark of the beast is Sunday worship.

They make the mistake of not realizing that Israel was in covenant to obey the book
of the law. No other nation was a member of that old covenant. God only chose Israel
for that covenant.

For some unknown reason you ignore the covenants.

Well done, but they won't read that because it's not in the "The Great Controversy".

"Now, while our great High Priest is making the atonement for us, we should seek to become perfect in Christ."

The atonement is ongoing and not completed according to Ellen White.

A fundamental mistake.

Does scripture show the Sabbath is only for the Jews?
No,it doesn't.
You will encounter false speakers here and in every Christian online community.

It is better to read the New Testament for yourself first. Don't let others tell you what it means or says. The enemy of the Light that is Christ,Satan, has disciples too.

In Exodus 16 the Sabbath is referred to. In Exodus 20 God gives Moshe aka Moses the 10 commandments. The Sabbath day in that list is uniquely recorded compared to the other 9 that begin as, thou shalt not.

The Sabbath is recorded as a rememberance. Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy.

In the New Covenants Testament the first converts to The Way,which was the name for the whole of the Gospel teachings of Christ, were Jews. And then the Gospel was received by Gentiles. They all celebrated the Sabbath.

Read and discover for yourself this truth.

The Sabbath wasn't a command. It was a gift from God for man. Which is why what we read of it existing after the creation of the world is then recalled in Exodus as a rememberable of that.

There's a falsehood that claims the Sabbath was practiced nowhere else except for in Israel. Exodus 16 proves that is untrue.

Jesus gave his Great Commission to his Apostles. Spread the Good News into all the world.

The Apostles after Jesus ascended observed Sabbath. Therefore, they took Sabbath practice and teaching with them too. The Sabbath was made for man not man for the Sabbath.

Christians know the Sabbath gift was not a law. The Pharisees thought differently and prosecuted Sabbath observance as if it was.

Later you'll read the choice names Jesus afforded them for their behaviors.

In the meantime you'll read,if you read the New Testament, if Sabbath was an inviolable law of God then the Pharisees were right to charge Jesus and his Disciples with breaking it. Sinning.

Because Jesus and his Disciples did work on Sabbath day. Jesus and his Disciples did not sin. As he proved when the Pharisees confronted him with the charge of breaking Sabbath law.

If you want answers read the Bible. Don't get your theology from forums like this.
Because as it tells you, even Satan can appear as an angel of light.
And quote scripture.

At least with having read the Scriptures you may glean insight in how to know when that is who you are reading in Christian Communities Bible discussion forums.

As to coming into faith in Christ? That and eternal irrevocable Salvation is a free gift from God.
You can read Scripture and see if what people write about it is the same. As for coming into understanding of the things of God, that comes only from God if he so chooses to give his gift to someone.

Be well.

It isn''t just on Sabbath that Christ is known. so the grace of God is not limited in any way. The Sabbath is a window that allows me to put down the labours and trials that are normally a burden to focus all the more on Christ. The relationship we have with Christ everyday is individual (between Christ and ourselves), and taking time every 7th day sabbath does not take away from my weekly relationship, it sometimes requires faith but God always makes it a blessing.
My point was that keeping the Sabbath in the OT still required an individual to have faith in the rest of God in whatever capacity redemption was understood.

Worship is more than just go to church, singing, read bible etc. on a specific day. But its a moment where you feel the urge to seek Him and to worship Him from within i.e in the quiet presence of the Spirit.
This is true, it is a good idea to establish a daily (morning) schedule to start the day off with the Lord.

[Psa 33:1 KJV] 1 Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: [for] praise is comely for the upright.

It is a good idea seven days a week however meeting with like minded Christians on a weekly basis is prescribed by Paul as well.

[Heb 10:25 KJV] 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some [is]; but exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
