I'm 17, been using dxm (codeine), many types of painkillers and muscle relaxers, and alcohol for the most part for two years now on a everyday basis. I've already been in rehab and I've been on probation for a while and have stopped for four months. But, sadly, I want to use again and I don't want to stop. I'm growing more and more obssesed everyday and I am giving in. I don't know what to do. I am scared but at the same time I cannot help myself. One part of me wants to stop. The other wants to still use.

Thank you. Any positive words help. I am glad you saw my post.

God bless.

I battled addiction at one tme in my life.
I remember the hunger voice, I kept looking to Jesus and paising Him for His help.
That old voice was silenced , Jesus crushed it! :)
I am so greatful to Jesus for His help in this, He had already won the battle for me, I just had to rest in Him. :)

Keep up the good fight! :)

God bless.

I pray that Jesus occupies your mind , body and spirit. That you will take every thought captive to the obediance of Christ.
That the only cravings you have are healthy for mind, body and spirit. In Jesus Name Amen

2 Cor 10:5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Tripppppppeeee, I'm going to tell you the testimony of my best friend. We met when she was 16 and I was 18. At that time she was just doing alcohol, pills. Long story short. By the time we were in our late 20s she was addicted to heroin. She became a prostitute. All during this time she knew the Lord. She lost her daughter, went through several marriages and countless men. During that time she would enter treatment programs secular and christian (thank you Teen Challenge and Victory Outreach). She would clean up for awhile and give into temptation. She has been to prison, been arrested for practically almost everything and all through that she loved the Lord and the addiction just wouldn't stop. About 8 years ago, she woke up and said, Lord I love you, I belong to you, and I want to be pleasing to you. Please Help Me. This is a prayer she prays everyday. She never misses church, she has developed a system of friends to support her when she is tempted. She has been working with a Christian therapist for several years now to address the issues that cause her to self medicate.

The things I would say to you.
Is that God loves you, but you have to say NO.
Get some help. Get into treatment.
Stay in church.
Ask your friends, relatives, church body to hold you accountable.
Ask God to remove the desire!

If you knew the slow process that almost killed my friend. The beatings, sexual abuse, lost relationships and pain she (and her family and friends) endured because she thought "I can handle it... just this one time." You would stop right now.

I will be praying for you. My heart hurts for you because I have seen what an evil liar Satan is when it comes to little things like pills and drugs. Please remind yourself of this ... Those little pills are just as dangerous as jumping out of an airplane without a parachute.

You will be in my thoughts.

Lady T, God loves you soooo much! He desires you to be free to serve Him and him alone. Make the choice: Christ! He desires to deliver you, call out to Him. Jer 33:3 He will answer you; Pro 3:5 Trust in the Lord; 1John 5:14-15 you will have what you ask God; Rom 10:13 God will save you from anything. I am praying for your freedom, deliverance, healing, peace and Holy Spirit will comfort you. surround yourself with positive support systems (church, family, therapists, etc). I love you in the Lord and wil trust God with you and for you. You CAN beat this with Christ!

Lady T, God loves you soooo much. He desires to deliver you and to heal you everywhere you hurt. Jer 33:3 Call unto Him, he will answer you; 1John 5:14-15 you know He will hear and respond to you; Prov 3:5 Trust in the Lord and don't lean to your understanding nor yield to your feelings; Rom 10:13 God will save you from any situation. Choose Christ! surround yourself around with positive support (church, family, therapists, etc). Holy Spirit will comfort you. I believe God for your healing and deliverance, Love you in the Lord and will pray for you. Don't giveup on God, he's well able to deliver you but you must remain in Him.

Tripppeeee I prayed for you again today. I just want you to know that.

Trippee I am still praying for God to deliver, heal, and set you free. He is well able. Resist the devil and he'll flee from you. Seek Christ, maintain positive relationships, and trust God. Love you in the Lord.

Dear sister, I was once addicted to speed for a whole year. I was down to 97 pounds and having nearly constant chest pain. I would have died very soon if I hadn't quit.

I got away from all the people who did drugs and kept myself busy all the time. I spent time learning to play guitar, I spent time with people I knew didn't do drugs or drink. I found the best place for me was with people who stayed close to God, because they knew what the secret to success was. God will heal your desire to do all the things that will hurt you.

Of course we all fall down sometimes, but God is always the answer. You can not get close to God and stay sad !!!

Talk to Him, cry to Him, He will hear you, and He will help,
I promise !!! May God pour our His love upon you and give you joy, in Jesus name, Amen.

Love in Jesus Christ
