One night three years back i wanted to take my life. I had made many mistakes and bad choices throughout my life that brought me to a point where i was facing prison time. Just before my sentencing I had it all planned out how i would end things but instead of swallowing pills an overwhelming urge to turn away from my pill bottle on my knees and instead pray to God came about. With tears pouring down my face i told Him i was sorry for hurting Him and being such a failure in life and for all the bad choices i made throughout my life that affected so many people i loved and cared about. That unless He had a better plan for my life i was going to end it.... God had another plan...He had given me that heart of repentance, then placed His Word in my hands and His Holy Spirit inside (Ezekiel 36:26-27) So much has happened since that night but the most precious thing that i can say came about is my relationship with Jesus Christ (Romans 10:9) He who i use to shun away from and avoid as much as possible, now i could never breathe a minute away from Him. I did eventually serve 2 years in a federal corrections institution but in that time God used it for my good and for His purpose (Romans 8:28) I essentially used the time in prison like it was a seminary school. The desire to read the bible kept growing and growing. I studied in Gods word each day and He revealed Himself more and more to me (James 4:8) I was also able to help other inmates and fellow Christians who were struggling in their walk with Christ. Today i continue to study and show myself approved (2 Timothy 2:15), serving Christ was never a thought once in my mind years ago but now it's the only way i would ever live. Don't believe the lies that God dosen't care about you and your life. God cares and wants to give you a life of purpose and peace (Jeremiah 29:11) God is amazing in so many ways but the best way is in and through His only Begotten Son Jesus Christ (John 14:6)
May God continue to bless you and yours. (Numbers 6:24-26) Amen.

Brother JMH All people without Jesus are in prison! One may not see the bars but as you well know from others they are there. That which joins with them is everything bad! Hate, anger, regret, depression and worst of all no hope! (Acts 16:22-33) And so it is Jesus brought you to them. And when the cell doors open notice no one leaves! Where does one wish to go when Jesus arrives!! I am so glad for you brother!!
As you know the road is hard and long, but with our Jesus leading us, we can never fall into the pit again! Teaching others to endure to the end is a very hard teaching, because so many do not know how much testing the enemy will do to stop us. In my 71 years I have endured much, like so many I have had to learn many lessons the hard way, but I have learned! We attend Holy Spirit school, and only when we go to be with our Jesus do we graduate.

We will never stop learning and helping others in love to learn as we have. Again, May the Lord continue to give you his wisdom in all things, and may his love in you be shown as a beacon to both help and encourage others to follow. Blessing my brother in Christ!!(Jude 1:17-25!!!)
