The old covenant did fade away replaced by the new covenant established on better promises.

Heb 8:6 But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.

Still has God’s law now written in the heart based on the better promises of Him doing. Heb 8:10 through our love and cooperation John 14:15-18
But the written law is no longer valid.

God wrote His law into our hearts!

Not true.

Obviously you know that because you ignore the New Testament scriptures that prove you are wilfully promoting a falsehood.

Shame on you.
That is what the text states, Israel only was given the sabbath as a perpetual commandment.

There is no Sabbath command given in the NT.

The former commandment is set aside because it was weak and useless. You cling
to the ministry of death in turning back to those weak and worthless principles.
weak and useless? You will have a lot of explaining to do...

I guess it is common for SDAs and their ilk to create different definitions for words when they don't fit their narrative.

Just like when Bill Miller predicted the end of the world and it didn't happen. The group had to come up with some esoteric explanation that kept people in their seats. See more here: LINK

So, SDAs began using obfuscation and continue to use it when it suits their needs. Even when their star prophet is repeatedly wrong they continue on: LINK 2

Do us "normal" believers get any credit for NOT continuing to prop up people who have been exposed as frauds?
That's what happens when you blindly follow people.

No one is righteous and that includes Ellen White.

Follow Jesus and you can't go wrong.

@Magenta, @Aaron56 @Everlasting-Grace @Inquisitor

On the contrary the comments you make are written in books for judgment day! make no mistakes about it. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

Revelation 20:12 (NKJV):
"And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books."

Matthew 18:20 (NKJV):
"For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."

As long as I continue to keep the Sabbath holy I will continue to be much better than you.
Romans 12:3-8 New International Version (NIV)

For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.

God wrote His law into our hearts!
How can you say the Law is in your heart since you do not believe what Jesus said and follow him. Jesus was teaching the commandments that includes the sabbath, a sign of this covenant. Jesus did keep the sabbath. His death did not abolished the commandments but were the beginning of the new covenant. Some of us here do have these laws in their hearts but not you, no not you. If you had these laws in your heart you would Honour GOD on the sabbath day like he asks us do to and mostly because you do love him above else, this is the greatest commandment, to love your GOD with all your soul, mind and heart. This also means to Obey him as we all should.

Peace.

Yes, I have read this yet not one verse that says the Sabbath commandment was abrogated by God. If it was there, you would have pointed it out by now. We both know its not.
Indeed, but apparently only I know what I pointed out, which is now on my website under Controversial Issues (thanks to my favorite Judaizer for your help in hashing it out :^). It was:

7. Jesus declared he is Lord of the Sabbath and it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath in MT 12:1-12.

8. Jesus healed a crippled woman on the Sabbath in LK 13:10-16.

If Jesus thought keeping the Sabbath was an important law, he would have affirmed it on these two occasions, but he did not specifically nullify it either, which jibes/harmonizes perfectly with Paul.

9. Paul taught that a person may rest on the Sabbath or not in CL 2:16, GL 4:9-11 & RM 14:5.

10. HB encourages Christians to enter God’s Sabbath rest by persevering faith in 3:7-4:11.

Then please show me in the law where the priesthood could come from any other tribe but Levi.

This is what Heb 7 is addressing. Yes blood of goats and bulls could not take away sin as addressed in Hebrews 9 and 10 but Hebrews 7 is addressing the law of the priesthood.

Heb 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law. 13 For He of whom these things are spoken belongs to another tribe, from which no man has officiated at the altar.

14 For it is evident that our Lord arose from Judah, of which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood.
The priesthood under the Law has always come from the tribe of levi(Aaron) BUT under Gods Promise, the Priest must come in the order of Melchizedek. As it says: The Lord has sworn and will Not change His mind: You are Priest forever. Ps 110:4(Heb7;21)
You are a Priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.

It is because the Law made Nothing Perfect, Heb 7:19
so, the law has to change Heb 7;12

Suspenders isn't wrong in their remarks you quoted.
.Every person who is Saved in Christ is much better off than those who are not. Even Paul agreed.

I never said God's convent never changed.

It was established on better promises Heb 8:6 not better laws, because you can't make something perfect, more perfect Psa 19:7

God is the one enabling us to keep His commandment's- they went from external to internal with Him the one doing John 14:15-18 though our love and cooperation
Nobody is disputing what the Laws are or say, it is the purpose of these Laws that elude you.

There are two laws, the priesthood laws under the Levites was what was written in the book of the law, not the Ten Commandments.

Deut 31:24 So it was, when Moses had completed writing the words of this law in a book, when they were finished, 25 that Moses commanded the Levites, who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord, saying: 26 “Take this Book of the Law, and put it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there as a witness against you;

This is what was written and put beside the ark. Not what was inside the ark God’s eternal Ten Commandments.

Hebrews 7 is addressing the law of priesthood because the law said all priests needed to come from Levi because the Levites were the only ones who were faithful while Moses went up to get the Ten Commandments. Jesus coming from the tribe of Judah caused an issue under the law so the necessity of the aw had to be changed, which is what Hebrews 7 is all about.

There is a law that not a jot or tittle can be changed and a law that was temporary. We already see in the law of Moses the priesthood changed, animal sacrifices changed which means that is not the unchangeable law Jesus was referring to. It is obviously the Ten Commandments written by the finger of God, the laws Jesus quoted from when He said not a jot or tittle can be changed Mat 5:18 because He promised He would not alter His Words Psa 89:34. At some point we need to start believing God and what He taught, everything else really is only a snare that I fear will not end well according to the Words of Jesus Christ Mat 7:21-23 Rev 22:14-15

We don’t have to agree, thats okay, but our time here is short and once Jesus comes back all decisions are final Rev 22:11

The purpose is not for us to break the least of these commandments and place our faith in what Jesus taught and lived Mat 5:19-30 John 15:10 1 John 3:24 1 John 2:6 because Jesus wants to free us from the bondage of sin that unfortunately just like many of the Israelites, wanted to go back to Egypt (bondage) instead of being free in Christ. But not everyone wants to come to the light and following in the footsteps of Jesus, sadly. All are called on, few are chosen because few respond.

You seem to believe in a “Relative” righteousness, God requires perfect righteousness, and if you fall short- then you are in need of a Savior, like the rest of us.
