I've already been through all of the points you've raised, probably with you.
The seal is given when someone, as a result of salvation, truly believes. Believing doesn't bring salvation; it comes from salvation.
Being indwelled by the Holy Spirit is different than being sealed and occurs when someone is born-again through salvation.
DT 20:19 was a choice given under the Old Covenant of works, which choice, is one of the covenant's required works.
In the New Covenant, however, no such choice on the part of the recipient was permitted. God made all of the choices - it was/is a unilateral covenant. The "all" of 1 T, 2:3-4, represents "all" the Father gives to Jesus for salvation. If the Father desired everyone to become saved, He would then give everyone to the Son, but He doesn't. It is on the basis of having been given to the Son, that specific individuals become saved. Those who are given, cannot, not, become saved; those not given cannot become saved. MT 23:37 is speaking about God no longer using the corporate Jewish church to manifest His true salvation message due to their spiritual fornication and the worship of other Gods in failing to recognize Jesus as Savior. That is why MT 23:38 says "your house is left unto you desolate". Their "house" was left desolate because God moved the teaching of the salvation message away from their house - the Jewish corporate church- making it desolate that no one would/could be saved through it - and placed it into the hands of the disciples. The "calloused" heart ETC, represents the unsaved heart. When, and if, someone becomes saved, through the New Covenant, a new heart given them by God. The same with the eyes. Notice that Mat 13:15 says "but blessed are your...' that means their eyes first had been blessed, in order for them to be able to spiritually see, spiritually hear, etc. Only from that blessing, were they able to do so.
Believing is fallible, so we need to believe whatever harmonizes with whole of GW, beginning with God's all-lovingness, but you do not even affirm that truth! Instead, you say that 1TM 2:3-4 teaches God loves only those the Father gives to Jesus in direct contradiction to it saying that God loves and wants to save ALL people!!! You rant about God hating most of humanity, because God's love even for His enemies must not be in your heart. Sad, making being indwelled and sealed by the HS problematic. Beware the one who can appear as an angel of light.

Correct. I do not believe that in the spiritual sense, God's lovingkindness is extended unto everyone but only to those He chose to be justified by Christ and He does not do so for everyone. If salvation were intended to be for all, then that which would make anyone a candidate for it, would be by their works - whether it is in believing and/or other. Yet we are told salvation cannot be by works but only by God's grace. Therefore, the only way for it to be by grace is if those to be saved were elected to such by God outside of their efforts; that is, without such a thing as the doctrine of election, there could not be grace, otherwise, it must be by works, and our works for salvation leads not to life but to death, and sets Christ as the Savior at naught. I think the problem is that you don't truly comprehend the role of Jesus Christ as the Savior, in salvation,

Yeah I get tired of correcting the same wrong doctrine making sure to include all the details of your personal take on TULIP.

Here fixed

I stated who believes and trusts (which is also part of the concept in Greek) in the TRUTH of what Christ Jesus offers, see it is a personal action.

But you deny the individual moral ability to respond positively to truth and you also assert we are born morally incapable of responding positively and this is not established in scripture when all verses that seem to support this when take out of context are exegeted in context!!

That is God's provision to humanity ... born with personal volition to respond positively to the power and truth of God's words and the Gospel message and this is established in scripture....

Your doctrine has not no Gospel to offer anyone.

I will just make sure to cut an paste it the exact some way so all the bases are covered.
What's wrong with you? What on earth gives you the AUTHORITY to TELL him what he thinks and believes? You guys have gone off the deep end with no water wings. You need to check yourself.

Only the fact he has stated several times and defends it.
Not sure what is the issue, maybe when all the syrupy language is removed the underlying real tenet is not so appealing anymore.

I find your statement quite ironic really considering that post you directed at me by mistake. lol

Your posts show that you don't truly understand. You say things that are patently and demonstrably false with assurity and conviction. You say that you don't understand how someone could believe this or that. How can you say you understand it?
The plan of salvation decalvinized is the Truth. I just strip away all the layers of intellectualizing if one can call it that.

So far you have not demonstrated anything to repudiate what @cv5, @Kroogz and others, who know the truth and proclaim the simple Gospel of hearing and being able to believe, be persuaded, etc.,
not one time has it been proven false by your out of context proof texts.

Sorry, Adam running and hiding and all the other verses in no way rises to the level of declaring affirmatively that fallen man is wired to respond negatively, throughout all time and in every situation, to the Gospel unless God gives belief or regenerates first.

Not found in scripture anywhere.

Paul makes it clear in context (I notice how the clear passages are never dealt with) he chose to respond affirmatively.

Therefore, O King Agrippa, I wasn't disobedient to the heavenly vision, but declared first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all the region of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds in keeping with their repentance.

Since I've been unable to get an answer from anyone else, perhaps you can tell me how Rahab knew that God had given the land to the children of Israel.

Hey @CommodoreTeach you were tagged!! :)

Gonna brag a little to diffuse my headache ... I have a Mac Book Air, was convinced to buy it and I am really liking it.
I really hate Apple products overall but I think this was the better purchase .. still miss those Commodores though.
They were a challenge alright!
I was ever frustrated because whenever I encountered a problem, I couldn't be sure if the tape itself was damaged, or it was a read error during loading. Things have come a long way.

Your belief is not a work. The only place belief is described as a work is in JN 6:29, "The work of God is to believe in the One He sent", but EPH 2:8-10 clarifies that we are saved by grace through faith, NOT of works,--which follow genuine faith, so salvific faith in Jesus is NOT a work but merely the non-meritorious acceptance of God's work. Get it? Are you free to get it/LGW or brainwashed by the angel of light to pervert God's loving Gospel per "God's lovingkindness is extended only to those He chose to be justified by Christ".

Gret a grip in reality man. This is a war-time scenario.

The Canaanites had spies, intel, and likely copies of the very scrolls that the Hebrews had, not to mention their own historical records.
But more than that, the collective 400 year old legends they knew (all of the nations roundabout as well) were all coming true right before their very eyes.

They knew. They ALL knew exactly what was going down, every last one of them. It was all-out panic.

[Jos 2:10 KJV]
For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that [were] on the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed.

========================================================

Yes, I know that you would love to conjure up some Calvinite hocus pocus and spooky gnostic super-determinism into all of this, but nope. Never going to happen.

They all knew they were coming. She knew the outcome. Why would she believe that they could even take Jericho? No one else could. The Israelites didn't even possess the requisite armaments to take the city apart from God's intervention. How did she know God would intervene?

No, that means that true faith is a gift from God, by which, it not a work, and makes it consistent with Jhn 6:29, with it being
stated as God's work. Any faith that man produces through his own efforts, by that, it becomes a work because he must produce it. Were it otherwise, the verse would be incorrect as written. Did you not read the verse - that salvation is a gift? If a gift, then everything that goes into the gift are parts of the gift.

She didn't seek spiritual life, yet she was given it being one of God's elect which happens to all of the saved.
There are two levels that are involved: the spiritual and the earthly. She was given life in the spiritual,
and that life manifested itself into her earthly actions, without which, she wouldn't have done so.
You see only earthly result but are unable to comprehend/recognize spiritual cause.
There you go again barring the door to a salvation that is free for the asking.

The truth is that this woman could care less about your Calvinite gnosticism. And she is better off for it.

And do you know what I think? I think that Calvinites intentionally set themselves up the modern day Pharisaical gatekeepers.
They bar the way to salvation, and deny entry to anybody that does not submit to their superior spiritual insight and authority and gnostic superpowers of discernment.

Luk 11:52
“Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge. You did not enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in you hindered.”

One of the tricks in the Calvinites bag is to call everything a "work", and thereby deny a salvation that is free for the asking.

Will, violation, choice are INHERENT ASPECTS of simply being alive, and are attributes that God has intentionally endowed upon His created beings. Including the holy angels, Satan and his host, and the sons of Adam, even animals.

The Calvinites are gatekeepers and deny and steal even these very fundamental attributes that God gifts to all men.

[Deu 30:19 KJV]
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, [that] I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

[Eze 33:11 KJV]
Say unto them, [As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

You did. "You heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit." (EPH 1:13)
Yes, I heard because God raised me from the dead to give me that ability. Only the living can hear! The dead cannot.

Rog, don’t you see how wrong it is to say that God hates most of humanity?! The solution is to meditate on the truth that accepting grace by faith is “non-meritorious” until it sinks into your heart.

Except for Rahab, the Gibeonites, all of the Canaanites, their kings, all of Jericho, Nebuchadnezzar, a bunch of Persian kings, the widow of Zarephath, Naaman, the third captain of the fifty, a Roman Centurion, a couple of Roman soldiers at the Cross, a thief on a cross, and the list goes on....

All of whom knew perfectly well the word of truth that the God of Israel is the true God.
In fact all of the nations surrounding Israel knew beyond any doubt whatsoever that the God of Israel is the true God.
They could CHOOSE to accept this fact and align their lives accordingly, or not.
And either enjoy the results or suffer the consequences.
They "knew" in their mind but didn't understand in their darkened hearts. Nor did they seek God. And they didn't seek him because they had no fear of the Lord before their eyes. Only God-fearers can understand spiritually because the God-fearing abhor evil and abstain from it, while pursuing righteousness and justice, etc.
