My problem is a little serious but i am too afraid to discuss it with people. I think my husband tried to poison me yesterday. I need to figure it out will you help me figure it out i am a christian

I grew up with a father who was a monster. If he wasn’t beating us, he was telling us how stupid we were including my mother. I hated him and wanted my mom to leave him. But, she stuck it out for some reason. You need to get away from him! There are shelters that will protect you! He will never change no matter what he says. Get away! And, if you suspect that he tried to poison you, you need to contact the authorities!

I understand, i have left him 3 times in the past i am disabled i wear a cochlear implant i am deaf, i can hear in the phone with a special device i was not able to become financially independent i am too afraid to leave i did stay at shelters the last time for 1 month there are no resources for a deaf woman but i trust God also

No i am 67 my children are adults they have helped in the past but they are all very loyal to their father they would never believe me my husband has a powerful personality that makes everyone love him

I have nursing training i almost finished school as an RN in spite of my deafness so i looked up my symptoms, that is why i am suspicious i will tell you what happened

Yesterday i had cold symptoms during the day my husband ran out and bought a bottle of medicine from the vitamin store i took 1 teaspoon of it some time after that i experience stomach symptoms and nausea that was so severe like i have never experienced in my entire life i felt like i was dying i was in shock at the pain, for the first time in my life i thought of the scripture that talks about how Christians will not die if they are poisoned no matter how bad the pain i knew i was going to live through it because of that scripture. The next morning, today, my husband told me he threw away the bottle, he said maybe it was the cold medicine that made you sick so i threw away the bottle, i thought nothing of it, later this afternoon i realized that there was nothing i could think of that would cause my symptoms, so i looked up the most common symptoms of poisoning and my symptoms were the same.

I decided to look for the bottle to take it to get it tested and then i remembered he threw it out.

Sounds very suspicious! If it were me, it would not take anything that he gave me to eat or drink! And, it would some how get anything that he gave me tested. You did good thinking that way! So, what are you going to do?

Yes, i will never accept medicine from him again, but i would get a blood test immediately when i recover, thank you for helping process this i will pray on it for guidance tomorrow

Wow. That is serious. If you were poisoned, then I would think that there would still be traces of it in your blood or somewhere else. Do you have the ability to go and have tests done at the hospital or at your doctor's office without your husband knowing? Also, is there any way for you to retrieve the medicine bottle from the trash?

The best ways (other than through prayer) to find out whether or not it is true would be to see if there are any traces of poison in your system, and if there are, then to have the contents of the medicine bottle tested, if you can retrieve it.
Btw, I feel horrible for my attempt at humor earlier. Had I known what you are going through, I would have never gone that route. That was definitely a lack of discernment on my part, and I apologize for that.

Hi Juniee, glad the Lord led you here to CC, welcome! I agree you should get a blood check asap to put your mind to rest. Some chems vanish fast in the blood so try and find the bottle for backup.
