I know I am born again but I am not feeling the Lord's presence like I want too.!
Eight days, my Mother, whom many of you prayed for, went home to be with Jesus. I have felt overwhelmed with grief but now I feel numb. I want to feel something to validate for ne my great love for her! Finally, I do not have all the finances in hand for my Mom's burial. I have depleted my retirement and basically all my assets, and my coworkers ha e raised mony through a gofundme but I still may be short.I beg your prayers!!!

Your mind and heart are understandably unsettled with all that is going on. But you still need to find the calm within the storm. When you have opportunity, get alone, be still, and turn your mind and heart towards God. As you do this, you will sense first His peace, and then His presence. You are cumbered by too many concerns to feel His nearness.
Read Luke 10:38-42. Spend some time at Jesus' feet.
Praying for you.

I too lost someone very close to me I know that feeling well it was about three months ago I was very close to this elderly woman named shirly she was not in good health skin and bones looking I visited her often and I somehow knew the day she was going to pass her last words to me was don't forget me I think she knew too.

I told her all that awaited her in heaven and told her to give Jesus a hug for me she passed on that day when I went to take a nap saying to Jesus to take her for me because she is very precious to me I woke up and she was gone.

It took weeks to get better and I couldn;t stop the tears but my dear friend let me show you where your mother is right now magicstudio-art (11).jpg

well that certainly can lead to quick grief & a bad mood. don't let the devil have his way with you feeling depressed, stressed, sad, etc. think of what you enjoyed with your mom, all the memories, the smiles & joy. i wish for you blessings.

Thanks to everyone who responded and posted a reply. I'm taking to heart what all of you are saying and leaning on Jesus. He's the only way I can deal with all of this!
I can report a financial blessing. It seems there are now enough resources to cover funeral expenses! The Lord used people to help snd I had enough assets.Only He could have made it happen!!!

praise God I am so glad things worked out for you it seems God is on the move and yes clinging to him is the best way to overcome grief.

I like to listen to worship nusic and sing praise to God nothing beats down a troubled heart better than a heart felt worship session

Thank you it was hard but a wise man once said don't pity the dead pity the living and I will meet her there one day I certainly won't forget her

Praise the Lord for meeting that need!

I will pray for you. I also lost my Mom recently. It's not been easy. So much that I would not have survived without the Lord. He used friends, brothers and sisters here to encourage and pray for me . I pray you are strongly comforted by the Holy Spirit.

Praying for you,too! This is the hardest thing, I've ever faced! Yes, relying on the Spirit's comfort! I, in addition to reading the Word am reading a book about Heaven by a woman who was shown things about heaven by the Lord. As I am reading it, I try and imagine my Mom there and what she is experiencing. To know she is no longer in pain and suffering and is reunited with my Dad and Grandma helps, but sometimes it's as if my heart is pierced through!All I can say is the Lord is faithful and He alone can heal our broken hearts! I pray you feel His presence so strongly and are blessed with reminders of your relationship with Mom and encouraged about the time you will be reunited!

My precious friend I am so sorry for your loss we all seem to have lost people precious to us thank God we have each other to comfort and encourage each other you are in my prayers as well

As if your heart is pierced..... yes I know that feeling sometimes even as if your soul itself cries out in anguish do not worry I have also seen things in heaven and I can tell you she is looking down on you lovingly she is home.

It takes time for these things to be worked through. Feeling numb is a normal part of passing. It is not easy but normal for many. Keep praying! God will see you through this! He love you and wants you to be close to him! Even through hard times. Even more so in the hard times! Thank you Jesus that you are there right now. I am asking that all the details for the funds are worked out just the way you want. Also that you would be lifted up in this situation and show who you are! Thank you Father!!

Thank you, I needed that! It has been an exceptionally hard day today! The financial situation did work out and I'm grateful.
