I do generally sympathize with victims: but being a victim by itself isn't a virtue. How we behave in our victimhood matters. And not all victims do necessarily deserve our sympathy. You can only cooperate with an aggressor so much before you become a co-conspirator.This is why I believe men do not empathize with female victims.
It doesn't have anything to do with stature. My stature isn't going to save me from Goliath, or some guy with a gun. Not having "stature" isn't going to prevent a woman from calling for help. A death-threat isn't an excuse not to call for help: a death threat is a reason to call for help in defiance of your attacker..
