That's the first I've seen an actual photo of an unborn baby. Are the hospitals hiding these?
Let me see if I can help you understand this better...

I am pretty sure it is a very rare occasion that a woman goes to the hospital during her pregnancy and says:

"Hey - I would really like it if you would push something up inside me that is considerably longer than the thing that started this whole process - risk putting a hole in the amniotic sac - or doing physical damage to the baby - so that I can have a closeup picture of my baby's face before the time of birth."

(Things like this are normally only done in the context of medical/scientific research - or, let us be honest - during an abortion procedure.)

"Hey - I would really like it if you would push something up inside me that is considerably longer than the thing that started this whole process - risk putting a hole in the amniotic sac - or worse, somehow doing damage to the baby - so that I can have a closeup picture of my baby's face before the time of birth."

That might explain it.
However, it seems there are a LOT of mother's who simply trust the stranger with the authority figure scrubs to do whatever he tells her.
Even ultrasound poses risk .
They inject newborns with many contaminants and they rarely question procedures like c sections of convenience.

It's just strange that it's the first time I've seen this considering the Drs and hospitals, with given exceptions, constantly perform dangerous life threatening procedures.

I refused to go to a hospital for chronic blood loss this past summer fall. Why?
I won't let some sodomite Dr put any device into me to see where the bleeding is coming from.
I already diagnosed myself. I will not allow surgery which will cause even more harm and trauma.

The inept queer md could possibly tear the Colon or trachea. It's a common occurrence in those they subject to their filthy unskilled search for polyps or tumors.
They don't even sterilize the camera and tube.

I was thinking the same as you.
Perhaps this preceded an abortion, but I don't want to assume it is considering my other statement.
I hope this picture is shared with expectant mothers who are considering an abortion.
Perhaps they will reconsider.

Seems reasonable and the first thing that came to mind too.
Then I thought about it more.
My reasonable earned bias against MDs in general right now is just below dirty politicians.
