1st, none of this posting is derogatory. my greatness, i taught you all of the above & you tell me i'm not aware of the human mind! you are focused on defeat. listen to yourself: "unlikely....do those things..... if miserable"! that is proclaiming defeat & an unwillingness to initiate self help. do you think i am joking how i helped myself & cured many problems? i started my landscape business with a partially broken Craftsman 18" mower. no help from anyone, including no help with money from anyone. & you admit self deception which means you are refusing to believe there is help. a realist Christian? holy heavens, you are the opposite! what is real, a person helping him or herself, becoming productive & a success or someone with an attitude like yours? if you are praying & asking & not receiving it sounds like you are praying in doubt. it is impossible for a Christian to ask & not receive. someone may ask Jesus for something & not receive because the asking was not in the name of Jesus, ( John 14:13,14 ). you seem to have a large supply of negativity, defeat & lack of ambition. why don't you think you have to have licenses, permits & certificates in the u.s.a.? i have a Certificate of Authority to collect sale tax, a DBA, permit to apply fertilizer, all proper truckers licenses & insurances. you are definitely missing out on some important elements of success. i apologize if i'm to direct & extreme. i really do apologize. my very strict regiment has given me great success. this next part, i'm not telling you to brag, but: my wife & i are going on a 2 week cruise this winter to the Caribbean & it's of the higher level. we also dine at gourmet restaurants & those dinners can be $500 to $600! here in the u.s.a., a lack of ambition is rampant. been that way for decades because the government gives away too much too often. they don't observe 2nd Timothy 3:10. well, i sincerely hope you enjoy a merry Christmas!
Its nice it worked out for you. I get your point. But in regards to the human mind, I have already tried journalling, self-help books, task setting, daily card lists, and computer modelling, basic web-design/basic programming, game design, electical/electronic engineering, motor vehicle, medical electronics, welding, and more. I have a bad ankle so i cannot dig or carry whilst moving heavy weight/action etc. So your role is not suitable for me neither is labouring.

Certificates meaning, I cannot do electrical as it requires a fulfilled apprenticeship, same with motors etc. It is not allowed to run a business at home unless it is silent and clean so no welding etc. And all require experience before hiring, only college courses are not enough. This is the pattern in the uk. Train first, hope for an apprenticeship, if not, wasted time.

And no prayers are not always delivered because we do not know the will of God. So if I pray for a job or money or direction, and God wants me to wait and not have an answer for some God known only reason, I get nothing and wait / have no delivery. It is so slow im getting old and tired to even bother praying due to no results. If I recieve nothing, it seems better to not pray for myself anymore and only others. Im obviously not good enough to have / do / be / give / help with anything. Maybe too addicted to the world and supposed to be poor like a monk who knows. No one is telling me. Not to be mean, but I do not celebrate pagan festivals. But I appreciate the sentiment.

Is it possible to delete this thread, it is not really productive for anyone?
Usually we just let unwanted threads sink into obscurity.

But I can ask the moderator to delete it if you want.

Is it possible to delete this thread, it is not really productive for anyone?
Threads - or individual posts - are only ever deleted for rare "special cases" - as for the rest, I believe, they are purposely not deleted for the simple reason of encouraging everyone to think before they post - to have purpose in their communication - not to create "regrettable" content.

~

What exactly-and-precisely is it that you want from-or-out-of this thread?

I "get it" that you are not receiving the "answers" you are looking for from this thread.

I can see that - the more information you give us about your situation - the less likely are some of the assumptions that folks have made so far at a time when they did not have enough information [yet]; however, they made their assumption(s) based on what little information they had at the time.

It is a natural tendency in human nature to draw a conclusion from the available information while assuming details not known at the time to "fill in" the parts of the 'picture' that are 'undefined'.

This is in part why you have "received" some of the posts that have been made thus far.

So - please do not be too quick to judge those who "judge you" as trying to be mean to you - at least some of them are actually trying to help you - only "with little information to go on"...

And - everyone else - please do not be too quick to judge the OP of a thread such as this one as being lazy or whatever until you have enough information to properly arrive at that conclusion.

Many of the details of the OP's story "resonate" with my experience of the past - I understand very well, at least in part, where he is coming from...

Anyone who has a bad ankle and is working 'physical' jobs that are difficult and distressing to the body is not simply being lazy. I can see that clearly.

To go along with what you said in post #32 that seems to suggest that God put you in your current situation to help you overcome a 'weakness' - is there any imaginable possibility that it has also strengthened your ankle?

I ask this in part to say this - look for the things where God is trying to help you - to prepare you for whatever is next. And, that does not necessarily mean a more intense physically-demanding job. As you indicated in post #32, there are psychological, mental, and emotional aspects to this situation - not just physical ones.

Look for where God is working in your life - and pray that whatever He is wanting to accomplish is nearly complete - so that He is ready to move you to the next stage - while asking Him to help you understand enough of what He is doing such that you can wholeheartedly "join with Him in His plan" and do whatever He is wanting you to do - so that you can more quickly reach the point of moving out of your current situation on to something better.

While you are waiting on God to move you forward, do not loose sight of the possibility that you may be in the situation you are in just so you can be a witness for Christ to some of the people you work with or around.

As difficult as it may be - try not to focus so much on yourself that you "miss" what is going on around you - "greater things" may be close at hand just waiting for you to see and recognize them for what they are.

Do whatever you can do in your current situation - being as patient as possible - praying always-and-continually for "deliverance" from it.

This may sound like a silly question, but - are there any other agencies you might be able to work for? Is the one you are working for the only one available to provide opportunities for temporary-or-longer work?

Have you looked into medium-to-long-term work-from-home opportunities that may give you the relief you desire from heavy physical demand?

Keep in mind that - if you have little-to-no regular physical exercise from daily work, you need to obtain it from something else for good health.

I know all-too-well that being in this kind of situation can be incredibly difficult - "been there and done that" way too many times...

You are not a "loser" - you are caught up in a situation that has been thrust upon you by "the worldly way"; albeit, it may be upon you in part because of mistakes you have made in the past. If you need to make corrections in your own attitude, etc. - do so with the help of the Lord for your personal growth. Ask Him to show you how you can make "self-improvements" in your own attitude, etc.

I know that being in such a situation can weigh heavily on the mind, heart, and soul - "hold fast" until the storm subsides.

Thank God for every little blessing that He provides. Be grateful for what you do have. Help your parents in every possible way you can.

Look for ways to help others - for the sake of helping others - no other reason.

However, in so doing you may discover an open door to a better opportunity.

BTW - I think I learned a new word today - 'spate' - not sure I have ever seen or used that word before.

(Apparently, it is [more] common in the U.K. - not so much in the U.S.)
