(Gal 1:8-9) But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.
According to what Paul stated twice in Galatians, we must not add to or take away from what is written in God's word. So we must examine the scriptures to find all that is written about salvation. Here is I found that leads to our salvation as I find it in scripture.

(Jn 3:16) "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

(Lk 13:3) "I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.

(Rom 10:8-9) But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

(Jn 3:5) Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

So according to what Jesus told Nicodemus, he needed to be born again. How could that happen?

(Rom 6:1-11) What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be [in the likeness] of [His] resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with [Him], that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. For [the death] that He died, He died to sin once for all; but [the life] that He lives, He lives to God.
Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Jesus spoke to Paul on the road to Damascus and Paul was blinded. Jesus told him to go to Damascus and he would be told what he was to become. Do you think Paul believed in Jesus at the point, but was he saved? Ananias told Paul this after Jesus had spoken to him on the road to Damascus.

(Acts 22:16) 'And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.'

(Jas 2:19) You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe--and tremble!

Believing in Jesus Christ is essential, but as we see with the demons, just believing is not enough. We must take all the verses on a topic and add them up to make sure we have the whole picture in order to find out how we find salvation.

We hear the word, we then believe in Jesus Christ, we repent of our sins and our from our past ways, we confess that Jesus is the Son of God before men, and the we are baptized, we are immersed, we are buried with Him in the watery grave of baptism so that we die to our sins, which that burial is a likeness of His death, then as He was resurrected, we rise up out of that watery grave to walk in newness of life., just as Jesus told Nicodemus, we are now born again.

Right! Salvation isn't given to anyone half-heartedly seeking it - it is given to those who seek God with their whole heart! Willing to pay the price - it's well worth it!
Luke 14:27-28

27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?

Believe God just loves you too. Stand in that in prayer over it, that God does just love you, no matter what you have done or might do, that you might not want or care to do anymore.
Start this personal relationship between God and you too. God will teach what is best for you, over self doing that from troubles you have been in.
Since you will, there will possibly be troubles to stop you, yet if you continue you will see through it all and not ever be sorry in the long haul, read the book of Job and see to not deny God also, thanks.
I remember my day, in dying seven times in the Hospital per the doctors and was to not live according to them. I have lived afterwords physically over 12 years now, I got sifted like wheat, God has strengthened me over my willingness to die. God does just love you too, God seeks those that are willing thanks as Father leads not me

op: Salvation, how do we 'find' it?

Scripturally, we don't 'find' it. God Leads us To His Wonderful Message:

The Holy Spirit Convicts us of our sin (John 16:7-9), and, upon "hearing His Word Of Truth":

Either we repent { change our mind }, and believe ( trusting In Him by faith ),
(Acts 20:21; Ephesians 2:5, 8-9, 1:12-14; Romans 3-5; 2 Thessalonians 2:12 AV)

or:

we reject The Love Of The Truth, rather having "pleasure in unrighteousness"
(2 Thessalonians 2:8-11 AV)

Amen.

Isn’t change one’s mind changing from self works flagellation to trusting God’s done work in risen Son to train us new and love everyone the same, whether another believes or not?
I mean renew the mind is to see from God Father’s view now after the resurrection of Son , Jesus
i am not able to perform perfectly. So no chance for me under
law is there? Re-read Galatians fail in one part of Law, one has failed in the whole Law. No chance under Law. Just re-read the first old testament and see all the failures and God continued mercy. Now finished Law?
how he is risen after his death took away all sin first. then risen where Father gives new life freely to all who believe, not just say they do
if Moses and Jesus were face to face here on earth. Moses would ask Jesus credentials please? jesus would say I am not of the levical priesthood, was not born a Levite.
see now the conflict of Law and grace, either we are under Law or under grace, or we are hybrids, mixing the two.
by grace we are saved, not by works. Only by in the done work of Son is anyone saved< born new by God Father’s view of Son. For us to be new Hebrews 7:11-12

‘peanuts and my license for a prize, so one thinks anyways. As a person thinks so is that person (Proverbs 23:1-7)
I have thought, what a mistake that was to think I know, when only God Father and Son know.

I do agree with you that man cannot and will not ever work his way into salvation, he will not ever make that happen. But when we look at all scripture related to a topic, we see something that lets us know there is more to it than just having faith.

(Jas 2:18) But someone will say, "You have faith, and I have works." Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
(Jam 2:20) But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?
(Jam 2:26) For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
Please read scriptures without your preconceived thoughts, because I'm trying to save your soul.

Do you know what works James is talking about?
I see it is not flesh self works, since no flesh will please God, none but Son’s and Son was not born of man, woman, not man

so, putting it in perspective, the only work that is real is the done work of son that is risen where new life is given, never earned ever.
the conundrum of it all, being born as hybrids, not born again in God’s Spirit and truth. Unless one agrees to-reckon oneself to be dead to thier first born nature of evil. John 4:23-24
I still to this day see not to get caught up under Law, yet do, have and do not like it at all., now I see that makes me humble to not be proud. Those that harm others on purpose, that do not care if they do harm others, even if they act as if got it. Usually do not.
I need my Father in risen Son daily to lead in his done work for me and everyone else
anyways James is not talking about any self work, he is talking true work happens in true faith between Father Son as won for them to love all not just a few.
do you hate anyone? At least would not feed if you are faced with them needing fed ?
the call is love all get that imputed 1 Cor 13:4-7 that is what born new again is that type of love, that no flesh can do.
at least me< it is a personal walk
hoping the best for you, thank you, as well as everyone else too.

To repent is more than a 'change of mind'. It is to turn from all known sin and rebellion.
Repent means to change the mind. Turning is a part of the complete process, but is usually mentioned separately. For example

Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations. Ezekiel 14:6
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; Acts 3:19
Converted
G1994 ἐπιστρέφω epistrepho (e-piy-stre'-fō) v.
to revert.

The turning part I guess could be considered changing the heart, but repent specifically means changing the mind

Repent
G3340 μετανοέω metanoeo (me-ta-no-e'-ō) v.
1. to have a change of mind and heart, i.e. to reconsider and relent.

Not According To Scripture: God 'Repenting' = He Does Not "turn from all His known sin and
rebellion [ As He Has NONE! ]. "He Does, However: "Change His Mind" About What He Said He
Would Do!:

"And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God Repented
of the evil, that He Had Said That He Would Do unto them; and He did it not."
(Jonah 3:10 AV)
+
"And God sent an angel unto Jerusalem to destroy it: and as he was destroying,
The LORD beheld, and He Repented Him of the evil, and said to the angel that
destroyed, It is enough, stay now thine hand. And the angel of The LORD stood
by the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite" (1 Chronicles 21:15 AV)

Amen.

From the view given me, yes in Fathers and Son’s done work in Daddy’s Spirit and truth. Father leads, the same as he did through Son for us. Thanks

After we believe and repent—then what? When does the blood of Christ cleanse us of our sins? At the point of faith? At the point of repentance? Why have you left out confession when Romans 10:10 specifically says it is unto salvation and Jesus said if we don’t confess Him, he won’t confess us? Plus we have an example of a sinner confessing just before he is baptized in Acts 8. Why would you do that?

Plus, you have completely ignored what Jesus Said saves us in Mark 16:16. Or what Peter said saves us in 1 Peter 3:21. Why?

You talk as if you are an authority, You are literally under Law, mixed with grace given us all to be freed from under Law.
God just loves you and God is the only one that knows anyone's heart and God changes the Heart in anyone that believes God in risen Son for them to love in mercy and truth. These begin to see new as born new from God Father in risen Son, first the Law is fulfilled in Son for each and every person, by his one time willing death once for us all to turn to God not be under Law ae all anymore. Watch out, you and others have become Hybrids, mixing Law and Grace. Speaking out of two sides of their mouths, saying I am forgiven then saying they need more, not true. BY God in Son as Risen we are forgiven and remain as so from God, no one else that is done for us to be new in love and mercy too, to all, not a few.
I pray for you, as you have written much here on CC, I have no choice e but to tell you the truth
God simply loves you and all others as well, He did that to free us from under Laws. That you keep putting out Laws or else God will get you, that is a lie, and you know this within yourself. there have been enough posts from you here on CC to see this clearly, so I am exposing this. Time to get delivered and see and sincerely see this love of God for you as you are or not.
I hope you repent yourself and stop putting people in bondages over your misinterpretation of scriptures, using them to get people under in bondages under Law as religion is very good at doing that to people
Love you, time for discipline, for you to be discipled or not by God personally first, getting that board in your own eye out of the way, before removing any specks in anyone else's eye
I am not accusing you, I am seeing what you have been doing whether you are aware of it or not, and I do this in love from God to you, to love all as all are called to do that in truth thank you
