Men have physical bodies. All angels are spirits without physical bodies, even though they can appear like they have one

Aren't [angels] all ministering spirits being commissioned into service through the ones being about to inherit salvation? Hebrews 1:14

In the resurrection, the Lord has a spiritual body made of flesh and bones.

1 Corinthians 15:
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.

The angels that ate with Abraham…

1 And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;
2 And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.
3 And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.
4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:
5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.
6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,
7 And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.
8 Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.
9 And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.
10 But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.
11 And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.
12 And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:
13 For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the Lord; and the Lord hath sent us to destroy it.
14 And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.
15 And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
16 And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the Lord being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.

Spirit bodies cannot physically touch a flesh body.

Both Ezekiel and Peter had angels physically touching them hard enough to wake them up and we know Peter even followed the angel.

If an angel can become physical and touch human flesh whose to say what else they can do with a human.

I'm simply quoting what Jesus said. Scripture says angels are spirits. The disciples were afraid because they thought Jesus was a spirit. He told them to touch him because spirits don't have flesh and bone like he did. Jesus' words, not mine.

Both are correct. Angels are ministering spirits, however, they can take on human form at times. God has allowed this as seen throughout scripture.
No, both can't be true otherwise Jesus' words have no meaning. Obviously something different is going on than what you are willing to hear. Angels can appear to have flesh and bone, but they don't have them if you believe Jesus' words, which from my experience some people don't because they contradict their own interpretations

What Jesus said doesn’t nullify other characteristics. It’s true, angels are ministering spirits. But they can also take on human form. Didn’t Jesus?

Did the angels with Abraham eat? Yes. Grab hold of Lot? Yes.

Genesis is just as valid as the words of Jesus. All of it is scripture and can be trusted as truth. Easy to reconcile both.

I would disagree on that. I say the war in Rev 12 is past. Jesus saw satan falling from heaven in the gospel of John, which matches the description in Rev 12.

Plus Rev 12 has the birth of Jesus being described, its clearly 1st century history, which continues on as the dragon wages war upon the saints even till this day.

It is those few words that make the whole theory.... Sons of God.

I agree that angels are neither male or female so they can't reproduce.

Sons of God means, "children of God". Sons and daughters of God.

Gen 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. Context for verse 4,.

Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
1Jn_3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be:
Yes remember there was the line of cain who murdered abel

“And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden. And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch. And unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech. And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah. And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle. And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ. And Zillah, she also bare Tubal-cain, an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubal-cain was Naamah.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭4:16-22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

as d then there was another line of men beginning with Seth who was given by God to replace abel. And his line began to call on the lords name and would be who is referenced as “ the sons of God “

“And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew. And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭4:25-26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

All angels are males.
Nowhere in Scripture does it state that "all angels are males". At best you can state that all angels whose gender is identified are male. That is... what, two? Three? Five? How many angels are there? At least ten thousand times ten thousand (100,000,000).

You're making the error of (gross) extrapolation.

Angels are men…compare scripture to scripture
Wrong. Angels are messengers. Some messengers are human, some appear as human, and some are distinctly not human.

Since you say to compare scripture to scripture, compare these:

Genesis 28:12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.

Genesis 31:11 And the angel of God spake unto me in a dream, saying, Jacob: And I said, Here am I.

Exodus 3:2 And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush

Numbers 22:23 And the ass saw the angel of the Lord standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field

Judges 6:21 Then the angel of the Lord put forth the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and there rose up fire out of the rock, and consumed the flesh and the unleavened cakes. Then the angel of the Lord departed out of his sight.

Judges 13:20 For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the angel of the Lord ascended in the flame of the altar.

2 Samuel 24:15-16a So the Lord sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning even to the time appointed: and there died of the people from Dan even to Beersheba seventy thousand men. And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the Lord repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand.

2 Kings 19:35 And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the Lord went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand:

Psalm 78:25 Man did eat angels' food

Matthew 2:13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise

Matthew 4:11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

Matthew 18:10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 28:2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

Luke 1:11-12 And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.

John 20:12 And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.

Acts 5:19 But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth

Acts 12:23 And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.

Need I go on? These are not "men"; they are a different species entirely. Men cannot do these things. There would be no point in telling us that men ate the food of men. Men cannot appear in the dreams of others (by their own doing). Men don't ascend in flames. Et cetera.

I have always believed this to be the case.

Genesis 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

However I have come to doubt this theory now as i've actually read the book of Enoch and it contradicts the Bible in some details, not to mention just doesn't "sound right" Doesn't sound like its from the spirit of God. I can discern that its not. You may disagree thats fine but that is where we must agree to disagree.

Jesus says: Matthew 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.

How could angels coming down and fornicating with women work if this is the case?

Is there any credible alternative explanation? In the OT, "sons of God" most often means angels, doesn't it?

Help a brother out here.
I had a similar experience. I knew Enoch was quoted in the book of Jude, so when I saw something on TV referencing a copy of his book having been found and produced, I immediately went and ordered it off the internet. When I read it though, it didn't feel reliable. Like you I particularly noted that the whole idea of angels having sex with humans was counter to what Jesus said about angels as you quote. Seeing as how only one Church is credited with preserving the book of Enoch, coupled with this experience, I find the whole book suspect.

Then years later when God brought me to a church where prophecy was practiced, this very issue of if angels mating with humans came up. The summary was that the sons of God is simply a reference to human men and women in a voluntary human breeding program. It's intent was evil, sort of like a genetic Tower of Babel.

As for the lingo, it's not unreasonable that they had their own cliches and poetic phrasing that we are not familiar with today. Anyway, take or leave my answer. It isn't a core issue, so long as people aren't rejecting the Bible over it. I'm not interested in debating or arguing about it.

Of note, I once encountered an angel that at least appeared as a woman. It fit a pattern at the time where God seemed to be correcting my internalizing of my father's error of dismissing mine and all women's capabilities for certain skills (ex. mechanics, finance) and 'she' looked to be a technician for the phone company (FYI, there was about to be a life and death emergency at my house and the real phone company had been failing utterly at fixing things such that without that angel I wouldn't have been able to call for help. God is good!).

Since I know of two women who once encountered an angel when they had car trouble and didn't realize it till they discussed it thereafter and discovered that they had seen different things (old/young, rich/poor), I think that much of what we experience with angels is what we need or expect rather than a literal set of traits. In other words it is an interpretation of the spiritual.

the angel which spoke to Menoah asking, "why do you ask my name, seeing that it is wonderful" was effectively asking something like, "Why are you trying to pinpoint infinity?"

*will return with further thoughts on the war in heaven when "Michael and his angels fought with the Dragon and his angels..."
