A total of 36,386 total acres have burned in seven total fires in the last four days in the Los Angeles area. That is the equivalent of 57 square miles.
That is double what we were told the day before.
Thursday -- 17,000 acres
Friday -- 36,000 acres

He got lucky. He got a lot of money from his dad. He exaggerated his own wealth for a long time; then he got The Apprentice show based on the false idea he was some great businessman, which generated a lot of cash for him. It wasn't anything he did really, except establish the Trump brand. He made his name synonymous with wealth and people bought it. People like to back a winner, whether he or she is really a winner or not; if they believe it, that's good enough.
At this moment we should consider that this fire in LA was intentional. There is plenty of evidence to suggest they have been preparing for this to take place and if we are wrong that it is intentional we were simply giving them the benefit of the doubt. The only other explanation is that their incompetence and corruptions is much worse.
However, if this fire was intentional to get the land cheap, then that makes it even more likely that this was also the case in Lahaina.
And if those two were intentional to clear the land of the peasants and open it up to new development, then you have to remember the mortgage meltdown did pretty much the same thing, a plan on making money by having people pay for homes for five years then pull the rug out on them and retake possession of the house which you can then sell again.

Yeah I've been saying this. As if people deserve to have their homes burned for having political opinions. But conservatism is antithetical to empathy

Yes, the way to understand this is not that LA is more sinful than the rest of the world, but that what we are seeing happen there will happen to us as well on the day of Judgement unless we repent.
Only you would equate paying close attention to what is going on as "rejoicing about people's houses being burned"

Do not worry the mayor is going to do a complete investigation after the fires are put out to see if there was anything they could have done to keep from having an area the size of Atlanta Georgia burn down every time it gets windy in LA.
Let's hope the Mayor's investigation includes determining if this had an impact

Jesus said that you must forgive 70x7 times. That is 490 times. That is a very long time, but it is not infinite, it is not eternity, at some point you must appear before the judgement seat.
The gospel was preached to the four corners of the earth. If you give each corner 490 years to repent that comes to 1,960 years. The next year could therefore be the year that judgment falls. 1961 +70 AD when the temple was destroyed the church was dispersed to the four corners of the earth gives you 2031 AD.
This is not a trivial conjecture. Jesus said the only sign that would be given this evil and adulterous age is the sign of Jonah. In that sign Jonah preached for forty days walking up and down throughout the streets telling them to repent for in 40 days they will be overthrown. 1,961 years is 40 jubilees. Because the jubilee year is the 50th year many think 40 jubilees would be 2,000 years. But that is not how a jubilee is calculated. The Jews measure years by seven, a week of years. After seven weeks of years, the next year is the jubilee year which is also the first year of the 8th week. Ten jubilees would be 10x49+1 or 491 years. 40 jubilees is 40x49+1 = 1961 years.
Just like when you take an exam that has a time limit. Time is up. I am not sad about this, because this age was always supposed to be temporary with a wedding at the end. Everyone has been invited, if they don't want to go, that is up to them. If they would rather have a big house with a swimming pool on the Palisades in California, that is their choice. God respects man's right to free will. As for me, I would rather have Jesus.
i basically agree, but also, when Jesus said no man knows the day and the hour, that means everyone.
so, if you watch, you do not to try to figure out when , you will be ready whenever the time comes.
as i heard a pastor say a long time ago, " stay ready, then you won't have to get ready".
So that means we don't know the day of the rapture. OK, but did Jesus ever say we don't know the day that the two witnesses are killed? No. In fact Paul said that the Holy days in the Bible are a shadow of things to come.
We are told that when the two witnesses are killed the Jews have to flee to the wilderness. That is a picture of Israel rejecting the two spies, Caleb and Joshua. Caleb denotes the Gentiles who are raptured and Joshua denotes Jesus. So then the 9th of Av is a shadow of the day the Jews rejected the two witnesses and were cursed to die in the wilderness.
Well the ministry of the two witnesses is 1,260 days. So that gives us a very precise picture of when their ministry begins. Jesus told the foolish virgins who were not ready for the wedding feast to go to those who sold oil. Many assume that is the two olive trees, the two witnesses.
Also, how about the day that Israel is raised up after the curse is over? According to Hosea at the end of two days they will be revived and on the third day they will be raised up. Jesus never said we don't know the day that takes place. Sure enough there is another holy day on the Jewish calendar when the Jews were raised up after the curse ended. Every year on the 9th of Av they would dig graves and lie in them and a portion of them would die in that night. Then when the curse was over they thought they might have miscalculated the day and they continued to lie in the graves until the 15th, a full moon, when they realized the curse was over. The 15th of Av they rose up out of the graves and the curse was over. Well, David ruled in Hebron (which signifies heaven) for 7 1/2 years before he went to Jerusalem. So if you go back a half year from the 15th of Av you come to the same day of the year that you get if you go back 1,260 days from the 9th of Av.
But we know more than that. Samson pushing out the two pillars took place on a big pagan holiday. It just so turns out that the day you arrive at if you go back 1,260 days from the 9th of Av or a half year from the 15th of Av is a big pagan holiday.
None of those clues tells you the day, but they definitely narrow it down. Proverbs 7:20 says the Lord returns on a full moon. That narrows it down as well. Jesus told the Jewish disciples that they didn't know the day, that tells me it is not one of the Holy days on the Jewish calendar, that also narrows it down.
Jeremiah tells you that the summer is over and the harvest is past when those who are left behind are left behind. That also narrows it down.
