Romans 8:29.
Besides this, the context of the verses makes it plain that unbelievers are in view.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

That's got nothing to do with hard added Christians try again

Well, in case the problem might truly be at my end, I went to the doctor's office where I got a shot of testosterone. So far, I have not seen any noticeable differences or results. Here...you decide for yourself.

Having seen the "after" photo twice now, I am thinking that I might be eating too much broccoli. I am also thinking that I probably should cut down on my intake of baked beans to prevent explosive fires from occurring behind me in the future...

Ha Ha...... Well I am thankful God doesn't judge us by our appearance. Of course I know you are joking. (I hope)
That bottom picture would send me runningggggggggggggggggggg.:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

How does blinding Christians from truth conform a believer into the image of Christ?

Well, did you?

Either way, could you please repost your response to what I had written? The suspense is getting to me. I have already bitten off all of my fingernails and toenails. I tried to bite off my neighbor's fingernails too, but, boy, can she jump a fence!

Come on!

What did you say?

How Many Christians Does It Take to Change a Light Bulb?
Michael Duduit

Charismatic: Only 1 – Hands are already in the air.

Pentecostal: 10 – One to change the bulb, and nine to pray against the spirit of darkness.

Presbyterians: None – Lights will go on and off at predestined times.

Baptists: At least 15 – One to change the light bulb, and three committees to approve the change and decide who brings the potato salad and fried chicken.

Episcopalians: 3 – One to call the electrician, one to mix the drinks, and one to talk about how much better the old one was.

Unitarians: We choose not to make a statement either in favor of or against the need for a light bulb. However, if in your own journey you have found that light bulbs work for you, you are invited to write a poem or compose a modern dance about your light bulb for the next Sunday service, in which we will explore a number of light bulb traditions, including incandescent, fluorescent, 3-way, long-life and tinted, all of which are equally valid paths to luminescence.

Methodists: Undetermined – Whether your light is bright, dull, or completely out, you are loved. You can be a light bulb, turnip bulb, or tulip bulb. Bring a bulb of your choice to the Sunday lighting service and a covered dish to pass.

Nazarene: 6 – One woman to replace the bulb while five men review church lighting policy.

Lutherans: None – Lutherans don’t believe in change.

Amish: What’s a light bulb?

Yes, I see it.

I hear you in relation to your short testimony. I have experienced so much betrayal in my life that it is a wonder that I am still alive. Like you, I regularly search my heart before the Lord to keep any root of bitterness from possibly destroying me. I have never had a thought of self-hurt or anything like that, but I was thinking, just last night, that it might have been better for me if I had never been born. I am not looking for sympathy or anything like that, but my life truly has been one of one betrayal after another, after another, etc., etc. It's heart wrenching, but what can one do except seek the grace of God to both endure it and to continue moving forward?

Anyhow, I definitely don't fear the coming great tribulation. What? You want to chop off my head? Hold on just a second while a draw a dotted line across my neck with this indelible marker...lol. It's not that bad, but almost.

Hmm you said you did not see my response but here it is again Is this what you meant??
Thank you so much for taking time to answer. I could not agree more. I do believe things are going to get much worse. We are no different than any other country (who have it so much worse, N. Korea, China believers). I, too experience many trials/tribulations. Sometimes an attack hits me so hard I am blindsided and cannot see what's happening at first. Yet we are never alone! God is always with us and the Holy Spirit resides in us and we are marked in Him, the promised Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 1:13
And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit.

I hear you on the Christian friends topic. Very few here too. Most of them are in other states. I have tried hard to find a church. I came to the conclusion until God leads I just cannot find one. After driving to dozens over the last years of moving to this state.

Short testimony: The last few days I felt extremely overwhelmed with oppression. Admittedly, after searching my heart with the help of God, I realized I was harboring unforgiveness towards some people that I felt abandoned by. I went into my prayer closet and confessed to Jesus the names of each person I was feeling these hurt feelings towards. The heaviness lifted. Sometimes it is the enemy and sometimes it is our own sin! I'm so thankful for the Holy Spirit who is our counselor, comforter, and guide!

The Holy Spirit prays for us, and Jesus Christ intercedes for us at the throne of God. We are so blessed.

Romans 8:26-27
26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.

Hebrews 7:25
Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

Hebrews 4:14-26
Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Laugheth out loudeth. Remind me to never plan to have lunch with you.

Me: Meet me out front in a few minutes.
You: How did I wind up in the backwoods of Kentucky...?
You do have a wild sense of humor!

This is a whole different world. Probably why I disappeared for 10 years.

I do, but I seemingly offended you with it. For that, I am truly sorry. It will not happen again.
.......and no "thank you for giving it your best efforts" (?) My goodness. Such manners.
Sorry about that as well. My stupid sense of humor gets me in trouble at times. I actually am quite mannerly. That was a poor attempt at humor on my part. Again, I am truly sorry, and it will not happen again.

I am not offended. I just did a deep dive searching for my former response and it all was wrong. I tried. I am one of those types to try to help as much as possible.

I truly am sorry. I thought that we were having a playful exchange, and you were smiling in your avatar. A total misread on my part. As I said earlier, you seem to have a gentle spirit, so I do not doubt that you try to help as much as possible. Again, it was simply a case of my stupid humor getting me in trouble again. It is my fault, and it will not happen again. I truly am sorry.
