We're in a computer simulation?

A.) Well, to agree we're inside a computer simulation we'd first have to agree we're inside a computer.

B.) So far, I haven't seen any evidence I'm inside a computer.

When faced with a lack of evidence to the contrary, it's epistemically warranted to just accept your normal human experience as authoritative.

Have a great weekend everyone.
.
Before i give you this evidence i have a question.

Do you believe in God without any evidence?

I do NOT believe in God without any evidence.

We have both internal and external evidence of God's existence, and we also have a direct experience OF him.

Thank you.
ZNP gave you part of the answer.
The other part is that some theoretical physicists think that the universe operates like a highly efficient computational system, minimizing information content to reduce computational load—a hallmark of a simulated reality.

Here's one article here. There are many but this is a recent one which popped up on my news feed which led me to search for anything here.

Some physicists?

It isn't all physicists, or even the majority of physicists?

So you're suggesting we toss out all of our normal understandings and experiences of life, on the suggestion of a very odd hypothesis, which isn't even a majority view among the experts?

This isn't proof your hypothesis is untrue, but it does suggest I have more reason to disbelieve it than to believe it.

This is simply another 'proof' that God exists, which is something that i've mentioned before and it's a discussion that typically comes up in atheist circles.
They don't like to use the word God so they use the word Simulation.

That's why i like it because it's another supporting theory that a Creator who we know as The Holy Trinity is in charge.
We don't know a lot of details about the Creation but everywhere we look we find miracles we can't explain.

Whether this is base reality or a simulation, the important thing is that in either case or whatever other case it may be (some say we're a hologram projection from a 2 dimensional source) God is in control.
This is a topic which i typically use with atheist circles as a bridge to bring them closer to knowing Christ.
This is the wrong audience to discuss this topic because we're all Christians here but like i said, this is a topic that i enjoy to discuss with atheists.

I've yet to be convinced this is a good proof for God's existence.
But if it turns out that it is... I'm all in.

Agreed.

This is more of a bridge to be used with atheists to lead them into a re-arrangement of language and concepts.

"What you call a simulation, implies that an omnipotent being is in control. In Christianity we call that The Holy Trinity".

But like i said, this is the wrong audience to have this discussion because we're all Christians here. This is more of a 'tool' to discuss with non-believers.

I already brought this up in PM.
I have a lot of questions, and problems, lol.

I'm skeptical, but I'm willing to look it over and discuss it as an apologetics argument.

this side of existence is the temporary, Spirit Side is The True reality as its Eternal, temporary must put on the Eternal, this system tries its hardest to convince us this is all there is.....we spend more time in the Eternal so where is the True Level of Existence? Shalom xx

A computer simulation is one way to explain the near death experiences that many have had. In that experience they might be dead for fifteen minutes and yet for them it was like months of time.

I think the rest of us are real... but ZNP is a simulation.

I've been sorta thinking that for a while.

don't be afraid even though you will experience some fear...when we reach the point of saying its my time and we let go off earth we experience pure Shalom xx Shalom xx

I don't think it's a question of 'being afraid' more of an interesting theory or concept, to explain why people who experience clinical death, sometimes up to an hour, report time as sort of 'meaningless' or 'no sense of time' .
They also report 'being everywhere by thinking about it' or 'communicating without words" which is a huge problem for us here in our limited language.

All of this describes the union we know of in the Bible when we are in the presence of The Holy Trinity.

"He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end "

it's funny that the word trinity doesn't appear once in the Holy Scripture, if it was a reality that word would be everywhere in It, Father Is , Yeshua Is , Holy Spirit Is yet iam bold enough to say that Son and Holy Spirit are not all the same Level as Father, Father is One not 3, Elohim is what He Addressed HimSelf as to Moshes, Elohim Means God Is One xxx Father is Above all....Most High, Shalom xx
